stella I WAS WAITING TO SEE WHO WOULD REALIZE! 😂🤣 Actually the first 3 were actually red lights and the last 3 were filters. Don’t worry - my official RED LIGHT comes in the mail next week.
we should make a "red wine talks bingo". we fill the blank spaces with: damon quoted an article on quora; his guest said something deep and damon made a joke about it; ex-mentions; compliments to the the guest's appeaerance (cof cof raida) and/or personality; complaints about french people; complaints about society and old-fashioned morals; complaints about indiana; fancy words; etc..
I wish these videos (this one more than the others) were longer and went into more depth. I feel like these were great introductions to conversations but that nothing was really said. The very first wine talk was the perfect length and held so much nuance. None the less, this was a great video and I love watching all of your interactions with your friends.
reading "call me by your name" in the title had me SHOOK name one other video on yt covers such a diverse array of important topics how is it possible that these red wine talks are getting even BETTER EACH TIME??
12:34 to about 13:10 I think about shit like that all the time and it can be so overwhelming for me I’ve recently had to learn how to pause that sometimes because it really be making me feel anxious af because none of those things have like.... actual concrete answers So I got you when you say that it can be scary to think about ♡
First of all, I love these types of videos sooo much! It's always super refreshing to see genuine conversations on RUclips. I'm a black girl living in a small-ish city in Germany (born and raised) and I remember being so shocked by how diverse cities like London and Berlin are. I loved seeing all types of people from all walks of life living side by side. However, that for sure isn't the norm for the rest of Europe. It's 2020 and I STILL get looks of disbelief and confusion when I walk down the street. To be fair, it has gotten better but damn, we still have a long ass way to go. It was super interesting to see Dominique's perspective on this though.
when Dominiqe said "if i have to try even harder to project im not gonna talk at all" I FELT THAT IN MY SOUL

totally agree about the emotions part -- it's not a bad thing to feel sad !! we're human ! feel it, honor it and move on/let it go. love your perspectives
I’m the editor of my school’s newspaper and this is about to be the second deadline I spend by myself in the lab editing this issue all evening while listening to friday night wine talks thanks for keeping me company guys ily
I fell off but I’m back here watching now...I’ve missed you🥺 I love how in these videos it feels like I’m listening to friends talk and I’m just there indulging in the conversations...does that make any sense?😅🤣
I’m pretty young and never been in a relationship, and call me by your name really touched me because I feel like I relate to elio (in the book his inner dialogue is so well articulated it’s amazing to read his thought processes, highly recommend the book to anyone who has only seen the movie) but I don’t think I’ll ever experience something like that and I guess that’s why I cherish it so much. the story is just such a beautiful portrait of a boy in italy during the summer in the 80s like it’s so romantic even outside the love aspect - it romanticizes nature and family and art and music and intellect and all of it just comes together beautifully. I could talk about call me by your name forever
yo Damon 13:00 it's actually the most terrifying feeling/thought. like legitimately another level of scary. i have never been able to explain it quite right but they're thoughts that have been in my head since i was like 4 y/o. i used to get so scared from zooming out and wondering wtfffff is it like someone else's game of monopoly?
This is honestly my favourite series on youtube! I love being able to hear you talk about such diverse and interesting topics in such a relaxed way. Please keep making them. Bisous!
I'm in Barcelona right now on the phone with my travel best friend planning a trip to Milan and I said to her "Where is Damon Dominique? He needs to see me shut up and going!" and you posted this. Ugh! I'm so happy
I was going to comment after I finish watching the whole video but im halfway through it and i just needed to comment now about how much i LOVE laughing with you and your friends when im watching your videos. It's honestly one of the most heartwarming feelings. I bursted out laughing the same time you guys did at 11:14 and i just needed to say you guys are so fucking funny. Love.
Unrelated but though I would share that from watching yours and Jo’s channels has motivated me to be independent as a traveller and just in general.I’ve met so many cool ppl thanks to your inspiration and learned a few langages along the way .Merci Damon je serai s’installer à Londres cette année xxx
What you guys were saying about acknowledging your emotions and that it’s a good thing to be able to have a range of emotions - I don’t know if you ever read Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom, it’s a fantastic book. One of the things he talks about is when you’re feeling upset or down or sad or anything like that, it’s really important to recognize that emotion. To acknowledge it. Because once you acknowledge it, you’re actually able to separate yourself from that emotion and start to move on. I thought it related a little bit to what you guys were saying
love this series sooo much!!! And wouldn't mind if they were even longer! I don't think you have to edit them this short and 'quick', they can be more in-depth. I think most of us love hearing you talking!!
Damon, I'm so relieved we share unpopular opinions. My issue is not quite the interruption by a child or a cute animal, it's the interruption itself. Or should I say the end of a deep conversation due to someone's inability to admit they are not informed enough to formulate an opinion or a counter argument to yours. Maybe it's all parents, but many African parents would rather shut up, end a discussion, and leave the situation than admit they don't know something, or that it's moving into some sensitive area they are not comfortable elaborating on!
I have a lot of deja vu. Sometimes i get scared by deja vu of places I'm visiting for the first time. This is officially my fave series on youtube, sending love from Italy
the beginning with you saying that Dominique is still living in New York was HILARIOUS im not sure why but it had me laughing my ass off!! great video!!
OMG YESSSSS finally a new episode. Found your channel through Ashley’s (bestdressed) episode. And honestly bin ged so many of your latest video uploads. Think you are super super interesting. Love the whole Country/ city discussions and analysis. I haves lived in London for 2 months and I am moving back there this year from Hamburg to study culture, criticism and curation / art history there (when it all works out) And I just love these diverse and open conversations and seeing so many people and their different perspectives.
Recently discovered your channel and am so smitten with your content. It is incredibly interesting to hear these conversations as someone who grew up with plural nationalities, having a multilingual upbringing and mixed-culture background. Bet many people identify with it. I happen to be French/Dutch with Indonesian roots. Absolutely adore your content. Much love, from the Netherlands.
As a person also from Indiana I could not relate more when you were talking about the stealing and someone asking if they were black, but then turning around to say they aren't racist.
I think this series would make a great podcast (or just longer videos). I would love to listen to you guys go more in-depth with some of these topics, especially since your guests have such different backgrounds and perspectives.
We're all just humans on earth floating in space , we can just ALL value each other and be understanding towards eachother, anywayyy much love . Love these topics
I love your topics. And the topic of our existence is totally underrated. And its great that you talked about it. It can be scary to think and talk about it but it doesn't really have to be a taboo. Your brainzies is awesome and yes "Quora" reader here too😂
also what you guys were saying about touchiness with friends rllt struck a cord with me. When I traveled to Egypt last summer to see some family I noticed how non romantic touchiness was so common amongst friends. In the States, amongst my male friends its considered rlly weird to sit close together or anything like that. Since I've grown up in North America I'm not used to non-romantic touchiness but when it does happen I realize how touch starved I am
I love this series so much. Everything feels always so deep and genuine like you can tell you've been friends enough to feel comfortable around each other. Also, shot out to the people on your ig that have the best suggestions tbh 😂you have such a lovely community supporting you! 💖
Damon, I am the exact same way with touch. My friends all have a joke that I’d melt them if they touch me lol. I blame it on being a Libra and having physical touch be very intense for me and my risk of literally falling in love with anyone
dominique bringing up timothee chalamet or cmbyn at any available moment is me also very assuring when she answered questions about being black in paris! my family and i are going to paris this year and my dad and i are both black (i chose paris because of you btw!!)
Hi I am French and Black live in Paris. We are plenty here and yes there is racism here just like anywhere in Europe or America.... so don't be suprised if you feel it. And of course other people from all over the world so you and your family won't stand out at all.
YES HER NAME IS DOMINIQUE AND MY NAME IS DAMON DOMINIQUE AND YES IT'S DAMON AND DOMINIQUE!
ICONIC!
MY name is Dominique and I want to be your friend so I guess I'm next. See you in Paris in October
*A little louder honey, I don’t think they heard you in the back 😂*
Damon you’re the best! I absolutely adore you! Manda um beijo!
Gasp!
shes so funny!! also i love how she's a fan of timothee chalamet like...... she made several points!!
she reminds me of... me!😂
Wait so this whole time it was a filter not a red light lighting yall

Its a portion size video. If you get it supersized you will become bored at one point. The portion satisfies you yet makes you crave for more.
I agree with the first! I like the wide range of topics but I want to hear more about just a few things

No, but for real, she can literally recite each scene word-for-word.
Damon Dominique honestly same. I can never get tired of that movie.
