My friend is going to help me too. I have several spots on our place where different varieties pop up. I love to photograph them... you'd think I would know more than turkey tails at this point in my life. Okay well, I do know the red and white ones cannot be eaten, but they sure do make for a pretty picture!

@@PandJsHomesteadAdventure we have to go south for turkeys and don’t have the time and the price of gas won’t be worth it. We just need to get set up on the new property so we can raise our own. We have a few meat birds coming this week and more outlaw egg layers.

What is the purpose of "rolling" after mowing? Helps the ground? We have wild turkeys too. Love the wildlife!

The ground gets bumpy from moles, etc, Jason likes to roll in the beginning of spring. Much more comfortable on the lawn mower than having bumps while mowing. Especially if we are going fast LOL

Good job educating us. Do you get the pileated woodpecker often we only get them once in a blue moon

Hi! TY so much! Yes we have three pairs living in the yard! Maybe more but we always see the six of them. Now with the leaves coming back on the trees it will be harder to see them. We hear them knocking! LOL

Hi Lisa. We find Morels usually in the spring, off and on for a month here in NY State. In the fall we find a bunch more. Morels are one of our favorites. TY for stopping by!
