@@michaelpeters5483 which is bs btw, he’s not a Christian rapper, his claim is being an amazing rapper. It’s like giving Tupac an award for “speaking” it’s like, I guess but what he is really is an incredible artist.
@@tonybablony2041 Actually he is a Christian artist, his music reflects his life as well as his problems and his faith. He's honestly a real Christian artist more than secular because he talks about his personal issues that he's fighting daily like trying to forgive his mother or depression in his mind or trying to find hope when you feel hopeless. He's literally explaining the walk he has as a Christian because no man is perfect nor is the walk of a Christian perfect. He wears white because it represents hope and purity, from his old clothes which were dark, depressed, and despair. Which is what most Christians come from a deep dark depressing life and God leads them to a new hope. Nate is on his way to new hope, learning to forgive, walk away from his burdens and problems and not letting his mind aka the devil speak to him hold him hostage (aka perception album) when God has given him the keys already to be free. He uses metaphor and figurative speech to describe his walk. He's literally a genius and that's the works of God. He's not a biblical artist I would say like singing hymns and what not but a Christian indeed. God has brought him to a new place where he has been made new and is set free and isn't gonna let his dark side which is the devil take hold anymore. God bless 🙏🏽
@@jattack9972 I think they were pointing out that Nate has said himself that he doesn't consider himself a Christian rapper (3:51 at ruclips.net/video/hF_4o8hgyK4/видео.html)--he's a rapper who is Christian. I feel like he's said it in other places too, but that's the only place I could quickly find/remember. I think he considers it kind of like how you wouldn't call a plumber who is Christian a Christian plumber. Because he's speaking his truth and his faith is a part of that truth it does, of course, poke out and you can find the Christian ideals and, sometimes, references. But Christianity as a religion isn't the focus of his music and he doesn't want to be known as that. I don't think the person above you was denying that NF is a Christian, just that his niche isn't "Christian Rapper." You know? Have a good day!
Knox I KNEW you would get this song more than the other reactors. The second he started talking at the beginning I felt like it was hope’s personification taking over. You immediately picked up on that. I’ve been watching reaction videos all morning and nobody else so far has picked up on that. I knew you would be the one to get it dude. Couldn’t wait for this reaction.
The "what's your definition of success" line is carried over from his song "Why" in which he states "I don't trust this thing that beats inside my chest". He now answers that same question by stating his definition of success is listening to what his heart says.
THIS is artistry. THIS is the type of intricate, creative, thoughtful, cinematic, experience that represents what true artistry is. He is a very rare breed these days. I love NF, one of the very very few rap/hip hop artists I truly enjoy. Honestly, he is in his own lane. Like Dave matthews band is. Like Tool is.
NF creating this song is a great reminder that no matter what it is you might be going through, there will always be light at the end of the tunnel. Even if it takes years and years of battling to finally find that light, getting to feel a hopeful feeling will be worth it in the end. Don't let the bad times take you over and end your path of greatness. It'll all be better in the end.
I may be wrong, but this is my introduction to NF. I never heard of him until this song was suggested. Idk he's previous videos. when he fell and landed in the mansion right after all the positive and hopeful lyrics, it made me think of how the mind works. You may be striving for change and positivity, and your mind that can't be fully controlled takes over and reminds you of a dark memory or past. Even though you have moved on, it will forever linger and remind you of how far you have come. That's the reason he was able to close the door quite quickly, but he still took the time to resonate and walk in and left right after. He overcame it, and it's time to take everything he went through and make a change. This artist really made an impact with his mv and lyrics.
if youre insterested on checking out his other albums and music videos you will realize that there is an unreal amount of references through lyrics to scenery. It all connects like his whole music is one movie about his thoughts and struggles. No other rapper gived me shivers down my spine. Truely recommend catching references by yourself, after other songs and rewatching this you will be amazed what he did and how it turned out even better than first time hearing
@Frodo thanks. I will definitely be checking his discography. Already watching the mv blindly without knowing anything about him was captivating, so I can only imagine knowing the come up of artistry. His OG fans must be in awe with his new outlook on life and new album of course
as someone who discovered NF really late, i was upset that I never got to grow and be excited as new albums and such came out. but i'm so excited and i feel like Nate is growing stronger and that we will grow with him and this album. Can't frickin wait for this.
I discovered Nate around the time Search dropped but I gotta say this feels so much more in the sense of everyone's growth and healing. Nates journey has been such a beautiful journey
He literally grows with his music and his music grows as he grows and changes. It is an absolute privilege, being able to sit into his Therapy session and see the whole process, his whole life, how his mentality that’s being ever changing guides him in the path of true art.
I love how “Reins” also ties into “Lost” from Clouds the mixtape… I'd love to pack arenas and all But what I really wanna do is learn to handle my thoughts And put the reins on 'em, show 'em I'm the one that's the boss And pull 'em back when they get out of hand, I'm breakin' they jaws I'm takin' the flaws that told me I could never evolve Then pull a Bane on 'em, ask 'em, "Oh, you think you're in charge?

Anyone else just rewatching the ending? Like holy crap was that hype. The black is coming off, he wants to change. Those demons are leaving, for the first time in thirty years. What a freaking video y’all. 4:15 in the music video is where it starts. Amazing work by NF
Listening to NF is like going through a movie or a book. There is a storyline and with each music video, album or single we get, the story moves on. I've been listening to NF for years and this album will be great I can already tell. What a video and what a song.
Man, as a composer myself, I can’t get over his production when he drops something new! The cinematic strings and simple piano melodies are just too unique 🎶
This song always gives me goosebumps. We’ve been on this emotional rollercoaster with him so it made us proud of him. Love the background music and the scenery and the meanings. Just love it.
I've been sobbing harder than any song I've heard lately. We've ALLLLLLL been waiting for this song. We didn't know, but we DID. WE ALL NEEDED THIS SONG, and those of us who took the journey.... We're ready and have been.... Hoping
This is the greatest opening track for an album ever. This Intro track is amazing and the Video is out of this 🌎. I hope when NF drops this album in April that it shoots straight to #1 Billboard and sits there because he deserves it and so do all of the fans. NF dropping real music when you need it the most!!!
This was Insane, Am literally crying Nate, So many memories, so much emotions attached to this, We watched him when he was going thru all these fears and traumas and watching him come over all of them literally give us a HOPE that we can overcome our fears and traumas too🥺🖤
Most of the time when you follow an artist for a long period you can see and hear their development as an artist. This is true for NF, but I think the really special and unique thing is that we also see his development as a person
Ugh, that ending was so powerful, it was like a cinematic experience! I have listened to Nate's music for years and I got emotional seeing the callbacks to his past videos. Loved this so much
I also love how is last album he mentioned that he felt lost. But now in this song/video he has a map. Meaning he’s not lost anymore he has a way to move forward.
I seriously watched over 12 different reaction videos to NFs new song and this is by far the best. Thanks Knox Hill!! Can’t wait to see you take on his new album in April
Man.. it's hard to not consider NF one of the best ever.. he's way up there at least. The way he ties his entire catalog together is absolutely insane. He's been telling a story since the first album. Also no swearing, meaningful lyrics from the start of his career. He's something special.
This was the best reaction. my dude caught EVERYTHING and broke it down from the lyrics, the change in the beat and symphony and scenery and from him talking to the black version of NF (Nate) he literally caught everything. He knows his shit. Props brotha 🫡🙌🏽
You are by far my favorite person to break down NF music because you just get it and you've been following him since the beginning. I had chills throughout this
I always have to seek out your reactions when NF releases a new song, love the way you break the songs down step by step. Can't wait for the album to drop.
I love the line “Mama I forgive you” because back in his song “How Could You Leave Us” he says “I ain’t gonna say that I forgive you ’cause it hasn’t happened”
I remember when I heard Paralyzed for the first time in a random playlist and that was when I was also in my lowest. And now as my life gets better, NF is back with Hope, this feels really great.
I feel the old Nate is trying to express his fear of this hope that he embraces now. At the end scene when old nate emerge with the black collar and face over his mouth, the three first words he shows up spells "Hey, Nate, Wait". Like he is trying to stall that hope is taking over, then they start to argue. This is sooo good.
I find it interesting that in “The Search” Nate says “i’m looking for the map to HOPE you seen it?” sort of foreshadowing this song as he now has the map in the song called HOPE
You’re my favorite reactor because you pick up on everything and even help me see things I didn’t pick up at first. Can’t wait to see you react to the whole album when it releases! Great reaction Knox!
One thing I love about NF's music videos is that all of them have a strange dreamlike settings, as a sort of way of saying these songs are a direct way into a visualized version of Nate's inner battle and struggle. The songs are individual moments Nate is thinking about at that time. It's perfect.
NF - WHY : “What’s your definition of success, I don’t trust this thing that beats inside my chest” NF - HOPE : “what’s your defintion of success, listening to what your heart says"
You killed this reaction. I never have doubt on getting raw breakdowns of a song. So hype that NF is back! Can't wait to hear more NF and hear more reactions from you! Keep up the grind!
Your reaction videos are my favorite, by far. You catch all the minute details, metaphors and symbolism in NFs songs/music videos! It shows the appreciation you have for Nate by keeping up with the full journey. Not to mention the appreciation you express for the various cadences he uses in his songs. I love that you are fully caught up and understand all the previous album references and what they all mean. Much love, Knox!!
Another Michigan rapper killing it. This kid is from a small farming community that has only 3000 people in it. That alone is staggering to me because it’s such an unbelievable thing for anyone to make it, especially when you graduate with a class of 50. Great breakdown of NF as always. Knoxhill …. I never get tired of seeing you and I can barely keep up! I’m proud of you and I love that you’re now making music and breakdowns… doing what you love other than soccer for a living. You’re a great guy and have always been real. The love is sincere and you deserve to have everything you worked hard for.

This has already become one of my favorite NF songs by far. I am beyond excited for this album. I already purchased a signed CD that was advertised on his Spotify page and I cannot wait.
Tommy Profit is an awesome producer, and I’m glad NF signed on with him all those years ago so he could bring NF’s vision to life. The cinematography is simply beautiful. Love you Knox, love you Nate 💯
From 4:30, you can notice that the new Nate doesn't wear makeup whereas the moments where the old Nate pops up, he is wearing the makeup... Amazing. Just amazing
Hope is incredibly! The ending to this song is just something else, cant get enough! Love the way you fully break down and analysis he songs. MUCH better than almost all other rap reacts i see on youtube.
To look back at how Nate always felt trapped inside a cage, to then finally escaping but carrying his baggage with him everywhere, until now us seeing him let everything go and let hope breakthrough is truly a developmental masterpiece
One thing that I think is getting overlooked is the subtle metaphor around where Hope is at the start of the music video in contrast to the end. He starts off at sea level, unable to go any lower without drowning, and after all the misdirections from Fear and reminiscing on his life inside of the Mansion, he ends up at the peak of a mountain. Could be a reference to LOST where NF says "when I let Joy in, I'm in higher spirits", but nonetheless it's symbolic of Hope rising Nate up from rock-bottom.
I love tuning into the school of Knox. I am so glad you are here doing what you do. As someone who didn't like rap until a few years ago, I've gained so much appreciation for it that I never had before. Finding artists like NF and Hopsin totally changed my view on what rap was. Your knowledge is so impressive and thank you so much for sharing it with us!
I love your reaction and intelligence on this and your prospective helps others to understand what he is saying and understand that Nate has finally found hope after all these years if darkness, this is so powerful and had loads of meaning and heart that people can relate to this soo much!!
He continues to evolve! I love the callbacks to his previous songs. Can’t wait for the album April 7th!
Really April?
@@matkoweee yep
@@alessio197 wait where did he say that?

THIS is artistry. THIS is the type of intricate, creative, thoughtful, cinematic, experience that represents what true artistry is. He is a very rare breed these days. I love NF, one of the very very few rap/hip hop artists I truly enjoy. Honestly, he is in his own lane. Like Dave matthews band is. Like Tool is.
He truly has his own genre and I love it👏
NF creating this song is a great reminder that no matter what it is you might be going through, there will always be light at the end of the tunnel. Even if it takes years and years of battling to finally find that light, getting to feel a hopeful feeling will be worth it in the end. Don't let the bad times take you over and end your path of greatness. It'll all be better in the end.
Amen 🙋🏻♀️🙏🏽🥰
@@adork2dacore that's for sure! Enjoy your ride ^^
as someone who discovered NF really late, i was upset that I never got to grow and be excited as new albums and such came out. but i'm so excited and i feel like Nate is growing stronger and that we will grow with him and this album. Can't frickin wait for this.
I discovered Nate around the time Search dropped but I gotta say this feels so much more in the sense of everyone's growth and healing. Nates journey has been such a beautiful journey
Holy shit, that ending “30 years of….” Literally, I stood frozen… chills and goosebumps… just amazing!!
He literally grows with his music and his music grows as he grows and changes. It is an absolute privilege, being able to sit into his Therapy session and see the whole process, his whole life, how his mentality that’s being ever changing guides him in the path of true art.
I love how “Reins” also ties into “Lost” from Clouds the mixtape…
I'd love to pack arenas and all
But what I really wanna do is learn to handle my thoughts
And put the reins on 'em, show 'em I'm the one that's the boss
And pull 'em back when they get out of hand, I'm breakin' they jaws
I'm takin' the flaws that told me I could never evolve
Then pull a Bane on 'em, ask 'em, "Oh, you think you're in charge?
I always appreciate reactions from people who truly understand and appreciate what the artist is trying to push out there. Can truly tell you're a fan of NF. Not only from pointing out all the little references in the video but also from reading into his lyrics. This was a great watch. Thank you.

This was amazing! This man is a master at storytelling and connecting. He found his map to "Hope" and the doors were all references to older songs! This is pure art. He finally is in white with no balloons. In a better place after working so hard to get there. What an inspiration. My favorite artist for sure! Excited for the new album!
I love how he kicks away the ballons right before he closes that door like nah, i'm done with that, so hyped for this album !
Anyone else just rewatching the ending? Like holy crap was that hype. The black is coming off, he wants to change. Those demons are leaving, for the first time in thirty years. What a freaking video y’all. 4:15 in the music video is where it starts. Amazing work by NF
I thought it was more that hes beaten his demons but they still come back sometimes, cuz u can see the black spreading around his neck
@@Odd1006 True too
Listening to NF is like going through a movie or a book.
Tommee Profitt is an amazing producer.
This song always gives me goosebumps. We’ve been on this emotional rollercoaster with him so it made us proud of him. Love the background music and the scenery and the meanings. Just love it.
When he said he finally forgives his mom shows how much he's grown and how having a child has helped him do so
I've been sobbing harder than any song I've heard lately. We've ALLLLLLL been waiting for this song. We didn't know, but we DID. WE ALL NEEDED THIS SONG, and those of us who took the journey.... We're ready and have been.... Hoping
I knew the spamming would work lmao
Can we talk about how he finally forgave his mom. Referencing back to "how could you leave us". Him being a parent may have changed his perspective.
@@elivasquez5976 in a interview he said that’s one of the song he regrets and as he gotten older he wish he can change it
Similar to Em with cleaning out my closet.
Your break downs are underrated Knox. Appreciate what you do.
Thank you 🙏
He is finally wearing white 💜💜🔥🔥
And holding the map of Hope!! He is dropping gems 👌👌
Man, all that comes to me is this is a comprehensive analysis, ranging from musical styles to word flows, to Nate’s spiritual journey. Great job!!
The metaphorical meanings in HOPE r insane, one of the main reasons I love his music
This is the greatest opening track for an album ever. This Intro track is amazing and the Video is out of this 🌎. I hope when NF drops this album in April that it shoots straight to #1 Billboard and sits there because he deserves it and so do all of the fans. NF dropping real music when you need it the most!!!
This was Insane, Am literally crying Nate, So many memories, so much emotions attached to this, We watched him when he was going thru all these fears and traumas and watching him come over all of them literally give us a HOPE that we can overcome our fears and traumas too🥺🖤
So much symbolism in this song and I appreciate you being one of the only people to recognize the “old Nate” coming out Venom style
This song is insane so excited for the new album!!! 🔥🔥🔥
This song makes me tear up and quiver, knowing all too well the pain that comes with a cruel voice within. Im glad hes found his way through....
Loved this so much
Damn, you got this reaction out hella fast. looking forward to this new era of Nf. I love your reactions, especially of Nf.
I also love how is last album he mentioned that he felt lost. But now in this song/video he has a map. Meaning he’s not lost anymore he has a way to move forward.
Well, in _The Search_ he specifically says he was "lookin' for the map to hope." Pretty cool callback in a song of cool callbacks!
“What’s your definition of success?” Is also a callback to WHY.
I seriously watched over 12 different reaction videos to NFs new song and this is by far the best. Thanks Knox Hill!! Can’t wait to see you take on his new album in April
Let's go! Easily one of my favorite songs from him yet. The lyrics, the production, everything about it was amazing.
Man.. it's hard to not consider NF one of the best ever.. he's way up there at least.
Nate is the Hans Zimmer of rap. This was absolute genius and was such an emotional journey. Cannot wait for the album!
Absolutely hans like score maker but including some awesome rap lyrics
He dropped this literally an hour when I needed NF the most! Amazing reaction as always!
THIS TRACK IS INCREDIBLE
Couldn't agree more
@@KnoxHill Hi Knox!
Great reaction Knox! Much love. NF is a genius and this is a masterpiece.
No words to describe how good you are at this Knox. It shows how much you pay attention and know music
One thing I love about NF's music videos is that all of them have a strange dreamlike settings, as a sort of way of saying these songs are a direct way into a visualized version of Nate's inner battle and struggle. The songs are individual moments Nate is thinking about at that time. It's perfect.
I am mindblown by this song and music video. Absolutely speechless it’s top tier
NF - WHY : “What’s your definition of success, I don’t trust this thing that beats inside my chest”
NF - HOPE : “what’s your defintion of success, listening to what your heart says"
You killed this reaction. I never have doubt on getting raw breakdowns of a song. So hype that NF is back! Can't wait to hear more NF and hear more reactions from you! Keep up the grind!
I love to see people , who really get his message , every little detail and appreciate his work and art
What a real, authentic outstanding reaction you put out there,, Hats off and Salute Knox Hill ✨
Not a black balloon in sight! He's come so far on this journey to hope, can't wait to see what else is in store.
This music videos game me goosebumps - He is back, and he is not playing games. I could watch the end of this video on repeat for hours. It's just so good
I am SO exciting for this new album, and to see his growth/evolution
He just gets better and better each time! I love how he is evolving.
This has already become one of my favorite NF songs by far. I am beyond excited for this album. I already purchased a signed CD that was advertised on his Spotify page and I cannot wait.
I love the energy he has in this song, and how is truly changing, for the better.
This song 2 hours out is giving me hope to overcome my problems. He gaves inspiration to everyone who has suffer. Such an amazing artist
Tommy Profit is an awesome producer, and I’m glad NF signed on with him all those years ago so he could bring NF’s vision to life. The cinematography is simply beautiful.
Love you Knox, love you Nate 💯
This was a fantastic reaction!! Can't wait to see you react to the whole album when it drops!
I just love that your able to literally catch every single aspect of this video. Makes me happy to see.
This song came out less than an hour ago and somehow, ive listened to it 100 times already.
So do I
this is why he will always be the goat of depth because he puts his soul into his music
This is a great week for music! Nf and Hopsin came through to save music!
In “The Search” NF literally says “I’m looking for the map to hope”. Looks like he found it.
I love your reaction and intelligence on this and your prospective helps others to understand what he is saying and understand that Nate has finally found hope after all these years if darkness, this is so powerful and had loads of meaning and heart that people can relate to this soo much!! What an awesome authentic reaction, much love knox hill bro ❤👊🏻
Ocean and the raft is a throwback to DRIFTING!
Hands down, you do the best NF reactions. You know the history. You understand the music. Thanks for your breakdown.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS SONG!! NF is my favorite artist even though I only discovered him last year. And this song was absolutely amazing, I loved everything about it and the music video too was top knotch. Idk if it's a top 10 song but if it's not, it's pretty close.
I found NF from let you down and went back to look at his previous songs and also continued to follow his journey with his music after that he is easily in my top 3 artist for me and the fact he talks about stuff that affects so many people and brings it to the forefront while it is more for him no one can deny it has helped so many people deal with the things they are or have been going through
There's so much to it! It's so good! The tie-ins to the other songs and videos! And as always, top quality breakdown!
He's not just a musician, he's an artist with immaculate art.
