Here’s my perspective on the difference regarding Eminem dissing somebody’s age back then and somebody trying to diss Eminem’s age now: When Eminem used Benzino‘s age as a diss, it was from the perspective of him still trying to blow up (but still being relatively unknown in terms of being a respected artist and still trying to chase the dream of blowing up at the age of 40 hits different than somebody trying to make fun of Em just for his age alone…because obviously Eminem is one of the highest selling artists in history, so it’s not like he’s still chasing that pipe dream of getting noticed. He’s had a 20+ year career in this arena already…so it just doesn’t hit the same (essentially, Em mentioning “age” is actually just the set up bar for the “you have no career” punchline).
Back in these days Eminem had so much passion when he got into a industry beef with anybody he couldn't be beat because of the passion and his word play and the way he set up everything he had to say to anybody especially Benzino and again I will say it he predicted Benzino's future he told him he would never be famous he'll never blow and he's never did, if that doesn't tell you when you're mad enough and you say something that shit will stick see I believe in that stuff, karma is a bitch!

Ya forgot to mention too, when Eminem says the “ur old” diss here, it’s more like “you’re old and u still haven’t blown as a rapper, give up” so it wasn’t just an “ur old” diss just to diss his age. He’s saying ur old, stop acting the way u do. BUT when MGK dissed Em’ with the “ur old” bars it was lame bcuz look at Eminems success AND how much better Em’ has gotten in his old age. So MGKs “old” diss was just lame. Em’s diss towards benzino had a purpose and made sense.
