    I love your gentle ways and positive thinking. You’re the type of dog groomer that is needed on RUclips. Wish the owner would have given the pups to someone who can care for the pups more but easier said than done.

      This was really interesting! Thank you for your compassion and patience - with the dog and the owner. I tried giving my Maltese/cockapoo mix a haircut during our initial 4 months of COVID lock down. Neither of us enjoyed it, but at least we kept the matts under control until our beloved groomer was allowed to open back up.

      thank you! that's what i am saying! i can't help but feel sad or mad about the condition he was in but i rather focus on how i can help the doggo AND the owner out.. i can tell the owner doesn't have a lot of money and she is doing the best she can, and i can tell. but as i was writing in another comment, where i live, if you want to "adopt" a dog you can just pick it up from the street! that's how i got all my pets ! so at least the doggo has a place to eat,sleep,and not be exposed to the dangers of living in the streets... i think people are having a hard time understanding that. anyways thanks for watching happy grooming and stay safe out there!

    Great work !! We have very mean groomers in my area !!!! Our Bicheon don’t like grooming even though he was being groomed all his life for 13 years ! When his groomer left the lady who owned the shop did not want to help us ! She says he is too old and dosnt like to be groomed ! After all these years and paying her almost 200 $ every visit now she don’t want to help us !! I had to try to find a groomer in my area and they were horrible and either were too booked or did not want to groom a older dog !! ! Finally some one took him and not being experienced left his paws undone and called me to pick him up !! Now I’m left with his paws being matted and his nails being too long I don’t want to put the poor dog into another bad situation !!! I don’t know what to do anymore !! These groomers are not helpful at all the dog is not even that much matted ! I wish groomers like you were around where I live!! These groomers can’t even handle cutting nails and simple shavings if it’s need to be done !
    He is healthy and active but had very bad experience being groomed after his own groomer left ! Appreciate any suggestions !

      @APEADogGrooming  3 года назад +1

      $200 USD?? WOW i charge $10-13 USD :(
      what breed is your dog? size? i would suggest doing the grooming yourself!
      1. you'll save time and disappointment on finding someone who will best match your needs
      2. your dog will appreciate the extra time with you
      3. you won't spend $200 on every groom!
      make sure to check out my DOG GROOMING BASICSplaylist! happy holidays!

    Good job! You are exactly the kind of groomer I would look for were I in your area. I never liked my Yorkie being caged all day just waiting in line for his turn. It was traumatizing for him. By the time it was his turn he was stressed out and the groomer had a hard time with him because of it. It ended up in a terrible groom too. He was a very well behaved dog and I only ever saw him act up that one time. I never took him back there but found someone like you. Thank you for this video. It was interesting to watch. Please show some kindness. I rescued my dog and when I say, she had problem upon problems. It took me quite a while before I could get her in order. I'm talking had to have severely matted ears done by vet under sedation before her being groomed by groomer. Then after several visits that were supposed to get her acclimated actually did the opposite. I had to do some myself before I found the right kinda groomer for her. Not to mention, I had never had a dog before and didnt anticipate a fraction of the challenges I encountered. I know this may not be this person's experience but just show some compassion as they figure things out.

I've been getting a lot of comments on the owner however its not something i can change or justify or even critize! i've given what i can and that's all i can ask of myself. they did come back and brought his mother in aswell! i am still editing the vid so i can upload it ! happy grooming and stay safe out there.

    I'm so glad you helped this dog. I know he felt so much better afterwards. I think it was very kind of you to make that deal with the owner and a great idea to stipulate that she brings the dogs in no later than two months. I hope she does that for the dogs' sakes. I would like the video more without the music though. I kept the volume up to hear you, but that repetitive music started to hurt my head.

    Bless you!!!! I do emergency grooming for people who's dogs are severely matted and parents can't afford to pay on a regular basis. I do it out of my home by donation. I can't see a dog suffer with mats. I also treat with revolution flee treatment. My vet gives it to me cheaper.

    Sounds like you are really concerned about the dogs and are willing to cut the groom price for one in order to get them taken care of. That speaks volumes for you as a business owner. Thank you for what you do.

    I love your way. And attitude with the dogs. I have been watching rovers makeovers and she is kinda rough around the edges and so impatient with the dogs like she doesn’t enjoy her job 🤔🤷‍♀️. A lot of complaints lol. As someone who works with dogs myself it helps if you like them. Lol.

      I watch Rovers Makeovers/ Mary Beth, she's in Oklahoma. Some dogs are very difficult, & being firm is not being rough. If u never groomed an agressive dog, dogs sense fear& these ppl that coddle them , are not helping dog to be easy groom.
      I also watch. My favorite groomer. Dede, from Texas.
      She specializes in agressive dogs& cats. U need to watch. Some dogs& cats are crazy wild!

    What an adorable dog, and such a sweet personality. I hope his owner maintains him better going forward. It's just heartbreaking to see an animal neglected this way.
    I have to wonder about the rescue story, though. What rescue sends a dog to the new owner without neutering it first?

    You did a spectacular job! He is such a gorgeous dog! Gee, my maltese goes every 4 weeks to the groomer & I’m 63. I use the same groomer every time. I bath him 2 weeks after the groomer grooms him. Not to be insulting, but 2-3 months is not enough for a poodle to get groomed. I have 5 persians on top of that and I’m not even a groomer.

    • @APEADogGrooming
      @APEADogGrooming  4 года назад

      yes i concur with you that they should be groomed once a month, however i do not think she has the kind of money to take her dogs in that regularly... i do what i can to help her and the pups,and she kept her word on coming in every 3-4 months. i am really glad you take good care of your pups, i always highly reccomend owners to do some grooming of their own at home! congrats!
