Can't belive how ignorant people are in this comment section, If a dog has the bad habit of pulling a prong collar is way safer than using a flat one (which may cause him to choke to death or faint)
i cant believe people are starting to use this thing!!!???? imagine having a cold metal chain collar with studs that pinch your skin as training! dogs pull on the leash because they are young are want to explore this new enviroment, but people ruin it by putting a prong collar on the dog, forcing it to walk normally and ignore new sights and smells, and even if the dog pulls he/she gets pinched by the prong collar, wow
A dog pulling on a flat collar can cause more damage to the trachea because it's force is concentrated on the dog's trachea. A prong collar on the other hand distributes that force evenly along the neck to avoid damaging their fragile thoats. If used correctly and humanely, a prong collar should be much safer than using a flat collar with a dog that pulls. Never yank super hard on a prong or standard flat collar, that is abuse. this is a training tool so in time you shouldn't have to use it anymore once the dog learns to walk at heel. The dog should also be getting positive reinforcement for being good and walking at heel. This tool should not be used as some sort of torture or punishment for pulling.
Imagine your 2 year old dog, that likes to run off when she goes outside to use the bathroom, gets hit by a car....Some dogs just require a chain like this. She if fine walking around outside doing her business than she comes back in and we take it off. The only cruelty in this is if it was left on for hours at a time, making it uncomfortable for them to lay down.
Horse I’ve put this around my neck and pulled as hard as possible. My dog isn’t young, he’s 8 and had a pulling problem when other dogs were close. A prong fixed it in just a few minutes.
Naturally you try other merhods before resorting to a prong collar. However if nothing is working a prong collar is almost guaranteed to work. Its not cruel. You can still let your dog explore. This is just an option for dogs who like to run off and pull so extremely on regular collars that it could possibly collapse their trachea. Its only cruel if left on your animal. That is abuse. Only because skin can grow around it and it can rub on the skin if left on all day. Especially a wet dog. Which would cause sores. But just like other training tools ita fine if uses properly
Horse my dogs 9 and she still pulls I’ve tried harnesses, gentle leaders, front ring harness, and even tried training her this is the best option for me ;)

This doesn't work at all I've tried 3 different videos on RUclips and none of them. I don't believe you just squeeze and pull that's not what's happening this is not possible. Besides that you can't even see what you're doing because your hands are in the way
Its only cruel if left on an animal as then it can cause tons of medical issues. But if used properly its safee than a regular collar on a pulling dog. Dont be confused because it "looks" cruel.
I have a better use for prong collars. Hang it on a wall and hang your coat, keys, bag and if your visially impaired long cane on it. Never put this collar on a dog.
Its a lot less invasive compare to a shock collar or shock fence. Its also only used as a training tool. Not a permanent solution. Some dogs do not reciprocate to positive reinforcement training. If a dog doesnt and continues to pull on a regular nylon collar or leather collar they can collapse their tracheas. This is a method that discourages dogs from pulling for that very reason. It looks terrifying but its really not as bad as you would assume. The pinching is a gentle pressure. A mother dog grasping her puppies neck would apply more pressure than these prongs. The prong collar is only cruel when left on an animal. As it can lead to the skin growing around it and infection which is just the owners ignorance.
Stick to cats. On my third Doberman. All used them until age 3 or so. Work great. You don't yank on them. The dog self corrects... If they pull too hard, it gets uncomfortable & they soon learn they should slow down a bit.
Choke chains and flat collars are actually the worst options for a puller. Prong collars distribute the force of the pull. Causing the prongs to turn inward which pinches the dog. Mimicing a mother biting the neck except this is around the entirety of the neck.

Sophia E Hello Nine year old this is not some cat collar made of dog teeth this is a a collar that prevent the dog to pull aka choke them selves out (besides scourge wasn’t stabbed to death with his dog teeth collar he was killed by firestar ;) )
@@modernbaseball.lvr69 you call them a 9 year old to insult them yet try to inform them of the book that you were insulting them of.... Make up your mind
"simply undo the clasp" DOESNT SHOW HOW TO UNDO THE FUCKING CLAS
Horse my dogs 9 and she still pulls I’ve tried harnesses, gentle leaders, front ring harness, and even tried training her this is the best option for me ;)
Not my favorite.. My hands are small and I can't get it… its cheaper then Clip ons but so much harder to deal with.
Thank u sir
I swear these aren't designed for people with small hands lol
thanks i almost bought a new one
Anything wrong? This is your last vid
Nice video bro 👍👍👌👌👌✌✌✌👏👏👏💓💓💓😀 Wow very nice dog choke chain video bro 👏👏
My doesn’t have a clasp wtf
I have a choke chain ( training collar) for my siberian husky so when it tries to go faster than me while taking it for a walk it'll kinda titen its neck a little. Its very helpful now my dog walks at my pace!!😄😄
Rebel 223 Take it off your dog you cruel evil human.
@@danielledewitt1 how am I cruel I don't always have it on my dog you idiot so shut up. Its freaking training collar you rude human. It doesn't cause any pain to my dog
no one asked you to say something that's so rude...😒😒
Rebel 223 it's a husky it's basically a wolf
@@sophiaetka22 no not really its a mix with a wolf..but its not a wolf
Sophia E It’s a dog not a wolf. The dog and wolf are completely different.
the only time use my dogs prong coller is when he goes to stors
@@sophiaetka22 not everyones forst language is english. Are you bilingualm dont be so judgemental
Chain collars are better
Kenneth Buettner your dog should not go to stores unless it’s a service dog, make sure you only go to pet friendly so your dog doesn’t distract service dogs who are needed for a owner’s disability
@@MyleeBenoit yeah you're right I have a service dog and I hate people who bring their Bad Pets in the stores

Eso es un elemento de tortura. Un horror que le pongan eso a sus perros, jamás lo haría con los míos.
It's abuse folks, don't get confused.

I don’t even need this for my Great Pyrenees
You are lucky. I wish my dog didnt pull or atleast reacted to positive reinforcement training.
Sophia E good for you, we are just trying to stop our dogs from pulling
Omg cool
Prong collars sort of scare me, because I feel like they could hurt the dog physically. I have a feeling Oakley wouldn’t care if I put one on her. Lol
@@sophiaetka22 they can for sure hurt a dog if improperly placed
Hi
I’m so reporting you for abusing
Red raptor 10 why?
You mean educating. They are educating. Something you should do is educate yourself on the pros and cons of prong collars and othet types of collars.
This is like medieval torture! Absolutely dont agree with this! Dogs are wonderful intelligent companions! If you can't train a dog properly without torture you shouldn't be allowed to own one! Shame on the manufacturers and people selling this product! Some people will do anything for money!
Incorrect placement
Thanks captain obvious
How cruel I would never buy this crap
You clearly don’t understand dog training.
You must not understanding dog training or have ever had a dog that can literally drag you around
This doesn't work at all I've tried 3 different videos on RUclips and none of them. I don't believe you just squeeze and pull that's not what's happening this is not possible. Besides that you can't even see what you're doing because your hands are in the way
thank you!
Dont use it!!!
Explosiv3 AJ shut up please. You don’t know our dogs or us.
@@draggeddowngames1689 shut up you don't deserve to have a dog ig you'll fucking use it that's fukin painful
this collar is so bad. i had one before like it without all the clasp and chain BS. it was just a buckle and prong links. this one is horrible
So wrong 😕
Wat the fuck
That’s just gross
This coller is cruelty if you cant manage dog with love don't pet them
Its only cruel if left on an animal as then it can cause tons of medical issues.
But if used properly its safee than a regular collar on a pulling dog. Dont be confused because it "looks" cruel.
Lmao what? You must have never had any experience with a dog that pulls so much you can bust your ass and he drags you around.
I have a better use for prong collars. Hang it on a wall and hang your coat, keys, bag and if your visially impaired long cane on it. Never put this collar on a dog.
Danielle Dewitt amazing answer LOL thanks.
Morpheus Art Studio You are welcome.
THER USED FOUR DOGS
Lol not sure how well that aould work considering the prongs arent that long and they move.
No pets or animals deserves this collor
Train through Pain😐 No thanks, especially on a dog with a very short coat, i.e. doberman.
Abuse much? I use a choke chain for my husky but not with all those spikes 😐🤨
They pinch, not pierce. Safer then a choke chain too.
it doesn't impale your dog...shhhess I really wish people would study more.
Choke chains and flat collars are actually the worst options for a puller. Prong collars distribute the force of the pull. Causing the prongs to turn inward which pinches the dog. Mimicing a mother biting the neck except this is around the entirety of the neck.
