Thanks for answering my question regarding 8" vs 9" tires. I ran the 8.00 & dominated the field, roughly 0.5s faster every lap than p2. Inverted the field & past 7 Karts in 4 laps to get P1 and stayed out front
Would love to see a part two describing different track conditions for example dry slick, hard packed and taking rubber, soft, etc and general approaches to each of those conditions.
Came here to say the same thing. My local track is always different but always starts out either way wet because they just watered it before hot laps or it’s really dry and dusty and I come off the track looking like I just drove down a dusty gravel road!
Hey Ben I race down in the south and the couple tracks I rum on is a Vega yellow track,I've gotten it down to prep those but this new track I've been running at is open tire track but all the fast guys are running maxxis, I have a couple sets of maxxis pinks n blues but don't know how to properly prep them to compete with the big guys and what you want them to punch and also air pressure to run in them, I run track tac preps and I just wanted to see if you had any advice on what to do or how to prep them where I can get them to stick and compete with everyone else any advice I would greatly appreciate
I really wanna answer this question with as much information as possible. I’m going to talk with some of my southern folk and get it right before I make a video. I’ll shoot for sooner then later on the video.
General rule of thumb is a harder tire for a harder track and higher air pressure/a softer tire for a softer track and lower air pressure BUT every track surface, chassis manufacturer, tire brand, etc. is different so this IS NOT a guarantee just something for the one's new to karting to at least have a little info to get started. Thanks for the info Ben 👍 Much Appreciated
Every day spent on the track testing one learns to write/read one letter. Each race one learns two letters. With time one masters an Alphabet. Then comes the Reading. Then one will be writing poems (reading track, reading opponents, fighting for podiums). Just keep on!

That’s great!!! Awesome job.

That is possible. Definitely have to do some before and after footage.

Yes. I/we can make general ideas of what to do but only experience is going to convert that to a winning decision.
Hi ben can you make a video on driver focus and reaction on the track
I’ll write that one down.

Nice analogy. 👍
