totally wow - a friend of mine has signed up so I had to find out what this is all about. I am amazed and can't wait to hear her results. Fair play to all of you - this is a beast but what a challenge.
Anyone got any advice on gear please? I am fine with trainers, I mean bag/pack, any specific recommendations? With all the mandatory kit will a waist bag be enough? I'd prefer not to have to run 22 miles with a backpack if possible but it's looking unlikely!! Also, what clothes on top half. Obviously weather will dictate to an extent but assuming relatively mild weather I'm thinking a decent dry fit vest/T-shirt and a warmer base layer in my bag as well as the mandatory waterproof jacket. Sound correct?

Oh god I so wish I could! With a marathon a month later and a 24 hour race the same month I dont think I can sadly :(
