Oh man this is God Tier Seiko! Love these new Recreation Divers. The Ever Brilliant steel really does look brighter and brilliant in videos. I'm sure it's magnificent in person! My only potential gripe with these is that you should really be getting a bracelet with this watch, when you're spending this much money. I'm guessing it has to do with the new E.B. steel and manufacturing, etc. It's so great that you get to handle all of these lovely watches, Big E! I'd be going broke in no time lol. Great video!
Possibly the best looking diver out there Big E. A bit steep on the price but I'm sure they'll hold value or even increase. They remind me of a dressy version of the MM300 which would be the one to go for if you really want more water resistance. I suppose that was Seiko's reasoning for this release. My only concern is the lack of parts availability long term. The 8L movement can only be serviced by Seiko Japan because of this. Thanks for another great review.
I’ve just bought one, in the flesh you can see where the money goes lol. Great watch. Thankfully Seiko don’t have A CLUE how to market their watches lol. Compare it to ANYTHING in the four thousand range or even more and it’s remarkable. I heard it’s hand assembled and fitted too, which Is amazing. I put it alongside my friends submariner and honestly it’s miles ahead. I think they’re better on rubber rather than a bracelet it’s more historically accurate. But what do I know lol
Of course technology did not go backwards and you already know that they did a recreation of the high beat ( SLA039J1) this is just another option that doesn't suppose to have 300 m of water resistant. And you can always get a tuna with 1,000 m of water resistance so the technology is here.
For me this is by far the most beautiful dive watch.

Yes I just got this SLA057 for my personal collection and I absolutely love it. ! Will do my 1/2 year state of the collection soon !

BEautiful watch but in 1968 you get 300m of water resistance and in 2022 you get 200m. Did technology go backwards in over 50 years? Pathetic!
