I don't even remember that Joel McHale was on this show!. Seeing him here in the skit was sort of surprising. I also love how I have no idea what any of the local/inside jokes in this show meant but my brother and I still watched this show religiously when we were kids. It's still sorta cool to me that Seattle had its own local sketch comedy show and that it was one of the very first shows on Comedy Central when it first came out, way back before they had any of their own original shows. It was just like Kids in the Hall, Almost Live, Monty Python, etc.
I remember when we changed to new area codes, we were all 206 ares code, at least Seattle area up to the Canadian Border, it was so hard getting used to 360, and having to dial it before every phone number. It’s not true that all 360 calls were local, Everett and lots of other 360 calls were long distance calls from our landline in the San Juan’s. I remember getting so excited about getting a cellphone and all calls were local, prior to that, I was excited to get the $20 per month for 60 minutes of long distance anywhere in the United States, hahaha, that didn’t last too long.
3:24 Did Joel get hair implants later? He's got a very clear receding hairline here. Edit: Just answered my own question. Yes, he had multiple hair transplant surgeries and is open about it. Neat.

When the world's first 99 Cents Store opened in Seattle, they joked that...... "The store used to be open in Bothell, but they were sick of everyone's asking `how much does this cost?`"
I remember when they added the area codes it was a big hub ub just like this. I have a 206 area code and I still won’t give it up and I don’t live in the state.
