I use shipping scales from Amazon. They have a display with a cord. I can sit in the kart and see all 4 screens. $50 each. They get it done and I scale before every race. It is very consistent.
Love the information you give, im still racing if you would like to try asphalt, i race microstocks full body, full caged gokarts, we race on dirt and asphalt, my last 2 races are on pavement, Poughkeepsie Speedway NY, and wall stadium NJ, im a big guy i know you wouldnt have a problem in these, id love to see and hear your take on different types of kart racing, flat, champ, spints, 1/4 midget, microstocks, you are doing an awesome job have fun and enjoy
I shimmed up my scales with plywood to be 1 1/2” high and place the kart on 2’ lengths of 2x6. One under each wheel and place the scales where I can roll on and roll off without lifting the kart. I use I weigh race app all the time. It does all the math for you.
I have used them in the past until I got a set of digital. Yes they are close. I went to Walmart and bought 4 alike scales for cheap. I think they were like $45 total for the four. I have a set of proform scales now. They are a little less expensive.

Appreciate the offer. And thank you for watching
The end of the season always bums me out too!
Agreed
Was hoping for some basic percentage recommendations
What year and type of chassis do you have? I have some base numbers I start with depending on year especially.

Coool.
Are you coming to motorama in Harrisburg in February?
I’ve never been. If I do probably wouldn’t race.
I scale dry because I feel that I want the kart at its best with low fuel at the end of the race.
Great point
