    Good to see you are back. I don't go on RUclips much anymore so I missed your latest. Too bad you are running out of cornstalk bales. It is still a dream of mine to be involved in one or more of your baling operations if I can be the skid steer guy.

    Yep, it has been awhile since we've heard from you. Looks like the feed program for the feeders is working pretty good. Looks like you guys made a good upgrade with the combine. Thanks for the update. Hope you & your family have a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year. Stay safe.

    How much slop are you able to feed those steers? What's the slop consist of?

    • @landmarkcattle5220
      @landmarkcattle5220  4 года назад +1

      Luke Herring zero slop to the Holstein. Only the angus

    • @lukeherring8940
      @lukeherring8940 4 года назад

      @@landmarkcattle5220 Looked like in the past you have fed the holstein steers slop. Did you get along with that pretty good? They give corn syrup away around here and was wondering how much of that you can feed to a fat steer?

    • @landmarkcattle5220
      @landmarkcattle5220  4 года назад +1

      Couldn’t get them to gain 3 lb a day away n it and lost money. That’s why they don’t get slop

    • @lukeherring8940
      @lukeherring8940 4 года назад

      What gains do you see on the angus calves with the slop?

    • @landmarkcattle5220
      @landmarkcattle5220  4 года назад +1

      Ive been told over 3 if you take the water away and force them to drink the liquid with free choice silage and balancer mineral. But I’m giving them water. I just weigh them today and they’re 780 average. I’ll weigh in a few months to check. Also, can’t feed it to anything under 600 lbs. they will get a potbelly.I hae been changing every few months trying new things to figure out what works. Nobody will tell me anything.

      Midwest Allis Acres I use a pellet with corn and bi carb. It’s like 9:1 ratio.. my nutritionist tests the corn so it changes
