6:22 the note was singed with voce indietro(not usual for Pavarotti he uses most often the chest voice or mezza voce) thats why the crack(and i think he was having a cold) and in the 9:37 the same....

@MariaCallasLegend Im not thinking he cracked--but did "thin" it really badly and had to struggle to hold the note, and yes, one can tell from his face he is not pleased. It appears, to me, that he may have had abit of a head cold?? Hence use of the famous handkerchief for his nose? I suspect, due to this, he had to concentrate extra hard on Nessun in order to keep the voice strong, and even then, it seems the high C almost gets away from him but he manages to "put it in place" and finish well.
