Welcome to our channel! Hi everyone! We're P&J! We live in NY State, on a beautiful 25 acres. We love the outdoors, and we have many projects on the to do list! During harvest time we are prepping and storing away one year's worth of food. Join us as we share some garden tips and our favorite recipes with all of you. Come along with us as we forage for wild edible mushrooms. Wildlife always surprises us on nature walks thru our woods, and at our birdfeeders.

As the crisp autumn air settles over New York State, the vibrant colors of fall paint the landscape in shades of orange, red, and gold. In the early mornings, we harvest the season's bounty from the garden. We pick ripe tomatoes, crisp peppers, and fragrant herbs, and more. The satisfaction of harvesting and prepping fresh food for later is a reminder of the hard work put into nurturing the garden throughout the summer.
With the weekend upon us we our focus shifts to a new project: helping friends move a solar fridge to a nearby island. The team works together, loading the frid...

Not sure if my vines will get brown before our hard Michigan frost. Can I still cut and expect a good harvest? They are large.
@@JulianeMcdavid Hi Juliane! If your squash, or pumpkin is fully ripe and has changed color, and frost is upon you, yes you can cut it. If it's not ripe yet, I would cut it and bring it in your house. Store it in a warm sunny room with good air circulation to allow it to change color and ripen.
