My husband surprised me with tickets to this concert. Attending this concert was very expensive when you also include the flight and stay in London and we are not wealthy by any means. Just two hard working people. I was SO EXCITED as I'm half Italian. Dad's parent's from Rome and Florence. I grew up on Opera. My oldest son is a tenor opera singer. He went to DePaul University in Chicago, ( vocal performance major)and sang with the Chicago Opera theatre. Sadly, just a week before we were to fly to London I had a bad accident where I slipped and badly injured my back on wooden stairs and was not able to go. It broke my heart. It's nice to see the concert here. I come here from time to time to just imagine being there live!!

So sad to here that you never made it to this great concert,but at lease you can come here from time to time and see the great acts, I never grew up on these music but I know great music and great performance. So I listen to these music from time to time and it help me with great depression and stress in time like these, specially to know I can't feed my children. Am in need of some help

What is so obvious is that the tenors are having as much fun as the audience. That adds to the entertainment value.
All three are wonderful, but you can feel the passion in Pavarotti's voice and EYES. Love them all in this year 2022.

Ik had het geluk om samen met mijn man daar op dit concert aanwezig te zijn. Het was prachtig...nu nog als ik naar deze video kijk zie en hoor ik deze drie tenoren. Het was een concert dat ik mij heel mijn leven zal blijven herinneren . Zelfs de regen die neer viel kon het genieten niet stuk maken. Vier jaar na dit concert overleed mijn echtgenoot. Samen in 1996 hadden we dit concert mogen beleven.

@@MTMF.london They didn´t need more money. They had busy schedules and wouldn´t waste their time with someone they don´t like. The chemistry between them is awesome. You can´t fake it. Yes, they have massive egos as anyone extraordinarily successful. So it´s even more adorable they are performing together (and enjoying it).
@@Suuusan28 They may not have needed the money but they insisted on it and they certainly made a huge amount from the concerts and records . Additionally Pavarotti had huge tax liabilities to the Italian government and his divorce from his first wife of 40 years cost him a fortune.
I am a baritone and regularly sing bass but this does not preclude me from appreciating these wonderful voices
One of my gift from Above is - I maybe poor in social standards but I was given this lifetime a chance to watch these 3 music legends in this way and immensely entitled myself that glorious triumphant feel, vicarious as if I am a part of the crowd who ACTUALLY watched this in 1996. Thank you for sharing.
The passion of Carreras, the smoothness of Luciano, the sweetness of Domingo.
I love all three tenors and I love all Italian although Domingo is Spanish. May be because most Italian are music is their life.

My grandmother was an opera singer. She immersed me in this as a child I am so thankful to her for that gift.
Many people do not have passion, emotion for the beauty of the arts, especially this operatic music. It is a gift that touches one's soul.

My father heard Jose Carreras in San Francisco and when he came home my he said "The little tenor sang to me through the entire concert; "eye to eye" I was so proud and embarrassed at the same time." My dad who came from Saint Petersburg Russia heard Corso sing and also saw the great Russian ballerina Pavlova. Our home was filled with opera, and books. My first memory was waking up hearing Carmina Burana
by Carl Orff; my husband I have seen this incredible work in 2 concerts: San Francisco, San Jose and all were wonderful to enjoy live.
How fortunate for you to have this beautiful family and music in your life!
Dec. 28, 2020 -- Most of us certainly will be happy to see this year gone ... nothing better for the soul than hearing music in RUclips when we are so isolated and down. Great to see that there are people who enjoy and get emotional listening to the Famous Three. Sadly, the days of these musical performances seem to be gone, but not forgotten! I love having been blessed to watch the 3 Tenors perform regularly on tv "back then", when we were a nation of culture and beauty! Those times are gone!

How can anyone say Pavarotti does not display emotion when he sings? He would make one cry even if they didn't understand the words. Just look at his face.
September 2, 2019. Three tenors unsurpassed. These concerts were always as if coming from a different realm. What is difficult to understand are those 974 dislikes.

The Three Tenors were great but there are lots of flaws when the singers are reading the music. That might mean that they were not fully ready for the performance. You have to listen closely to hear the flaws but they are there. Another factor may be the outdoor venue.
I'm basically a jazz guy. I cannot give this performance enough thumbs up.
I can't believe how closed minded I was when it came to music. I used to hate this until I really listened to it. Now I love it.

My father loved the three tenors! He had a cassette player in his truck. We would listen to it while he was able to drive. I enjoyed listening also! When one does not have to think about the lyrics, it is heaven on earth!

So sad to think we may never have figures like these 3 men who somehow communicated a sense of unity and enjoyment for everyone, all nation's, through the artful beauty of this classical music. So thankful I was alive to witness them in our culture during those years. all 3 embody the word Maestro and all 3 were such sincere human beings.
