Yeah, that's one thing literally every company doesn't get right. The good thing with the Mafex ones, you can use an extra flesh coloured neck (like the Hush Bruce Wayne one) to make it accurate. Definitely don't have that option when dealing with Hasbro unfortunately - and certainly don't have any necks I could use on a Mezco.

4:37 do you ever find it odd how Wolverine's bone claws are rounded like bone, but when they're coated with adamantium they suddenly become completely flat like katana blades?
Yep. And as he was originally conceived, they were housed in his gloves, not in his body at all. Byrne decided that would be stupid, as anyone could take his gloves and become Wolverine, so he had them coming out of his body.
Man. If this is gonna be your introduction to the line, you're gonna be blown away. And I'm sorry you have to wait so long for it to come in. But it'll be worth it.
I usually don’t like mezco figures cause I feel like they’re chonk bodies and clothes make them looks stubby. Though for wolverine, I think it works so well since he’s already so short!👏👏

Since I have the previous tiger stripe one, my main reason getting this was for those slashing effects to use with my Mafex ones (Marvel vs Capcom display). I hope those holes are compatible, and the weight doesn't snap the claws off.
So I was charged about two weeks ago from Mezco, and have yet to receive a tracking number. It still shows "processing." I sent them an email a week ago politely asking what's going on, but never got a reply. So I don't know if this is a normal thing with them charging you for an item and taking over two weeks to mail it off? I'm just really excited to get it, so the not knowing if I ever will get it is what sucks.

But that's only because I have a FedEx account, so they send me about 17 emails every time a package is mailed off. I'm sure if I went on Mezco's site, it'd still say processing. I found a good deal on this Wolverine and on the fence because at the same time sideshows also has theirs on sale. The 1/6 scale figure does look better somewhat and have better proportions for my taste. But Mezco is throwing in so many good stuff with multiple heads and Sentinel base.... It's a tough call

Oh, that's a shame about the ball pegs being different sizes. I was hoping to use the classic head on the older body since the tiger stripes are move of an odd design like his first appearance (even if everything else looks more modern on it.)

From what I can tell, it is a new buck but the only parts that are actually bulkier are the thighs. So that's likely what's giving it the overall bulky look. Everything else is pretty much the same as far as size goes.
What I noticed from this comparison is the original Tiger Striped Wolverine looks a bit chunkier than the newer version. And frankly, I like the original Tiger striped outfit (except for the boots and Cowl) over the new as well🤓
He don’t look to bad. Nice to see mezco getting a bit better with human proportions cos I find they always look so off, always look so short and stumpy and not very realistic or even a stylised proportion

I totally understand that. But I think this one isn't meant to be the modern take on Wolverine as he wasn't always drawn as stocky. This is meant to be an overall Wolverine from classic to modern.

7:42 Just a little constructive criticism with the line - I was hoping early on with One:12's they'd stop sculpting the mouths so far below the nose. It gives them a bit of a monkey look. That and they've always made the heads disproportionately large. I've never heard Mezco being a company that listens to collectors, but I don't think many ppl ever point out these issues that aren't prevalent with other figure companies. Not at all saying it isn't in the top 2 best tiger stripe Wolverine figures ever, I just wish they'd fix those easily remedied issues.
Almost everything looks fantastic except the brown hair on the unmasked heads. It should have been black. I get they've gone for a more natural brown tone to channel a bit of the Hugh Jackman look inti the sculpts but even then it's far too light a brown. With so many nods towards the Jim Lee/90's cartoon representation of Wolverine I can't really understand the logic here in not sticking true to his black hair in those interpretations.

The black belt and bones claws make zero sense being that he’s never had those in his tiger stripe costume. Instead they should have included maybe a battle damaged Logan head.

I like the older body, it looks more muscular but overall I always prefer the classic look.
The older one definitely feels stocky which fits Wolverine a little better.
