Nate is the voices, the darkness, the trauma, the burdens, the pain. NF has shown us all that it's no longer about Nate it's no longer about his past, it's his future now were pushing into his future. The shadow is Nate, in Intro ||| we get a glimpse at the battle between the two of them and here we see it visually. If you notice Hope fell from the attic, pushed through the floor/ceiling by Nate meaning the ever elusive reference of the attic or 'upstairs' is where Hope resided. The confusion displayed in Hope's body language shows that this is unfamiliar territory for NF, the mansion obviously being his mind. If you think back to CLOUDS there was a glimpse of positivity laced into every song, a healthier NF and this 4th album (considering CLOUDS a mixtape) is to be the introduction of Hope the love of his wife and son and the death of Nate.

It is just a new Nate, a positive thinking Nate. That is what lead me to believe it is his negative emotions that he said in the past are always there, always liars and always violent. @jattack9972 Год назад +6

@@tonybablony2041 Actually he is a Christian artist, his music reflects his life as well as his problems and his faith. He's honestly a real Christian artist more than secular because he talks about his personal issues that he's fighting daily like trying to forgive his mother or depression in his mind or trying to find hope when you feel hopeless. He's literally explaining the walk he has as a Christian because no man is perfect nor is the walk of a Christian perfect. He wears white because it represents hope and purity, from his old clothes which were dark, depressed, and despair. Which is what most Christians come from a deep dark depressing life and God leads them to a new hope. Nate is on his way to new hope, learning to forgive, walk away from his burdens and problems and not letting his mind aka the devil speak to him hold him hostage (aka perception album) when God has given him the keys already to be free. He uses metaphor and figurative speech to describe his walk. He's literally a genius and that's the works of God. He's not a biblical artist I would say like singing hymns and what not but a Christian indeed. God has brought him to a new place where he has been made new and is set free and isn't gonna let his dark side which is the devil take hold anymore. God bless 🙏🏽

@@jattack9972 I think they were pointing out that Nate has said himself that he doesn't consider himself a Christian rapper (3:51 at ruclips.net/video/hF_4o8hgyK4/видео.html)--he's a rapper who is Christian. I feel like he's said it in other places too, but that's the only place I could quickly find/remember. I think he considers it kind of like how you wouldn't call a plumber who is Christian a Christian plumber. Because he's speaking his truth and his faith is a part of that truth it does, of course, poke out and you can find the Christian ideals and, sometimes, references. But Christianity as a religion isn't the focus of his music and he doesn't want to be known as that. I don't think the person above you was denying that NF is a Christian, just that his niche isn't "Christian Rapper." You know? Have a good day!

I may be wrong, but this is my introduction to NF. I never heard of him until this song was suggested. Idk he's previous videos. when he fell and landed in the mansion right after all the positive and hopeful lyrics, it made me think of how the mind works. You may be striving for change and positivity, and your mind that can't be fully controlled takes over and reminds you of a dark memory or past. Even though you have moved on, it will forever linger and remind you of how far you have come. That's the reason he was able to close the door quite quickly, but he still took the time to resonate and walk in and left right after. He overcame it, and it's time to take everything he went through and make a change. This artist really made an impact with his mv and lyrics.

One thing that I think is getting overlooked is the subtle metaphor around where Hope is at the start of the music video in contrast to the end. He starts off at sea level, unable to go any lower without drowning, and after all the misdirections from Fear and reminiscing on his life inside of the Mansion, he ends up at the peak of a mountain. Could be a reference to LOST where NF says "when I let Joy in, I'm in higher spirits", but nonetheless it's symbolic of Hope rising Nate up from rock-bottom.
