Are employee raise requests causing you stress? 😟 In my latest video, I share the top strategies and techniques that I use to address these conversations head-on and create win-win outcomes. Gain the negotiation skills you need to build a motivated and satisfied team! 💪💼
Emphasizing working with an employee to build a plan, and provide resources (books/courses/mentorships) to grow into a role is so important. Not enough companies do that.
Love it! Thank you Dan, very thought provoking! I feel like there should be a matrix somewhere for what the typical roles and pay scales for SAAS businesses at $10M, $50M, $100M etc should be (90% of them are likely to be the same, right?). Good tip about designing that in at the beginning of the process.
At a start-up level the founder / ceo dishes out these titles. The CMO CFO etc work without a team build the company all while the company is NOT yet ready for what a true CFO CMO etc provides, while it's operating on a minimum budget. These are the people in the trenches doing the hands on work + sittiing in in the high value meetings representing the company as a CFO CMO etc. . When the company is at a place where those titles are needed(funding, more revenue etc), why is it then the person that must be negotiatied down? Doing it this way, will leave disappointed people. People that gave sweat , late nights and gave up family time to get the company into the position it is now. A better shift would be to honour those titles and increase the budgets, and transition them in to the filling in the titles.

"Be more intentional for your people" powerful as ever Dan. Really like how you mapped this out Dan.
Glad it could serve 🙏

1. Inflated Titles
2. Compensation Audit
3. Role Mapping Reset
