Your devotional was right on cue. As senior citizens, health and anxiety work hand in hand. I have always had anxiety attacks, especially when it came to my family’s health. My old house is also a cause for anxiety, as something is always in need of repair. Mu husband was my rock. He always calmed me down. I am glad that Calvin did so well. I am sure that his happy active life was a part of that. I don’t need a reply, just rest and get better. Love and blessings to you both.

I had it done when I was 19 years old. They told me I was the second youngest having it done. I had just had my son. I have a 7 inch scar Didn't have it the way you did Calvin. 😬
Yes, I remember when Marie's mother had hers removed and she also had a long cut on her side. I'm thankful that they have the new surgery techniques to make it easier for people to have this surgery.

Laparoscopy is definitely a better way to go, you’ll definitely heal much quicker. They diagnosed my husband’s gallstones with an ultrasound. Marie, it’s easy to get in a ball of nerves because we are human. One thing that helps me is to be in the moment and to not let my mind race ahead with, “what if”.

I had that surgery in 1992 ...you do recover quicker but it still feels like someone reach in and ripped your gallbladder out it doesn't last long. Prayers

Thank you Calvin for sharing your story, my wife and I are very thankful for your Drs and how ell you are healing up. My Dad had elective Gall Bladder Surgery when he was in his eighty’s but unfortunately he never returned to his home. I always felt something went wrong with his Anesthesia as he just slept after his surgery when he was supposed to return home that afternoon. When I returned in the morning he was sitting up in bed, had eaten his breakfast, was bright eyed and immediately asked me to go buy a newspaper that he enjoyed. Shortly after I returned a nurse started checking his oxygen level and had him do breathing exercises. Something was now wrong and he was taken to the ICU…eventually passing away. So sudden as he was active for his age, mentally as sharp as ever but we will never know what happened. Again, we are thankful for your successful surgery, you and Marie take care of each other🙏

Calvin that Gallbladder surgery is quite common. I had it done back when they had to "split" you open. Still, it went like a breeze for me. I knew as soon as you said you had chicken strips and FF and chili to eat that's what kicked up your pain. Anything with grease, or spicy food or gravy will do that. So sorry you had to go through it. My husband says, Anything that taste good, isn't good for you. It seems that way for sure. Talking from experience, you will be back to good health soon. Just Rest.

Calvin I am happy your surgery was successful. You will be feeling better in no time. My husband had a similar experience. He knew he had gallstones but each attack would pass. His last attack didn’t quit so he got worked in to see his primary care doctor. He sent him straight to the ER and called ahead to let them know he was coming. After the surgery the surgeon told him his gallbladder was gangrene and spreading to his pancreas. If he had not had the surgery he would have died. So thankful for knowledgeable surgeons. I truly enjoy watching you and Marie’s videos and look forward to each one.

Marie, no one can be happy 24, 7 days a week. Be yourself. Calvin, I hope you will get to feeling better soon. I deal with gall bladder problems too and I just try to deal with it, but I know one day I will have to have surgery. Please pray for my nephew's wife mother, she passed away. She had a stomach aneurysm and then had a heartache. She was really a part of our family, we all loved Nana so much and she will be missed so much. Yall take care have a great week. Thank you for saying that gall bladder surgery is not that bad because I am really scared of any kinda of medical surgery, but who is not scared of medical things. Marie, life is tough for so many, and it is so hard at times, be yourself. I am 70, and when I moved all my boxes, I really realized how old I really am. Thank God for helping me get moved, at least I moved before it got so hot. I could of asked for help but I try to be so independent and not ask or bother anyone.

If I had known that it was my gall bladder causing my pain then I would have scheduled the removal surgery earlier. I thought that all of the pain was being caused from problems with my other surgery on my stomach. I'm glad that it's over. I've been eating for two days now without any pain, Praise the Lord.

I have been praying for Calvin and you too Marie. You haven't been feeling good either and need strength to care for him. I'm surprised you are home already. My first husband had his gallbladder out in 1983 and he was in the hospital almost a week. He had a big cut across his abdomen if I remember right. Calvin, Rest and don't do anything your not supposed to and don't worry about doing videos. Calvin, I am going to scold you for bending over. You are not supposed to that and no picking anything heavy up.

Calvin, I am glad you are doing well. I had the gall bladder laparoscopic surgery. Mine went well too. The hardest part was not being able to pick up our 1 year old granddaughter. She didn't understand. She had to sit by me on our couch. ♥️. Marie you are such a sweet wife. Was so nice y'all could face time. Marie you always look pleasant. Praying for both of you! 🙏♥️🙏

So sorry you've been ill. My brother recently went through this and it was easy and he is fine.
Please pray for us our mom died a week ago. She and I were very close, I was her caregiver as well. I am probably going to lose my home, I am praying I don't. Thank you and God Bless you.

So glad you are home and that you are doing well. I had one gall bladder attack, which hit me at like 2 or 3 in the morning. The pain was so bad I asked God to just take me. Thankfully He blessed me to have an excellent surgeon who did that endoscopy surgery to me. It is SO much easier for them to do that from how they used to do it, and much faster recovery time. Be kind to yourself in allowing yourself to heal. I love your videos, but if you just want to do Sunday Chats for awhile, that is 100% okay. We can wait until your better to have you do all your regular weekly videos. ❤️🙏🏻

I know when I had laparoscopic surgery, I tried not to bend over too much or lift things, so take it easy, Calvin. And Marie, keep up on your health as well. God IS great, and we all need to keep in mind his Word and that He is in control when going through our lives. Take care.

Calvin, wishing you a speedy recovery. Several years ago I went in for what was supposed to be day surgery & was supposed to be laparoscopic surgery for gall bladder. I was only granted 1 day off from work. Things didn’t work out that way. I ended up surgery with huge scar, & 2 blood transfusions & 2 nights in hospital. Recovery was hard also. Marie you are looking so pretty today, I guess you are doing something different with your makeup. You just have a glow.
