I really like your plunge videos. Thank you for documenting your build. I am wondering if after dealing with the original drain valve leaks, would you reconsider using it to exclusively drain water. I’ve been inspired and have found my ibc tote and will begin construction once I decide on the plumbing system.

Thank you for watching! I haven’t had any issues with leaking at that fitting since I switch to a better quality plumbing tape and re-plumbing/moving the stairs. Now that it’s not leaking I have no reservations about using the drain as part of the plumbing to recirculate water. In fact it still makes the most sense and easiest for plumbing.

Great build. Can you tell me about the VEVOR Chiller? I see it on Amazon at $636. Looks like a great price for a chiller that large. I wanted to know what you think of it. I noticed it looks like a knock-off of the EcoPlus 1.5HP. How cold does it get, any maintenance issues?

Yea it’s an awesome deal. Very happy with mine! I haven’t tested the cold limit but reports from other users are 36°. Zero issues with mine so far!

What pump and filter did you use to compliment the 1500gph Vevor 1.4hp? I see people have used the Intex C1000 but Im not sure if thats enough.

All the parts that used are listed in the description of the original cold plunge video.

Danner 1500gph pump and culligan water filter. I don’t recommend the culligan filter. I’d go with the GE filter
