    i didnt realize that cooldown also impacted the bolt! also something about hip firing into a closet is very badass

      best way to work with small living spaces and also keep spent BBs... in the closet. My local range is now a multipurpose space so I haven't made much content there

    A bit unrelated but, I'm interested in getting a Zenitco style knob for a W&S steel bolt, given the shape of its charging handle would an RP-5 be the right choice for it? Thank you!

      @commiebearairsoft859  11 месяцев назад +1

      I designed several 3D printed inserts to correct for the angle of the W&S BCG if you have a 5KU replica RP-1 knob though the RP-5 should work but don't quote me on that. I don't have any v2 W&S BCGs on hand and a RP-5 knob to test with on my person currently

      Yeah, I have actually, and foolishly, bought a 5KU RP-1 replica only to find that it did not fit at all.
      So, on those 3D printed inserts you've mentioned is there a way to buy those from you? Thanks again.

      I don't sell these, most of my designs are available for free. I would suggest asking around friends with a 3D printer to print afew off cuz there might be some trial and error involved in getting it to fit

      Look at the power reading, the power is all over the place. Technically by mag 2 I should have already stopped the test since the power had declined significantly 1.5J >> 1J which wouldn't have any practical accuracy

    • @commiebearairsoft859
      @commiebearairsoft859  11 месяцев назад +3

      This is not a good question to ask, since the QC issues were very specific to the v2 and the OEM responsible for manufacturing them.
      For the most bit the v3 seems to be free of any kind of QC issues but there are design issues which I will go over in the next video.

    @dariodeak 10 месяцев назад

    I’m still trying to figure out if you’re joking? I appreciate your videos but when you say “it’s completely dead, just dead” you’re making people think the gun is actually dead. Which is not. I thought it was frozen shut and not operable any more. Which is absolutely NOT the case here. - the power and accuracy is affected yes but hardly different from any other gbbr after numerous mag dumps. -- the important thing is that this Ak could just keep going indefinitely. And if you were using better gas (co2 or even hpa it) even the power would hardly be affected.

    • @commiebearairsoft859
      @commiebearairsoft859  10 месяцев назад +1

      When I say it's "dead" it wasn't really objective, when I shot this video I was more concerned about the out-of-box failure rate and how many mags it took to kill the hopup.
      I wasn't really set out to do a cooldown test and didn't really set any failure conditions to stop the test, because in Hong Kong we rarely ever run our GBBRs hard enough to see visible performance drops and CO2 nor DH mod are a thing here in Hong Kong due to the warmer operating environments. I should mention that testing using CO2 and HPA aren't in my domain since these aren't widely proliferated; you could wait on Explosive Enterprises' and BadaBing's full videos but their early verdict could corroborate my own findings that their v3 AKM couldn't retain stable power output.
      Several guys in HRC have pointed out there are some issues with how I managed to induce the issues observed in the magdump though, and also how I should set some failure conditions in a possible redo of the test.
      1) Explosive Enterprises mentioned to me that mags were over-gassed, leading to the nozzle having some residue pressure due to liquid propane and inducing overchambering. This explains some of the shots that just rolled off.
      2) I'll probably redo this test in semi-auto to rule out cooldown and whether the hop unit has indeed failed, I posted elsewhere that my hop unit has failed which might be leading to failure to seal
      3) Explosive Enterprises too noticed that the nozzle was slamming into the hop bucking
      Post-video observations:
      1) EE and BB both could confirm the v3's poor gas efficiency. I suspect it's due to the stronger recoil spring and also GHK's lazy attempt to copy the W&S FCG but they didn't add the stepped end of the W&S BCG to their own to travel over the curved hammer with least resistance
      2) My hopup unit failed in a post-mortem examination, the alignment ribs were mangled
      Improvement areas:
      1) Probably set a threshold on how much power drop is acceptable before ending the test. I don't see the point of continuing the test with such a heavily compromised power output and propane blasting into my face
      2) Weight my gas input per mag. Alot of work but GHK AK mags to do typically hold ~18g, so that I don't overfill
