Kind of scary to find out how we Americans have been told a very different story about how the people in other countries are isn't it. Think of the stereotypical messages we've been told about Cubans, Iranians, etc and it sort of explain how our troops go into those regions with guns ready to fire. People in general just want a steady job and food for their children, they really could give a rip about democracy, republic, socialism, etc
The absolute most beautiful things about Vietnam, and especially the rural areas like here, is that you can get by so well without a common language. It's amazing how a smile and open attitude can get you so far. Look how welcoming and friendly literally all of these people are to Harald because he shows an interest in them and happily approaches them. Let's compare this to China for example where people would be talking and snickering about him and trying to rip him off at every given opportunity. Vietnam is a fantastic country.

That was amazing. I never stop learning thanks to your travels. Now I have research to do on your latest meal. The best part about being an instructor is learning. I knew everything when I graduated culinary school in 1984. Come to find out there’s s a whole world of knowledge out there to learn. Thank You

Yeah, wtf was that?
I enjoyed this video....i pretty much enjoy all your videos.🇺🇸🇯🇲🌴☀️🌴
Hahaha. Almost daylight here and I'm still watching your Vietnam videos. Loving it! :-)
Big biggggg fan from the UK! 🇬🇧 I don’t miss any of your uploads! I’m hoping we can meet sometime. I have traveled across the world but nothing like you! Appreciate your effort uploading such high quality and interesting videos! Keep safe and take it easy my friend
I'm a new subscriber and you are awesome. I am Vietnamese so I really appreciate how you came to this country with literally no research on the culture so your reactions are genuine. Most Vietnamese bloggers nowadays already know every Vietnamese food so the reactions aren't as interesting. Keep up the great work. I wish you would stay in Vietnam forever. I loved your random adventure on that boat hahaha
So you can expressed what i want to talk to him also! Mr Happy Harald, notice this tip and it would be nice, stay in Vietnam💋
Driving into that smoke for three times had me laughing out LOUD! 😂😂
A kid at heart ! Lol
Hi Girl Gamer ;)
Am I crazy or did he do that before? I would've sworn I've seen him do exactly this once before haha.
@@dadanishguy Oh hi! You again 😊
Girl Gamer girls are gamers too .oh right
Harald. ..I'm addicted to your channel. ..I spend too much time accompanying you on your adventures. ..I love your wit. ..Ireland
Man this is making me miss my own journey through Vietnam so much. Reminds me of when i rode my shitty Detech Espero from Hanoi to Ha Giang and back. Just the feeling of freedom, having no obligations apart from making it to a destination and finding food and drinks along the way is such an adventure :) Btw, your videos totally inspired me to book a one-way ticket to Saigon and step very far out of my comfort zone and go on that awesome adventure which has by far been the best experience of my life! I can't wait for my next journey.
I flew one way to Tokyo for my round the world adventure. It took them two hours questioning, but finally let me out of the airport into the city. They asked how long do you stay and where do you go. I said, no idea. I begin from here and out at other side of your country. LOL! 4 years later, I came back and got married.

The fruit u buy from that lady is custard apple and is very sweet. ..
do you just eat it like an apple?
@@canadude2010 you have to remove the skin first! There's also big black seeds you need to spit out or avoid. It's tasty, but a lot of work.
@@canadude2010 just break that fruit in half and eat what inside minus the seed of course.

Love what you are doing Harald, keep on spreading the love! :-)
You are a Brave Man, Harald !!! Thank you for taking us to these places we would never have the chance( or bravery) to see and experience!!!
I’m going to Vietnam in two months, this is because of this video. Those people look so friendly and happy and the food is out of this world. I’ve been in Thailand before but I want to experience many more Asian countries because of your videos, you’re awesome man.
