I feel bad for Kubo. The pressure from editors and the declining fanbase really hurt Bleach in the long run. At least Kubo and Bleach are getting the recognition they deserve.
All authors from long-running shounen series in Jump receive pressure from editors. This is no excuse. It's not like someone held a gun to Kubo's face and forced him to write for Jump. He was a grown ass man when he started and he and only he is responsible for his decisions.

You try getting up at 4 am every bloody day of every month and every year to draw and write manga panels to meet the deadlin. He tried his best and most fans did not appreciate it at the time. Its not the first time that happens just look what they did to Naruto ending the only reason kagua exists to set up for boruto and they ruined guy moment by keeping him alive the only reason he is alive because he was pupuler character so they forced kishimoto to keep him alive

As far as I know, you are the only one on youtube that addressed most of the serious critics I personaly had with the manga without being blinded by nostalgia, specially with its downfall. As someone that grew up with Naruto and began following the manga weekly near Pain and Jiraya's fight, I felt the same frustations you had with the kage summit and the ninja war. Most fans dislike the Kaguya plot twist, but that is the low hanging fruit imo. Naruto was doomed when Kishi made Sasuke, his clan and all of that Sharingan nonsense more important than Naruto to the plot, making his own protagonist's story andafter thought own his manga. The ninja jesus profecy was his way of making Naruto central again, but with was not the right way to do it. Anyways, good luck on your youtube career. I would personally still make Naruto Critic content, as that seems like a good niche that few people are exploring.

Bleach's biggest strength is the characters, especially in the first 3 sagas. They have a lot of interactions and the chemistry between Ichigo and Rukia is so good because time has been invested by the author to make their bond feel real for the audience so that when she's captured by the "system" for helping him, we as the audience, encourage the protagonist to go and save her. It was a character driven story and even the soul society arc managed to make a good complex arc with a political intrigue and nuanced characters that are far better fleshed out than any Naruto character.... I will not talk about the flaws of the manga because this isn't a video about that but i liked the fact that the protagonists were real protagonists with moral dilemmas and reasons to fight (Uryu, Byakuya, Renji and Kenpachi), even Ichigo for the most part but ... Ichigo is a boring main character. I have to say it guys, i'm literally still a Bleach fan whom remembers the good days but i was never hyped by this character because he was driven only by the plot which often consists on helping a female character (a ghost, Rukia, Orihime and Neil) and having his ass kicked most of the time. Plus the author didn't give him a lot of personality, he is average, doesn't have something to be remembered by, he isn't funny or good at anything else except fighting, in terms of aesthetic, he looks really good since he is tall and jacked and not just a small annoying brat (I do not include Luffy) but the fact is : He isn't central to the story at all, most people would rather see more of Kenpachi, Hitsugaya, Byakuya and Komamura. This guy just reacts to bad things happening to him or his entourage, which isn't entertaining, he has no real goals and doens't evolve as a person through the series, the Ichigo you see in the first arc is the same you see in the final arc, he just got cooler zanpakutos and bankai. Do not get me wrong, Naruto is far worse as a main character since he's a stupid hypocrite fuck, but damn, we need the main characters to evolve within the story, seeing guys doing always the same thing is no longer entertaining, especially when the plot ... Honestly I think Bleach gets too much hate. Do not get me wrong I am not a huge Bleach fan,but at least Kubo tried to take his story seriously and give it a satisfying conclusion, unlike Kishimoto. And I would not call Ichigo average or boring. He wants to protect his friends and family which is a pretty good goal.

The thing about a main character is that : - He must evolve as a person, for the better or the worse when things happen. - He must drive the plot forward and NOT being driven forward by the plot (active VS passive). - We, as the audience, should see the world with HIS point of view the most and thus, learn by his POV that how the universe works. - Establish a clear contrast between him and the one thing he stands against with visuals. - Make him grounded enough to be believable by the audience. The thing with Ichigo is that he is boring, very boring. Everything he stands for is terribly shallow and thus, his fights are weightless. Ichigo and Aizen have hardly seen each other or talked to each other, Aizen is a good villain while Ichigo is terrible, which creates a void where the most interesing people are the ones whom aren't given the spotlight + Bleach doesn't denounce anything, it doesn't have that philosophical, political talk that everyone else has, which handicaps Ichigo. Ah, the series people got into initially because every character looked so cool😂. That stylish intro was also hyper creative. Aizen being Kubo is also FORESHADOWING 🤣
the main issue with Bleach in general is that the arcs keep repeating. Introduce MC Introduce good guy introduve bad guy Have the bad guy kick the shit out of him Have MC train a bunch MC is like I HAVE TO WIN MC gets help from the masked man. MC says he doesnt need the mask or is afraid of it and yet always uses it in some way. MC does some more training. Everyone remarks on how much stronger MC is. MC fights the main/strongest bad guy and wins by getting help from mask. Ichigo never won a single fight on his own against someone who mattered. Either the oponent is already wounded or isnt giving it their all to kill him. And yes he does have flaws as everyone says but by the end you just want him to shut up about how he has to save X character or the world. BTW Orihime arc was so annoying cuz she was literally a damsel in distress who just waited for Ichigo to save her. The issue tho is that they could have given Yusuto Sado (the two different fists human) something to do. I really wished he was the one who saved her. But na..MC has to be the one to beat the main badie Every single time.
the rumors about Kubo being force to end it are false. Kubo ended the manga on his own accord so a sick child could see it ending before he died. Bleach got bad, really bad, but I can't see it worse than Naruto. Naruto went full fanfiction post Pain arc. Bleach did stupid shit like having many deus ex machina power ups but never went full fanfiction like retconning the entire premise of the show by making Naruto a literal God out of nowhere.
The kaga summon arc is really good and that exists just to keep guy alive the only reason he is alive because he was pupuler character Naruto and bleach suffers the same problem the ending begins rushed because the creator being tired and rushed and health problems as well

As for the bleach anime getting canceled before the final arc in the manga it sucked that happen but it happens in the industry sometimes adaptions get cancelled before the story concludes in the manga but I'm glad where getting a anime adaption to finally finish the story I love.
I thought Bleach was fun, but not great. My major pet peeve was that the villains and abilities were very repetitive. It was hard for me to distinguish Hollows, and with the Shinigami (and by extension, Arrancar) had a strict pattern to their abilities that became rather predictable. “I hope Ichigo’s mother isn’t a red herring; I don’t think I could go through that again” I guess we can make PTKD: Post Traumatic Kushina Syndrome

As for the bleach anime getting canceled before the final arc in the manga it sucked that happen but it happens in the industry sometimes adaptions get cancelled before the story concludes in the manga but I'm glad where getting a anime adaption to finally finish the story I love.

I feel like I could take literally any arc in bleach and write a 9/10 story around it
I thought Bleach was fun, but not great. My major pet peeve was that the villains and abilities were very repetitive. It was hard for me to distinguish Hollows, and with the Shinigami (and by extension, Arrancar) had a strict pattern to their abilities that became rather predictable.
