As soon as we find out the date I’m taking off of work which I haven’t done in over a decade for a game. Everyone that had a taste has nothing but good things to say about Infinite.
Halo Infinite will be the Halo that brings it back to being a console seller like it was in the 360 days. It plays amazingly. The perfect blend of classic feel of Halo 2 & 3 with modern movement and ADS from Halo 5. If the campaign is as good as the classic Trilogy or Reach (with the emotions and acting of Halo 4), it will a huge GOTY contender.
The Ascent is one of the most visually impressive game I have ever seen. What they do with the camera perspective and the multiple levels make the city feel gigantic.
Agree on Miranda, but Ryan does come across as a little big headed at times and not really open to thinking on a broader scale, judging some games harshly off the bat.
Hearing Stella gives me the most confidence. For someone not familiar with halo multi-player she has mentioned alot of strategy that makes Infinite sound like a true Halo experience.
Halo Infinite feels like the sequel to Halo 3 we have all been waiting for. Reach, 4, and 5 just played like a different series. Can not wait for the game to come out. Halo is the reason I keep buying Xboxes.

Gear 5 does look beautiful though. Just the amount of design and planning to build such a sprawling world is mind boggling.
Halo infinite definitely doesn’t really need a battle royal at all. All they would need to do is focus on doing its own thing and not following trends and people would come over and play it because it’s free to play and welcoming to new players. If we did get a battle royal it would just be created in forge by some fan and create a custom game
A hundred player mode against a huge (run it in the cloud) amount of enemy ai would be cool. Think ODST's firefight mode crossed with battle royal. Also a battle royal where when you die, you respawn in the storm as flood (a nod to the classic zombie mode) would a also be sweet.

I am loving Flight simulator so much on my Series X. I have been visiting friends and families places and sharing them screenshots of their houses ans towns lol. It even plays better than my PC thanks to the great optimization!

Every feature you want or need to have the best quality gaming experience is on the C1. I'm loving it, but waiting for more titles like Halo to see what it's really capable of!

I wasn’t really invested in the story of The Ascent, but I loved the world and combat. Had some issues, game crashed a handful of times but wasn’t enough to detract me from playing. Just finishing up the side quests now. Great game!
Haven't played it yet but it's kinda fucked up that the pc version has difficulty settings but the xbox version doesn't. Hopefully that gets patched in at some point.
@@mdog86 But, I don't think The Ascent game pass version has difficulty option. I play it on game pass pc and I don't have the option to change difficulty. I guess it's the same version with the one that all the reviewer got.
Good news! Just saw on twitter the devs said they're working to bring difficulty and other settings over to both gamepass versions. So should be sometime soon hopefully.

Stella brings up a point about Halo MP having SBMM. The big downside to SBMM is there is no feeling of progression (getting better) because you're always facing players of the same skill level. The only way you learn to get better in any competitive game is to play those better than you and learn from them. SBMM takes this vital part away in favor of making a "safe space" for everybody so they have fun instead of actually lose... The very thing that makes you get better. So, it will be interesting to see if Infinite uses SBMM considering it's from an era where SBMM didn't exist.
wow what a bad way to talk about an AMAZING game... it's almost if these guys didn't know what to think of the Ascent. I've played co-op in a private game with a friend and it played absolutely perfectly and we both had a great experience. This is an Xbox exclusive and an amazing one at that. It really should have been shone in a more positive light. The Ascent is incredible.. the game play, graphics, music, gear, weapons, upgrade system.. everything about it works extremely well. Once I start I can't stop playing. Microsoft should buy Neon Giant immediately. This is a super strong exclusive that should be advertised as one of Xbox's best because it simply is.
Halo doesn't need a BR because like Miranda said, whenever a game has a traditional (arena) MP, if they add a BR mode, the BR becomes the focus to try and compete with Fortnite, Apex, etc. and the arena modes are left to rot while players who want arena modes are forced to play BR, or quit altogether. The market is over-saturated with BRs and not everybody likes BRs, ironically.
I Loved the Halo beta (the very 1st flight with human like AI bots). I adore the Ascent. It's amazing. Microsoft Flight Simulator is absolutely Stunning and things just keep getting better. I wouldn't trade my XSX for the entirety of other gaming devices combined.
Played some of the tech preview. Can’t wait for the next preview and for the full release later this year. So excited for it. Played so much better then Halo 5 and that was a great pvp game. Glad there aren’t crazy moves and it feels like a 2021 game.
I'm interested in seeing a Halo BR and I don't think it would fragment the player base at all - you're always gonna have diehards like Destin who will only ever play regular slayer /big team etc. and that's totally cool. But a BR would potentially introduce more players who love BRs but don't enjoy arena shooters. Then you have the potential for crossover (OG Halo players trying out BR mode and vice versa). Don't think having a BR is a deal breaker for most people but I'd be interested in seeing what a Halo BR looked like

I love both Flight Simulator and the Ascent, but I like more the Ascent I TOTALLY SUCK at twin stick shooters, I've never been able to finish any twin stick shooter, but some how the Ascent game mechanics feel so natural and I'm really good at it. The game looks gorgeous, plays great and it's super fun specially with local Co op. What an amazing job did Neon Giant with this game.
the battle royal announcer thing could be there for forge and customs. I think that could be possible and if its made and popular 343 could improve on it and release it in the future. Personally i dont like battle royals so to me the less resources 343 puts into that mode the better
the banished are kind of the opposite of the covenant, they were born out of the heavy racism between brutes and elites in the covenant. when a member of the covenant commits an act of heresy, they go through a banishing ritual, basically an execution. The leader never believed in any religion and was the first to fight back against the ritual. the banished were a faction that was both an enemy of the covenant and humanity, both had no chance at taking them on. there basically a very big galactic group of mercenary's who belive that you earn what you earn.
The bots are self learning. From what I understand they will become better over time. You kind of notice that. Not every bot had the same level of intelligence in each game. Spartan bots felt like playing against Halo players. They would jump shot, crouch shot, strafe, actuate bounce grenades. I can’t wait to see where these bots go. Elite AI anyone?
So the banished are not really religious like the covenant. Basically a clan of brutes were sent on suicide missions during the war and eventually one brute kept returning, and eventually they were scared of him rebelling so they went to execute them and he and the other brutes rebelled. After that they would raid covenant outposts and recruit any members who didn't wanna die. By the time of the end of the war they were about the same size as the covenant was
Hehe, you guys are like 180* off of what the Banished are. These guys were BANISHED from the covenant before the covenant died (there ARE loyalists groups of covenant still trying to maintain that, but they're not Banished). The initial group rebelled and then pragmatically gained resources and numbers via guerilla attacks on the Covenant. More in depth: The leader, Atriox, was sent on countless suicide missions where all the other brutes died, until he got fed up and turned on the covenant. Lots of people joined him, and they were like a guerilla force against the covenant through the second half of the war. I think the interesting bit is that they AREN'T fanatical and seem to be quite willing to work with anyone who might help their cause, and so they've amassed quite the eclectic bunch of foces. Additionally, their weapons kind of mirror that aesthetic - they're brutal and kinetic like the brutes that lead them, but they're also cobbled together from UNSC and covenant tech that they scavenge off the battlefields much like the soldiers that make up their ranks (not that there are many humans among their number).
Unrelated: I would love a Halo Battle Royale... If we all played as grunts, escaping a wave of flood or a collapsing halo ring or an exploding covenant cruiser. Would love that.
@@SkeeLoGreene it’s understandable I think. Stella usually plays on PC and halo has never launched alongside the console release. Definitely think she missed out on Halo 1-Reach multiplayer when it was in its peak. Especially 3.
I didn’t play halo as the originally came out even though I had the original Xbox and 360 etc… It just didn’t appeal to me. When Master Chief Collection was announced I felt like the price to what I was getting was wordy trying it and I kinda liked it but when I tried Online I was terrible lol. I could never get with the controls in Halo no aim, no running etc… I started my FPS shooting with COD and I want to say by the time I played Halo I already played Battlefield which I think is the best of all 3 with the distraction mechanics. I thought I played all of master chief before halo 5 came out but I recently went back to HMCC to remind myself with the story that I didn’t understand the first time and it was a whole new game on it and it said I didn’t finish games lol so I started completely over beat 1 and 2 but in the middle of 2 or maybe 1 I realized halo is just a zombie game and not being a fan of zombies or the zombie games it really turned me off so I’m not sure how much ill play the campaign or the multi player. However i have gamepass and so its free so Ill give it shot but I really hope the flood isn’t in the new game I’m so tired of the zombie stuff and Ill see how it goes. I did enjoy seeing you all geek out about it!

The word "need" isn't necessarily the right word. Halo Infinite multiplayer is going to be a full multiplayer suite available on multiple platforms with crossplay and it is going to be free. It is clearly going to be successful as is. The question is, would including a battle royale mode make it even more successful? I think the answer is clearly yes. My current expectation for Halo Infinite multiplayer is that I will download and play it on day one, I will dabble for maybe a few weeks, but then ultimately stop playing regularly and go back to my regular multiplayer games of choice, which are all battle royale games.

Destin and OG fans who are against BR are a bit annoying. First of all it's an option, extra game mode. You don't like it don't play it. It doesn't affect you to have an extra mode. Plus Halo would be the best sandbox for a BR game with it's vehicles.

Meh, while Battlefield looks fun, it's going to be filled with predatory microtransactions, no campaign, and charge you $70. Halo multi-player is free, battlepasses never expire and can be unlocked at any time, and even the campaign is included on gamepass
Ryan, 7 is too low of a score for The Ascent. 7, in IGN terms, is middling at best. This game is at least an 8. It's going to be in GOTY conversations because so many people love it. 8, at least, reflects how amazing it is while acknowledging its technical flaws.

That preview was trash how can you say it was great playing against bots These are the same people that will put out a review and have not played the beat campaign, it was nothing new and its so far behind what you should expect from halo! The battle pass was a Direct copy from Call of Duty and as a gamer battle passes should scare you away from predatory practices
After 30 hours on the tech preview I can confidently say this game has a major identity crisis, and will fall flat with the mainstream gaming scene as well as pro's...

This show is not the same without Ryan. Even though I like the regulars, Ryan’s voice and articulation is so much missed here.

In the 40+ matches I played across the weekend we never didn't get a steaktacular so I feel the bots could afford to have an even higher difficulty

the battle royal announcer thing could be there for forge and customs. I think that could be possible and if its made and popular 343 could improve on it and release it in the future. Personally i dont like battle royals so to me the less resources 343 puts into that mode the better
I started playing the ascent but deaths door has really grabbed my attention.
the banished are kind of the opposite of the covenant, they were born out of the heavy racism between brutes and elites in the covenant. when a member of the covenant commits an act of heresy, they go through a banishing ritual, basically an execution. The leader never believed in any religion and was the first to fight back against the ritual. the banished were a faction that was both an enemy of the covenant and humanity, both had no chance at taking them on. there basically a very big galactic group of mercenary's who belive that you earn what you earn.
The bots are self learning. From what I understand they will become better over time. You kind of notice that. Not every bot had the same level of intelligence in each game. Spartan bots felt like playing against Halo players. They would jump shot, crouch shot, strafe, actuate bounce grenades. I can’t wait to see where these bots go. Elite AI anyone?

Basically a clan of brutes were sent on suicide missions during the war and eventually one brute kept returning, and eventually they were scared of him rebelling so they went to execute them and he and the other brutes rebelled. After that they would raid covenant outposts and recruit any members who didn't wanna die. By the time of the end of the war they were about the same size as the covenant was

Hehe, you guys are like 180* off of what the Banished are. These guys were BANISHED from the covenant before the covenant died (there ARE loyalists groups of covenant still trying to maintain that, but they're not Banished). The initial group rebelled and then pragmatically gained resources and numbers via guerilla attacks on the Covenant.
More in depth: The leader, Atriox, was sent on countless suicide missions where all the other brutes died, until he got fed up and turned on the covenant. Lots of people joined him, and they were like a guerilla force against the covenant through the second half of the war. I think the interesting bit is that they AREN'T fanatical and seem to be quite willing to work with anyone who might help their cause, and so they've amassed quite the eclectic bunch of foces. Additionally, their weapons kind of mirror that aesthetic - they're brutal and kinetic like the brutes that lead them, but they're also cobbled together from UNSC and covenant tech that they scavenge off the battlefields much like the soldiers that make up their ranks (not that there are many humans among their number).
Unrelated: I would love a Halo Battle Royale... If we all played as grunts, escaping a wave of flood or a collapsing halo ring or an exploding covenant cruiser. Would love that.
The good in the infinite test flight was really good and the bad was small bugs and sounds design fixes that the devs can fix before release
I think that Halo Infinite will be a great multiplayer game that Microsoft has produced in the Halo's Franchise! It should be wonderful to play on PC!

Definitely think she missed out on Halo 1-Reach multiplayer when it was in its peak. Especially 3.

I didn’t play halo as the originally came out even though I had the original Xbox and 360 etc… It just didn’t appeal to me. When Master Chief Collection was announced I felt like the price to what I was getting was wordy trying it and I kinda liked it but when I tried Online I was terrible lol. I could never get with the controls in Halo no aim, no running etc… I started my FPS shooting with COD and I want to say by the time I played Halo I already played Battlefield which I think is the best of all 3 with the distraction mechanics. I thought I played all of master chief before halo 5 came out but I recently went back to HMCC to remind myself with the story that I didn’t understand the first time and it was a whole new game on it and it said I didn’t finish games lol so I started completely over beat 1 and 2 but in the middle of 2 or maybe 1 I realized halo is just a zombie game and not being a fan of zombies or the zombie games it really turned me off so I’m not sure how much ill play the campaign or the multi player. However i have gamepass and so its free so Ill give it shot but I really hope the flood isn’t in the new game I’m so tired of the zombie stuff and Ill see how it goes. I did enjoy seeing you all geek out about it!

Halo Infinite felt great. Still not having a release date is worrying though. Im guessing they are waiting for COD to announce so they can avoid the same week but we will see.

I hope they add a battle royal to Halo Infinite eventually.
The word "need" isn't necessarily the right word. Halo Infinite multiplayer is going to be a full multiplayer suite available on multiple platforms with crossplay and it is going to be free. It is clearly going to be successful as is. The question is, would including a battle royale mode make it even more successful? I think the answer is clearly yes.
My current expectation for Halo Infinite multiplayer is that I will download and play it on day one, I will dabble for maybe a few weeks, but then ultimately stop playing regularly and go back to my regular multiplayer games of choice, which are all battle royale games.

Destin and OG fans who are against BR are a bit annoying. First of all it's an option, extra game mode. You don't like it don't play it. It doesn't affect you to have an extra mode. Plus Halo would be the best sandbox for a BR game with it's vehicles.

Releasing along with Battlefield and Call of Duty. I don't know how well it will do with multiplayer. I like Halo but I really want to play Battlefield. Those large destructible maps look awesome.
Meh, while Battlefield looks fun, it's going to be filled with predatory microtransactions, no campaign, and charge you $70. Halo multi-player is free, battlepasses never expire and can be unlocked at any time, and even the campaign is included on gamepass
Ryan, 7 is too low of a score for The Ascent. 7, in IGN terms, is middling at best. This game is at least an 8. It's going to be in GOTY conversations because so many people love it. 8, at least, reflects how amazing it is while acknowledging its technical flaws.

That preview was trash how can you say it was great playing against bots These are the same people that will put out a review and have not played the beat campaign, it was nothing new and its so far behind what you should expect from halo! The battle pass was a Direct copy from Call of Duty and as a gamer battle passes should scare you away from predatory practices
