Nice lil set of books and a good look at that show. There was a book you flipped past I just added to my want list. It was Incredible Hulk 124 with the Rhino. I have a couple Hulk issues with match-ups against Juggernaut and Rhino.
I bag and board all my convention programs too. Especially since I started getting them signed years ago. Had to get creative for the larger ones when I didn't have enough to fit their size.

Did you notice that House of Secrets #123 9.6 sold on eBay for $2K? A few weeks prior to that sale I fluke bought a 9.2raw for $300 😅 Don't think anyone is going to sell those cheaply for a good while.
I don't understand the HOS 123 prices. A 9.4 sold for $1400 last week. I can't imagine those prices will hold. Good pickup on the 9.2.
I'd say the reason why it's popular is
1.) it's one of the most graphic covers of the bronze Age horror in comic format (excluding magazines)
2.) it's not a monotonous skull cover cliche.
If I see another skull cover I may flip a table over 😓
But you're right. These prices probably won't hold in this bear market.
Hello, i was also there that day! Lots of cool comics for sure! I even bought some comics, but was sad to see how much some dealers were charging over FMV! I had a good time.

Good to see you there Rob! I think the NFL draft could have possibly been a factor too as far as the low crowd, there were a ton of people downtown at that time. I didn’t get any big books either, the booth I saw you at had a comico primer 9.6 slab that I was interested in and he wanted $3500!! What do you even say to that, it’s like double the fmv on a 9.8 😂. The bigger guy that was there with all the bigger keys had a Marvel Team Up #1, raw, that was maybe a 9.0, 9.2 at best. He wanted $400, I was like okay, guess I’ll shop for moderns today.
Hi Jay. Good point about the draft. Was really disheartening to see all the crazy prices. It's like we time warped back to 2021/22. 🤷♂️
I have been very careful buying back issues to avoid paying above FMV. I also cut back buying new releases because prices are getting high. Still great books out there to purchase! Just have to be more patient.
Patience is definitely one of the keys, but also looking in lots of different places. The deals are out there, but a little hard to find right now. Thanks for watching!

@@rhmidwestcomics No. I favor smaller shows and lower grade comics. I will do trades from my collection, but my budget does not really favor higher grade books for cash.

You say "Ka-Zar" as if you're saying K-Mart. It's not K-Zar it's "Ku-Zar!" As in "Ku" but Ka-Zar! Nice pick ups and and I like your arcade games. 😅
Appreciate the comments. I don't think anyone knows for sure the correct way to pronounce his name, as I hear many people say it both ways. I'm ok with either. Thanks for noticing my arcade games. I have a new one arriving in a couple months.
I just found your comic book channel, i used to be a comicbook channel but i went away for awhile, thinking of getting back into it and being part of the community once more, if there's even a community to come back to.
