    You will spend a small fortune in ice keeping something that size cold. The IBC is a great solution, but use an aquatic chiller.

    Love your projects. I just picked one up for $70 Canadian on FB Marketplace and plan to build my cladding from old fence boards and pressure treated 2x4 beams to really keep the cost down.. The guy who sold it to me was using it for the last 5 years to collect rainwater from his gutter to feed his vegitable garden. When I got home, I noticed a very faint sticker on the side denoting that it once contained BASF Gardoclean s 5192. I am wondering if anyone out there knows IF after 5 years of containing water and a very good cleaning / bleaching by me, would this be dangerous to use as an Ice Bath. Or am I pretty much in the clear buy now?
    Update: I built it. Cleaned it with power washer and bleach. Used Old Fence boards. Looks fantastic. My kids use it continuously. Weather is below 0-c now and my family uses it even more. Great project. Thank You for edging me forward with your ideas. Would post a photo or video here if there was a way.

    Hi Mike, cheers for the great video! Is this ice bath still going strong? I have a couple of questions on the build if you have a sec.
    First possibly a silly question, but why did you cut the metal frame (at 0.39) could you not have built your wooden frame up to this height and then the plastic tub would be a bit recessed, as you add wood inside the frame too (at 3.40).
    Secondly, what did you end up using to keep the water clean?
    Thanks!

    • @MikeHindMBE
      @MikeHindMBE  Год назад +1

      Hey budd... i cut it because 1. it would have been too high, and 2. because i wanted a flat top... lastly the plastic inner starts to curve just above this point so this way allowed me to have everything flust and seated right.
      I changed the water tbh, although someone did comment on here on a great way to keep the water clean with a filter and pump.
      Good luck with yours and let me know how you decide to go with the height ect x
