@scottyt5918 was Aungst fired because of his kid last year? it's pretty refreshing to not only see the return of the cadet's stoicism but also hear beddis tuning and beats again.
Wow, the quality here is very impressive. Definitely better than what I've seen from cadets in some time. I also love the snare tuning and the uniforms.
James Sparling doing that work! We owe him so much at ♾️🟣🥁 He, Noah and Sam led our program to an entire other level and the members always loved them. Great guy and fantastic percussion educator. 🥁😁🙌🏼🎶
And I agree with everyone here: Cadets sound great and have that true no nonsense intensity I always loved about them back when I marched and in ensuing years of their reign as one of the gold standard programs. Respect one and all!
Is Beddis doing Cadets this year? Snare tuning and writing is very Crown 09,10! If the tenor line gets on the same page as the other sections I think these guys will be on fire in August. Nice job guys!
It makes me so happy to hear this “classic” Cadets sound. Don’t get me wrong, I have always appreciated what Aungst had done, but the line has not hit me musically or visually for the past few years. Thank you, Beddis, for bringing the attention back to the book…which is super awesome and tight!
Oh my goodness!!! Clean!!!!!! Clean!!!! Clean!!!! If they are this clean 3 days ago, holy jeeeez I can’t wait to hear them at finals. Cadets always on top of their game. Thank you Lee Beddis. Thank you for keeping it all cadets. Thank you for not over exaggerating the ballet dancing. In your face cadets……..the way it should be🎉
@@chrisnelson2948 I agree, though they are far than the worse I've seen. So far Troopers and Cavaliers seem to have the best looking modern DCI uniforms in my opinion.
Snares are playing really well through some tough passages. Love the tuning too - Snares have some of that old school crown sound, basses sound unmistakably cadets haha. Keep up the great work yall!
Like 4:07 there’s a few “stop and go”, attacks on the upbeat, etc. in moments where I know the hands want to keep truckin and the snares handle the space REALLY well. Hand pressure changes from rolls to singles in the same meter are IN THERE too. Extremely impressive.
Loosen the top head tension just a turn. Goodness, it sounds a lot like playing on a 5 gallon bucket or drywall. Deeper not tighter in this case. Great chops, but the drums sound cheap. Sorry. Just my opinion.
2023 CADETS DRUMLINE GREAT TALENT HORNLINE TALENT COLORGUARD TALENT , EXTREME TALENT THIS YEAR, THE FIELD LOUNGE WEAR WITH A SLOW MOVING DRILL I CANT GET USED TOO, SORRY JUST BEING HONEST.
I have a question about uniforms. I have seen both this uniform and the traditional Cadets uniform in use this year. Was this a temporary uniform until this year’s came in? Do they wear these when it’s too hot? Thanks whoever can explain this for me
They started that in the 80's under Zingali 1) To break down old habits and build up new ones (just like the army) 2. To be different/innovate 3.Right foot lead is common practice in the theater 4. It is now a corps tradition.
Love Love Love Cadets .....but! Those dots are just on top of each other way too much. Whish they were more musical and break the tenor parts away from the snare score. Awesome all the same. Clean from a very talented line. 👍 Get It .
Best snare line tuning I’ve heard in a minute. Sounds really cadets-y like it should!
I'm getting some Cadets of old vibes from this book.
Hate to see a legend like Aungst leave under anything but his own terms but goddamn,,, Beddis was meant to write for the Cadets
I knew the writing was different, what happened or is Augnst writing anywhere else this year!?
@@buckdaciouspretty sure he’s a consultant for Cavies iirc

Haven't heard shot quality like this in a while. Thank you!
I think it's no coincidence considering Beddis is writing this year (a la Crown '09)
Right up there with Magic '99. #iykyk
Training tape.
This is that classic cadets sound :’)
Yo the flavor is different this year and I’m totally digging it!! Damn this season is gonna be wild!! Let’s go Cadets!!
Wow, the quality here is very impressive. Definitely better than what I've seen from cadets in some time. I also love the snare tuning and the uniforms.
Y’all don’t even understand how underrated these unis are … imagine how comfortable they are. Compressions under the shorts 👌🏾👌🏾 sign me up 🔥
bluecoats this year look ridiculously comfy
I just wish the ankles were covered... looks kinda tacky that way. But I otherwise think this is a good way to keep the members cool.

Love your Drumline ! And its not a secret I love the Cadets for a while ! But this performance is a MUST ! Congradulation to the Cadets !
@4:48 Jake Gall.
My boy Keith on snareline making OUDL proud 🔥🔥🔥
badass.
Very Impressive. Great clarity and blend. Better than last years for sure. Just wish the writing were more musical and not so monotone

Oh yeah clean as hell. Let's go ALEX GILBERT and FRANK DELEON!!! Can't wait to see y'all in San Antonio
Seeing the uniforms in action makes me like them a whole lot better. SUPER clean.

So many DCI lines killing it early this year, good stuff
That solo intro reminded me quite a bit of Bluecoats 09. I think the 3rd part.

WOOOOO EAST COAST

They should change their stick tape color to burgundy. It blends too well against the uniform and I want to see the PRECISIONNNNNNNN
Its honestly probably a good strategy to hide any potential visual dirt
@@shadycrescent9369 They're the Cadets! I think they'd love that challenge. :)
Mad love for Lee Beddis's beats being back on the field, and more mad love for drum lines wearing their uniforms over their carriers again.
Totally. I love the aggressive, biting energy of Beddis’ music.
Everybody talks about Lee Beddis but I think James Sparling deserves more credit than he gets.
@@AstroMagi I do love the Sparling era of Madison Scouts a lot

The cop had to back up to listen to these fire beats.
Yes!

Awesome

Fuck yeah that’s an awesome book right there

Crazy good line. Pit too. Should be scoring neck and neck with BD, Blooo, and BAC in percussion. And their brass should too.
One of the better snare lines. Writing style feels somewhat… familiar… BTW is that James Sparling!!!!!!!!!!!
