There’s a little bar that Cliff missed here… Em said: “I’m the kind of guy, that’s kinda mild, but i might flip and make it a little wilder”. Well… he used the words “Mild” and “Wilder”. If you flip the M in “Mild” you get the word “Wild”. Man, what a wordsmith🔥🔥🔥🔥
I met someone in one of the first uni seminars I had, immediately we were chatting and she invited me back to her place for drinks before a night out that same evening, got buzzed up to her room and she was playing "Sarah" off of Tyler's "Bastard" album (She just had the whole album playing but that track happened to be on), maybe not the best first impression track haha but we are still very good friends to this day.
I blast fack in the mall parking lot for fun but seriously I have no problem bumping Em in the ride and homies who I give rides too don't mind it either actually this song slaps hard with a good sub in ride probly one of my favorites to play
That whole "scour you for 6 hours til outage of power outlets" was so nasty. Torture you in the tub with power tools until the power goes out lol. And "drown you with piles of downers around you" making it look like a suicide or accidental death from taking downers and passing out. His mind is so fuckin dope
no lmfao just because he used the same name means nothing at all, he didn't even mention her having a baby, a placenta is just part of the reproductive organs, it doesn't mean a baby
This album is just brilliant. For me it's kinda like a movie. Not everyone likes horror flicks but that doesn't mean they're bad. ppl gotta get over the mindset that there are only certain acceptable topics in HipHop. From the opening skit (Dr West) to the last song Em is bringing us through his addiction experience. It's no surprise that fans and critics alike are revisiting this project and re-rating it. Thanks for being openminded
This is probably my favorite EM song along with "Same Song and Dance". Easily his best rhyme schemes came from Relapse and his storytelling is unbelievable.
@@GhostWatcher2024 I’ve heard this song 100s of times and I didn’t catch it until a week or two ago. What’s funny is that none of the reactors caught it either. Knowing it now makes that song hit that much harder.

That whole 2nd verse to me is the piece that truly connects to the song title. The chorus is like him ominously telling the woman he's creeping up on that she better stay awake or he'll get her.
well like cliff said, you can very easily tell that Em isn't confident in himself or his delivery throughout pretty much all of relapse, maybe excluding Beautiful but I'd rather hear him actually have confidence in what he's saying
Definitely should've checked out the rhymes highlighted video for this. Verse 2 is an insane display of holding an extremely complex rhyme pattern for an entire verse
Dude is just a genius. We have witnessed a genius at work. Subject matter is… not for some but look at the complexity and story telling just blows my mind. Dude was bored and made accents to play with word play 🐐
One of my favorite Eminem tracks, the entire second verse if you look at the color coded lyrics is insane, literally feels an entire page rhyming every single sentence, thank you for this one!
Em is straight up genius when it comes to his storytelling & imagery. He could easily write a horror movie script or graphic novels. This album is very dark, but his rapping is almost like the cherry on top of the imagery sundae. It's so vivid & horrifying in your mind. 3 AM & Insane are crazy dark tracks too!
He wanted to draw comics at a young age, let's not forget you need to know how to tell a story as well, I love his story telling, "as the world turns" is a favorite
It's official. I no longer see all notifications for your channel cause I wouldn't have waited 13 days to watch this. And I'm happy I scrolled through my RUclips feed, otherwise I would have missed it... ugh. Lol. Been excited for you to do this one 🤣
really like your point of he was missing the conviction with confliction of his infliction. but that first verse gets me when the guitar steps up to match the intensity of the situation hes created.
The fact you do this is enough for me, you see it you feel it you understand it is the shit. We need to appreciate this man before he's done. He at least, deserves that much. Loved this 👍👍
I dont care what anyone thinks. This is his best song. The flow, the beat, the atmosphere, the lyrics (I'm a metallhead so i'm used to worse), the story, everything is just 10/10
There is something about this song and the entirety of the Relapse album I just enjoy reactions to. Stay wide a wake is my favorite song reactors react to. The whole album is a serial killer/ horror theme. The songs were made inbetween when Eminem was on drugs and going through rehab and flushing the drugs out. A time where em had to relearn to rap.
well like cliff said, you can very easily tell that Em isn't confident in himself or his delivery throughout pretty much all of relapse, maybe excluding Beautiful but I'd rather hear him actually have confidence in what he's saying
Finally!!! Thank you for this one Cliff! A dope reaction, loved it. I love the 2nd verse, it's epic. Also, the beat being in the rhythm of a heartbeat. Cadences, Flow, multi syllables, storytelling and a few bars/doubles. It has it all. Also, it was killshot "my biggest flops are your greatest hits"
Love this song! Been waiting for you to get to it. This showcases his mastery of flows. Sticking to these rhyme schemes for the number of bars is amazing. I also think this is what you get when he doesn't have a specific target for his diss tracks. I think he didn't have a specific beef at this time and being recently clean was still processing his own actions being problematic for himself.
Em’s version of HORRORCORE. Relapsing on drugs is dark. The demon has you. Blood lust is another addiction. And he paints a clear picture of a serial rapist/murderer

11:50 about the conviction part. Maybe I'm looking too deep into it, but it's a song about a serial killer and really most of the album is horror/killer based hence the accents he was doing. So maybe the lack of conviction is to try and insinuate it's just another day for him. He does this shit on the daily and he's become numb to it. To kind of really lean into that psychopath mindset. Also, something I just learned today is that bassline is emulating a heartbeat which I somehow never noticed before. Relapse is still one of my favorite albums from Em
