    I love how she says "thank you " every time she cuts a beet/plant.. it's like she's honoring mother earth and is full of gratitude for what this food will be giving to her body... ❤️❤️❤️

    Hi Wendi, I have never grown beets, I need to try this fall here in Central Florida, when it gets cooler, you had a great harvest and the colors are so vibrant!

      Thank you Peg! I was supervised to see how shallow beets can grow in. Would love to see how I can make a little patch in full sun for them when it gets cooler.

    Great video! I planted beets for the first time last fall. I planted them way too densely, and didn't get any big beets, but the greens were good. They're starting to go to seed now, so I'm going to collect them and try again.

      Yeah thinning beets out is very helpful for beetroots to grow. Nevertheless, the leaves are really tasty like you said!

    You inspired me to 'try and see' and experiment. I tend to learn first, spending time watching videos/reading and doing the right way using the right containers etc..that I end up'transplanting seedlings too late etc. I still have not got it right with fertilizers in containers and ground yet. So I will play it by ear, for the time being I am just using DIY egg shell powder/banana peel powder/orange peel powder and bought bone meal - put a bit of each in the hole. I might have to get some vermi compost though not sure their benefits. Here in Alberta, Canada with a short growing season it is challenging! I certainly will try beets in small containers for sure. Honestly the beets in the tower.. amazing!

      I caught you a little late, but the good thing about root crops and brassicas is you can get them in the ground up to a month or two (if the ground is workable before the last frost). I am in southern Ontario which is a few zones down, but I also have a short growing season. Then when it gets warm enough they will germinate.

    Hi Wendi! 1st visit to your outstanding channel! Yahoo ~ my 7 Tier #Greenstalk was just delivered today and I am over the moon with joy to see you grew such beautiful beets in your #MrStacky! I am just having so much fun sowing seeds for now in reused flower pots and ice cream plastic gallon containers to get myself away from watching so much depressing news! Thank you so very much and it warmed my heart your give your plants Thanks! Happy Fall 2022 from Washington State!

    Great video again. We're experimenting too with growing beets this year. In the ground. Soil was cool for so long even though it's Florida, the veggies took awhile to begin to take off. Might try the container method next year/later this year. With food prices going through the roof, your videos of planting in small spaces are very useful for people.

      When growing in containers you can move them to warm spot freely. You must be in northern part of FL. It’s been a cool spring for us, which means plants grow super slow in the shade for me.

    Hello Ms. Phan! I’m a new subscriber and really love the content. My daughter and I have one small hoop house raised bed and garden box on our patio. The hoop house has a yellow pepper and pepperoncino pepper. So far the pepperoncino is fruiting the yellow pepper no yet. Here in Austin, Texas it’s been way over 106 degrees and I noticed you had a video on a shade canopy which my daughter and I will experiment with this weekend. Thank you again!

    • @wendiland
      @wendiland  2 года назад +3

      I used worm castings, rock dusk, 4-4-4 Climate Gard, and few others in the mix. Kelp seaweed extract diluted in water 1-2 times monthly. At times I’d brew tea as well. Will get more in the details in a video coming soon. :)
