    The Oscar's are really nice! I can't imagine having a 260 gallon aquarium, lol.

    Nice looking fish. I'm sure they appreciate the upgrade. I have a jack dempsey that's about 4 inches, and he's starting to color up really well, hope he looks as good as yours👍

    The first tank I'd use some aqua clear it helps as well you could use sponge filters to clear up the tank. I use to have Oscar's back then and I would use fluval filters as well to keep the tank clear and clean. Keep us updated.

    Ooooh that’s a beauty of a tank sir! I’d really love to invest in one some day. I can only afford a 75 gallon right now. Lots of 20/30/40/55s. Yea they really grow out quite insanely when their able to. My jd’s are huge same as my GT’s. Had to rehome them. Aw the way they stick next to each other even tho there’s not Alota space is still cute.

    That was a solid bite by your Oscar , to that Dempsey . How'd it work out ? I'm introducing my jack Dempsey And my Flagtail to my two Oscars next week in my 125 and I'm extremely nervous especially after seeing that hit 😂

    • @otcfishkeeper5414
      @otcfishkeeper5414  5 месяцев назад +1

      It was a fluke hit but if it is the one I am thinking of it did kill the Jack. I have kept these two types of cichlids together for years and that was the only problem I have had with them. It was just sad bad luck.

      @@otcfishkeeper5414 , I was afraid to hear that And I'm sorry for the loss . thank you for the reply Normally , I keep my aquariums species only However , I recently moved into a smaller apartment and unfortunately everyone has to take a hit on space . I have no choice but to mix these fish together on Monday but the 125 will be a new environment for all 4 of them so I'm hoping they will be distracted . I'm also adding two wavemakers to the aquarium on opposite sides of the tank . The goal is to keep them too busy trying to acclimate to the new environment and the high flow of the wavemakers they don't have time to fight but only time will tell . I subbed to your channel btw thanks for the update

      @otcfishkeeper5414  5 месяцев назад

      Thank you for the sub. I think it helps to have more than 2 together. Just like you said, more will keep them too busy to fight as much. I recently added a large pleco to my Oscar tank and even that little bit of change has reduced the aggression a bit.

    I guess that you guys don’t do much in aquascaping? Your aquariums look like a zoo from the 30’s. No rocks, no roots no nothing except some water.

      Yea, I am working on that. I am hoping after the move I will have more free time to get creative. I have already grown a bunch of Java Fern that will make a great planted tank or two.
