I know I'm probably older than your target audience (I'm 42) but when I've had a bad day, your videos and the joy you exude always makes me smile. I only found you a couple of months ago but I am so happy that I did.

The juxtaposition of the classy French music and the knife with no tip is one of the most “classic Mia” things on this channel. 🔪😘🥰
Tip: only chop off one end of the veggie when using the mandolin. That way you have something to hold onto (if you're not going the use the holder that comes with it). 😊
Good tip! Those are no joke. My SIL sliced the entire tip of her finger straight off on a mandolin!! She too disregarded the safety holder.

ive used one of these before too. but so far my fingers are all safe. no bits sliced off
Tbh I've used a mandolin without a safety holder many times but never got even a cut and I'm only 15 been using mandolin for about 3 years now
The tip is to just be attentive and know when to stop 😊
Cool tip: When cutting onions you can wet a paper towel and place it on your cutting board to help with the crying! Onion fumes go to the nearest water source so if you just put a closer source of water other than your eyes then it helps with the crying! 😊

And if you don't want to use the sauce from the casserole, maybe cook the sauce you use for garnish, since it has raw garlic and onion, it must be pretty strong! Do more cooking videos! 😁

A tip for peeling peppers: When they're still hot, place them in a bowl and cover with plastic wrap for about 10 minutes. After 10 minutes the skins should peel right off pretty much in one piece.
Idea for a series: mía recreating food of animated movies, diney's AND may I suggest studio ghibli's movies! The animation and drawings of the food is just.... Chef's kiss ( no pun intendeed)
As french, the Rémy's ratatouille, is more like a vegetable tian (dish from the south-east france) but shhhhh, still beautiful and yuuum

As apt a name as "vegetable guillotine" is for it, that machine is actually called a mandoline slicer lol
Tip: put the peppers into a plastic bag when you remove from the oven and tie top. Then when they have cooled the skins come off easier.

I used to think Ratatouille was like a ravioli/lasagna type dish when I was younger so I thought it looked so tasty but finding out it was made of vegetables was severely disappointing 😅

If you search up "SORTEDFOOD ratatouille recipe" that is the best way to make it and its so delicious. Mia skipped a lot of steps because it tried to replicate what we saw in the movie. If you follow that websites way its honestly so delicious, without any cheese or meat, just add baguette bread to it.
If it’s made well and seasoned really well it’s genuinely delicious, and this comes from a solid meat lover! Think like the worlds greatest marinara sauce with texture and more zing. It’s really good

I want to make this now!! Also tip for cutting onion, wet a piece of paper towel or just a regular dish towel and place it next to your chopping board. The water from the towel will be the closest source instead of your eyeballs!

There are carbs in all vegetables 🤗, just the amount varies.
Also the more cooked vegetable is, the more carbs it has (same with rice, pasta etc.). Type 1 diabetic for 22 years here. 😀😅

When I was in elementary school, I watched this cartoon so often that I knew every phrase by heart. And even when I watched Ratatouille in English (I'm Russian), I remembered the translation and understood everything that the characters say
I’ve always been a big disney fan. So was my mom! We always watched the movies together, and for the past few years we started rewatching them with my son. The three of us watched disney movies almost every weekend. Ratatouille was one of the faves! Unfortunately my mom passed away 3 months ago.. one of the last movies we watched together was ‘Soul’… ❤️ timing right…?
