Mahindra got to study the market by launching 3 door thar. It came to know that most of people buying thar was using it for daily city use, so this time they focused more on making it more family friendly and easy to use daily car.
I use it for tarred roads mainly but on occassion when I have to use 4WD it is such a blessing in such areas. Also on damaged & under repair roads I have an advantage over other vehicles on road
@@almondnineno you don't. You have Loda advantage. You don't even have any training to do offroading and do differential braking etc.
All you can do is drive on broken city roads. That's it.
@@ManishSingh-xo1fb but I am telling you my lived experience of 30k kms driven on Thar boss. Once I had to reverse on an incline of village ghat road into a property because going fwd was not possible because of narrow bridge and I praised God because I could do that only on 4 high in reverse else front wheel was losing traction. Also on clay type muddy estate road I could come out only because of Thar in 4L for 500 metres and 4H for rest.

Thar is a good vehicle..It's easy to buy a thar but every thar owner I met cries about the pathetic milage...
I own a thar and after spending 19L on the top model, i do not expect mileage like Baleno ( my other car )- I bought Thar for offroading and im super happy with my 3 door thar. So the perception of getting good mileage from thar comes from people who just comment for the sake of commenting...buy it and feel the thrill...btw this is my first ever comment on RUclips...

@@PradipThomson well it is a mix of both ( i am referring to 4x4 version ) - it surely is a family car and a very capable offroader- and it is going to sell like hot cakes- Base model will have a min. waiting period of 1-1.5 yrs and by that time the base model price would be increased by 1 lakh or so.

Jimny is already being used as taxis in Himachal Pradesh. People in the 4x4 region don't want a feature loaded car. They want inexpensive cars with cheap spare parts & service network. In fact the 3 door thar will go out of market now.
This car will change the market other companies need to think we are moving back to jeep old days jeep and which is good for Indian roads and the changing climate. Recent floods in Kerela the various Mahindra cars helped many people in rescue from flood affected areas. Additionally we can take this car to multiple locations and even of rough Indian roads. 🎉❤ ❤❤
