Here is a transcription for Larry Williams bass solo in Thats What Love Will Make You Do. Was going to do the slap bass one but couldn't figure it out so ended up doing this instead.

@@possibly8180And the insane thing with Mononeon is he's actually right handed! He just ended up preferring it that way anyway, and also makes some unique use of it (easy bending of the high strings for example)

yeah and unnececary, because it'is cleary an improv solo.

Why unnecessary ? Just because it’s improv doesn’t mean it isn’t worth transcribing ?!
@@martinbarnaby1470 Because he will never play it that again that way. So why boder. And it would be pretty lame if you use an improv solo from someone else for your self. Just imrov yourself so you can be yourself.
@@forumvoordebielen the point of transcribing a solo isn't to replicate it but to examine and contextual what others are thinking and doing. If you have a problem with improvisational transcription, you're going to have a problem with jazz and blues. But it seems you're mostly just ignorant to the "why" of transcription, as a tool with useage beyond reproduction. Very handy tool to grasp what your peers are thinking and doing

sure the line might look possible with some practice but you have to remember hes slapping upside down meaning he is moving his hand twice as often, and after a few slaps that gets very tiring. great player to carry the whole line like that

as a left handed bass player who has been around right handed players for years, YES, specially the slapping. That's almost impossible.
