    Neither of my dogs like getting their front legs groomed. But our groomer does the same as you. She takes hold of the leg she’s grooming, and lets them know, it’s getting done. And she told me that’s how I should do it when I’m brushing legs. It does eventually work, and they will tolerate it.

    It doesn’t look like you are being rough at all! Yeah you are doing an excellent job! To give her a discount with the amount of work you do for both of the dogs because of their infestations (especially cleaning afterwards) is really awesome and shows you really care about the dogs and their well being.

    Good job on the doggy! You are really patient and thoughtful.
    Clearly he needs your attention.
    Just one thing..
    Research has shown that Frontline is linked to cancer and both dogs and humans that come to close contact with it, it is also linked to water supply contamination.
    Some safer and effective solutions are diatomaceous earth powder, neem oil and tea tree oil.
    I suggest you look them up :)

    I don't think you were being rough with him. You were being firm and assertive. He had to know you were going to finish his cut for future visits. I could tell that you really cared for him and only wanted to help him a d his dog mother. He looked so much better. You know he had to feel better. You are doing great and show lots of patience.

    I feel sorry for this poodle, as the Owner doesn't think how uncomfortable it is for him to have flees, now he feels note comfortable, lucky this groomer could help him, and hopefully the Owner continues to groom - look how beautiful he is, unbelievable

    There are also options to give dogs monthly flea control with ingested pills or topical.

    • @terrybrewer3162
      @terrybrewer3162 4 года назад +1

      You have to treat sleeping area & yard whole house. Fleas can live in carpet , baseboards, the eggs hatch& jump on dog. It takes months to break cycle. Dog swallows flea, gets tapeworm. U have to vacuum up flea eggs.
      This dog is not that bad, not growling, snapping., just fidgety.
      And fleas will jump on ppl

  • @Paula-ko5md
    @Paula-ko5md 3 года назад

    You are doing a great job! Just a advice you could give to the owner. Fleas can jump pretty high and far so even if she treats the dogs against them. They are still EVERYWHERE in the house. She has to wash EVERYTHING that is washable, clean and spray every corner in her house and if you can't wash things you just put it in plastikbags, close it up and put it in the freezer for at leasts a week! Otherwise she and the poor dogs will always have fleas! 😬😥 Yes it is a lot of work and maybe you can suggest to the owner to get help from relatives or professionells etc.
    But you are helping a lot! 👍🥰

    I think you were very gentle with him, even though he was pulling constantly. I know he feels so much better afterwards. I'd say they need to be back before three months with the state they are aloud to get into at home.

      @APEADogGrooming  4 года назад +1

      yes i can agree with that statement, however i know she won't be bringing them that often. and i don't want to seem too pushy. i would bath them once a month if she brought them in. yes i know! he really showed some personality this visit! he did seem more confident and seem to feel better after the groom! thanks for supporting my channel and commenting. happy grooming and stay safe out there!

    What is it with letting dogs get close to the edge of the table and almost falling off because noo one is paying attention?!!! Just watched a video where the baby was halfway off the table even with 3 people standing right there!!! Even with bring "tethered", there's a chance they could falll Offf! Or worse yet, strangle themselves because nooo one is watching !!!! Grrrr!!¡

    Where do you live that there are so many street dogs? In the USA we have Animal Control in each county that picks up strays. After 7 days in a shelter, they are euthanized.

    • @APEADogGrooming
      @APEADogGrooming  4 года назад +1

      yes there are dog pounds, shelters, or animal control if you will... however there still are stray dogs. some escape from home, some are born on the steets and some are abandoned on to the streets.
