Yes, the plan was created so that the ambient light would be generated, but the object would only illuminate, the floor would illuminate, but it would not generate a shadow. @@flo.motion

@@flo.motion I tracked camera, then I have put the model, and it appears really small - almost invisible on the solid. So I had to scale it up a lot - and I think it cause the shadow is invisible too (after such a big scaling), but I don't know how to fix it.

@@flo.motionno dear he is right ur mirror reflection is ok right but the part of bottom mirror there refrection was incorrect, u should use turbulence displace for mimic that area realistic reflection ❤

Hallo Boris, I need your help, if possible ^^ I discovered that for a same file, according it's complexity and weight, I may see the 3D object in AE. I did the 3D file myself and it is heavy one (1,4GB), if I export only one part as GLB file and import it in AE, it works. If I do the same for the whole piece, which is 500Mo as GLB file, I will see an empty box in AE. So I wonder how I can reduce the size and complexity of my model... thank you !
Not sure why you call me Boris, but anyways... most of the time AE just needs some time caching such a large file! Smaller textures help... but also your patience helps!!

But after make a few videos, now I can see the Animation Options, but once I expand the option I see "Name" at the left sice but not the the combo component where select the possibles actions.
There is a bit of flickering going on in the T-Rex shadow. I wonder if some of the polygons of the TRex are letting light through intermittently. Perhaps it's a render settings issue (maybe the settings on the precomped TRex, since you did crank up the shadow settings within the precomp). Seeing if you found a solution, or if it's a limitation to the 3D built into AE?

update: i just update my AE to the latest version of beta, and the shadow still not showing 🙁 but when i creating a comp without clip, just dropping my 3d model, camera, solid and environment light, theres no problem, the shadow is visible

Sir you don't have to do this much effort just to put the shadow.
Just check the 3d on background layer and the shadow will come automatically.

What exactly do you mean? You can copy paste the solide Position or manually reposition it

If you just drop a glb format file into Ae it will accept and come into the scene ? Duh 3ds max doesnt export GLB. Always complicated. Hmmm.
Blender does. You can convert all files with bender. And AE also accepts obj!!

You need to have an environment light!! That’s the only one that creates a shadow

update: i try in a new comp, without using any clips and camera tracking. the shadow is visible

How do you mask the dinosaur in the mirror? There is no track matte for 3D layers!
I did exactly that... create a solid in 3d space and used that as a track matte

hey, you can retime it or use time remapping for it! In the dropdown for the animation you see exactly how long it is!
