Yep do it,, bought my black pvd version of this watch and sold my modest collection a few weeks later. I never take it off (apart from bed) it's the best watch I've ever owned its so comfortable on wrist too. The only bad things about this watch are the lume is totally USELESS after 2 min, literally worst lume I've experienced. And hamilton don't make black pvd stainless strap 22mm for my version.
I bought this watch in 2015 , the early years of my watch collecting and still love it today ,even though my collection has most of the big Swiss names in it .
A sweet piece indeed! I bought a khaki yrs back and I wear it more than any other in my collection. Hammys are excellent watches for the money! Thank you for watching and commenting. I love hearing things like this. 👍🏻⌚️👊🏻
I own this watch and I absolutely recommend it if you can find someone who can order it from Europe for you as it's not carried by U.S. sellers anymore. Get the stainless steel bracelet. A truly masculine looking watch with the quality and style you'd expect from Hamilton. This is a watch you'll own your entire life.
+Watch On Hey brother great to hear from you! I have bin hearing that comment a lot on this watch. But you gotta Love It, so stand alone to Hamilton. Thanks👍👊⌚
Yeah, I've been sorely tempted by the Hamilton Aviation watches in the past and your review isn't helping me resist making an impulse purchase! I think I'm drifting toward the "Interstellar" variant with the day display near the center with a 42mm case. This is an interesting modern take on the WWII flieger B-type dial (although the triangle at 12 o'clock is upside down) and wears pretty big on the wrist due to the lack of bezel. I see it has one of the new ETA Powermatic movements which trades a longer power reserve for a lower beat rate (3Hz or 21,600 BPH). I've owned a Khaki Automatic and was very impressed with the overall finishing of the watch.
+Lee K Hello Lee. The finish on these are very well done. And I tend to agree with you on the 42mm case. The whole design of these watches are Very stand alone to Hamilton which makes them very appealing to me. I have bin personally interested in the new pilot aviation pioneer, but even more in a different direction the Hamilton Flintridge. Which only 999 are being made. The collectability of This model has bin driving me towards it tremendously. Hamilton is such an iconic brand with great quality that's hard to beat. Weather you prefer eta or not it is a brand to be reckoned with. Please keep me informed on your choice I'm very Interested! Thanks always for your great comments. 👍👊
@Watches Galore well its warming on me. Not quite the same impact is my stainless below zero, but I like it. Waiting for a leather strap to come as I have the bracelet version.
+TimeToGo Travel And Timepieces Excellent watch brother! Great choice. Hamilton is brand that is hard to beat weather you like them or not!! I truly appreciate you sharing it with me and the viewers!👍👊
Man.. Im so picky and i upset myself being that way.. i wish it had more lume and i wish the double dots where next to the triangle at the 12 o'clock. But.. It is Swiss, Sapphire, and automatic, But for 660-850$ depending where you buy it.. im wondering if i should just buy a German Laco or Stowa.. anyone have any opinions?
I totally understand brother! Laco is definitely a sweet watch and Stowa is also. Keep looking maybe you will find something that strikes up more. I will say Hamilton is hard to beat. But that's my opinion. And that's what makes watches such a personal choice. It all about what you enjoy!👍👍👊
Hi Scott big and beautiful and the strap really sets it off brilliantly. I waited a long time for my own Hamilton, a triple black khaki black dial black case and strap.i intend to try and get a khaki stainless steel silver dial , the first one was an impulse buy I'll thought out but still a keeper. How are you and family I gather the hurricane didn't have any effect on you that far north at least I hope it didn't
+Paul Brady Hello Paul The step on this guy is awesome and does look so good on the piece. The khaki models are very nice. And I sounds like you have a nice one there. I was looking into the khaki aviation pioneer. The newer one that comes with a NATO strap. What do you think of them. Thanks for asking, yes we are all good here just got some showers from that bad boy. Hope all is well with you and yours brother!!👍👍
+Rey Maduro Rey if you are coming to the event. Please email Brent L. Miller just to let them know you are interested in coming. They like a general count. Thanks
+phillyskate16 Hello I have heard that. Also Casio etc... if my facts are correct. Hamilton watch company made the first LED Digital watch in 1970. Here is a link to one of many sites I used to look up their history. I would assume there is big controversy Over bragging rights for that. I try to bring good info to my viewer and if I'm wrong I am very glad to be corrected. I want to be corrected. Check out this link Ill send more if you like and let me know what you think brother. Thanks for watching and commenting!👍👍👊 www.hamiltonwatch.com/spirit-history/history-timeline
$995 from Hamilton with the stainless steel bracelet. They're hard to get on the grey market and you'll probably have to order it directly from a Hamilton dealer as a special order. I love this watch. Bold but classy with the quality and design you expect from Hamilton.
yep, got my Hamilton refunded a couple of weeks ago.. I ordered it online, for the price it was obvious to me that the sapphire comes with AR coating. It didn't. I called Hamilton Customer Service, they confirmed that none of the Field Series have AR ... it seems that the Aviation/Pilot models have either... Too bad. way too bad.
AR is overrated IMO. Sometimes I just want that watch to bling in the sun lol. Also, I think it was a good idea to not include it in this watch because of how they designed the numbers to reflect light. AR coating would be working against one of the most appealing characteristics of this dial.
A pilot's watch it isn't. Depending on lighting angle the minute markers can disappear ... legibility is a MUST for pilots. Hamilton have 'styled' this after the Type B flieger watch, predominately issued to navigators/observers where minutes, not hours, were important and hence emphasised. The original fliegers had sterile dials and no day/date complications. The absence of lume on the arabic minute and hour markers is telling and proves Hamilton has produced a mere fashion watch ... FAIL !!
+Brian Hinder Very well put Brian. Lume is a major factor for me. Not to change the subject. Send me a email sometime. I'd like to ask you something. Take care brother!

Hello Timothy. I can't agree more. Hamilton quality and class, if you can find one. Usually ebay every now and then!👍🏻👍🏻👊🏻
I just ordered it from nordstroms for $590 in the US. They are still available here.
@@lasado27 Were you able to get the 46MM with the stainless bracelet? Nordstrom had the 42mm in black when I ordered mine.
This is a beautiful watch! I'll have to look at getting one of these.
+Charles Kelly Absolutely. Hamilton is such a if Iconic piece. Great quality and value. 👍👍👊
Hamilton make great watches. I like this one but the day-date window does distort the symmetry of the dial I think. Thanks for the review Scott 👍🏻
+Watch On Hey brother great to hear from you! I have bin hearing that comment a lot on this watch. But you gotta Love It, so stand alone to Hamilton. Thanks👍👊⌚
I want to buy this watch so much!!
Oh yeah! Very nice watch indeed. Sometimes great deals on jomashop!👍👍👊
엄청 큰거같은데 흠
Just got this, amazing watch!
Great choice! I can feel your happiness!👍🏻👍🏻Congrats and wear in good health!!

Ordered one today!

Congrats M.M. Very good choice. You just gotta love this Hammy! Wear in good health brother!!👍🏻👍🏻👊🏻
Awesome review Scott. Glad you enjoyed the watch. Cheers brother:)

Nice review- subbed. I have the other Hamilton Day date at 12 and 6.
Thank you very much on both accounts. I subscribed to you also. You have a wonderful piece. Hamilton is such a great brand!👍🏻👊🏻⌚
Watches Galore many thanks 🙏 keep up the great work! 👏👊🏻
Enjoy that cool watch Scott - I love my Interstellar :)
I want this so much, but it's too big for me. I realize it's a pilots watch but 42 is the max for my wrist.
David Koba Hi David. I agree it is a little big. I have a 7.25 wrist and it works! Thank you for watching and commenting!👍👊⌚
you can be a captain america!!!!
They make it in a 42mm version

Watch Interstellar and decide man
I wish it had white hands rather than polished.
The Interstellar version is a 42mm right? Also more expensive than this one? could you do a comparison?
I'd love to when I get my hands on one. This one wast sent to me for review. 👍🏻👍🏻

Thanks!👍🏻
Can anyone tell me cost of this watch in 2020
I'm thinking high 400 low 5's. There are a few on ebay now.

I'm also a Lancaster County PA Dutchman.
Poor lume!
Agreed. Hammy could do a better job on that. Thanks for watching and commenting!👍🏻👊🏻⌚
That's a Hirsch Liberty strap.....
+Chris Gennin Thanks Chris I should have mentioned that!!👍👊
Watches Galore I have that same strap :-)
Chris Gennin You're right. The original strap is very similar but this is a Hirsch:)
+Chris Gennin it's a beauty!!

Brian Hinder since I’m not a pilot, I don’t care. Beautiful watch!
@@itsalgud1459 ....I am a pilot, in today's aircraft, a watch is simply not needed. Modern aircraft contain a myriad of ways to track time.
