May I give you a bit of advice? I had an antique booth for 20 years. If you are going to open one dont expect large profits unless the antique mall has a huge amount of traffic. I never made more than a few hundred a month until I added jewelry, then it was about $600 a month. In my opinion only the mall owner makes the real money. BUT it is a lot of Fun and work but Fun too. If you like being creative and designing it is a good outlet. It is Fun finding cool stuff to stock your store. so if you go into it for fun you should enjoy it.
I totally agree!
Love it all, especially the camel. ❤❤❤
Hi there. I think the store over here gets a good amount of traffic. But it is definitely not replacing my online sales platforms!
Ditto. You have to do it because you love it. It's probably not going to make you wealthy.
I am pretty sure Sherman is a prized Canadian maker. You may want to check for your May angels. Could be sellable. Love watching all your videos. So full of information. And you are so delightful.
Thank you for this!
I can verify that it was made in Montreal, Quebec and they made everything with Austrian Crystal there are a lot of statment peices they sold sets and they are very hard to find now, they were hard to find back in the 90's when I was reselling at shows and markets I made fortune from Sherman even back then it sold for high prices.
Its gorgeous.
I believe the adjustable ring is Sara Coventry, I have one like it, I recently discovered I have a Sara Coventy Hostess / Dealer collection, I have a display box and several of the rings that the hostess would have sold I am fairly certain that the ring you have is almost an exact match to mine.
The rings are not marked but I have several I was told hostess gifts that are rare and the necklaces and heave chains all have hang tags or the pendants are signed, they are 1970's the rings I believe are same era too.
Thank you! The vintage adjustable rings always do well for me!
I agree with Biancatravels, that unusual brrooch is probably Scotish, I remember something about the women wearing a strip of their clan colors on their blouse hooked with a small brooch like that. The bigger brooches held the clan scarf in place or the kilt stuff. Kilts are THE thing for men in the PNW....keep teasing my sweet hubby that is going to be his Christmas present!!!
Haha. Yes I DID figure that out when listing. This is the only one with a tassel that I could find!
I can't get over the gold dipped kale! I bet it would sell :) The cameo in the beginning you can tell is resin by the back of it, you can tell it was poured with the tiny bubbles/pits. I love Anne Koplik, shes still in business and makes lovely austrian crystal jewelry. Also in love with the pink glass enamel broken brooch! Yes save it for sure!
I really love that Anne Koplik as well. Thank Hannah!
44:25 totally looks like a penannular brooch which is a type of celtic fastener.
Yes it is!
Rachelle I really appreciate your teaching methods on jewelry. I've always loved it but didn't know enough. I sold off inherited costume jewelry on ebay and only now realize what a huge mistake it was given all I've learned from your videos. Thanks for all the great content.
Thank you so much!
Try untangling your chains with two safety pins, too thin sewing needles, or one needle and a pair of eyebrow tweezers.
Thanks for the tip!
Loved the floral spray brooch that you might make into a pendant! Also, wow to all the cinnabar!
I know! So lovely@
Awesome cinnabar! Congrats on your finds!
Thank yoj!
aw, thanks for the shoutout! I think one of my enamel pins is really similar to the one you have...you got some great things in that jar! Wish we had nice jars like that around here!
You're welcome! I do think it is very similar
You had some great fines in the jewelry jar. I especially like that necklace that had all the makers marks on it. Have fun decorating with your Cinnabar camel until you get the urge to sell him. Thanks for sharing.
Yes thank you!!
Ponytail girl cameo is newer and most likely resin.
Yes I agree!
I wanted to see the shell and heishe bead necklace. lol Looked kind of neat! Why craft? Love all the cinnabar. ❤
I put it aside for you! Haha. I just come across it often
I noticed the ring on your finger right away. It's definitely a statement ring.
I have worn it 2 weeks now! Bright abalone!
I love the background music ❤
Do you sell your craft lots? If so, how could I see and possibly buy some?
I think they are called 'coin pearls'
Yes thank you!
Thanks for informative video.
You're welcome 😊
That black bracelet with the elephant brings back memories of living in Zimbabwe..they were made out of elephant tail hair with an ivory elephant!!!!
That is probably what that is!
I lived in Zimbabwe just for three months, loved the people and yes, I had that elephant hair type too.
In a ring, not ivory
Hello! There are numerous marks on your small pin, with roses inside.😮
Could you time stamp which one you are talking about?
I'm the same way with the tangled jewelry...
Love it!
Those butterflies for the Fairycore girls.
So true!
OMG, that camel!😮
I know right!?
😍
❤ all your cinnabar
Yes yes yes! ❤️
how do you get a jewelry jar?
I usually buy jewelry jars at antique stores
@@RachelakalilyworksThank you
Because of the saw like marks on the bottom of the camels feet I would question it being authentic cinnabar.
Which saw marks are you referring to? It just looks like a black lacquer to me.
