  • Grip is the most important technique to shooting a pistol. Even if your stance is suffering, the proper grip will ensure rounds are on target. The grip I will be giving tips on is geared towards your traditional striker-fired or 1911-style pistol.

Everything we see in this land is a spinoff from the word of GOD, without GODS word there would be no structure here.
You cannot build in the dark, you can only create off the master of creation which is the father by way of Jesus christ and the workings of the holy spirit. Satan imitates GOD and spins it too a negative light, he is not original, he is the overgrown child in the school of life who flunks out every yr and has to return too cheat yet again. There is no truth in him he spins off the truth to create deception, he disguises himself as an angel of light but yet he is full of darkness.
For every 1 truth he brings 100 lies, he copies from the mind of GOD but yet gives the father no credit. 😒 He is full of deception, deceit and trickery and this entire world seems too be running after his ways 😔 GOD with his finger wrote on the tablets the commandments for man the knowledge of sin, and now today you have tablets that you glide across with your finger but there would be no tablet today if it wasn't spent off the original. Genesis marks the beginning of the bible and satan.... I mean sega liked it so much they made a genesis also. Moses was joyous too see that GOD had budded aarons rod, because whichever rod budded was whom the lord chose. When moses saw the rod it had sprouted forth budds, blossomed and plus it had almonds on it so in a mocking and blaspheming way they now produce candy called almond joy. The bible says in matthew 5:37 (KJV) but let you communications be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay; for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil. So why last yr during the ronald mcdonald trumps "impeachment" did the house of representatives hijack the same thing for their session? They steal everything from the brainwork of GOD and they give him no credit 😌 The Lord in the book of judges ch7 broke his army down from 32,000 too 300 to go too war with gideon, showing how he weeds out and also how he can do much with little, then hollywood spins off this event and gives you the movie 300. No credit to GOD of course 😊
In the book of Ruth 4:7 it states that when men where confirming change and redeeming they would take one shoe off and give it too his neighbor, now the masons in our time hijack this one shoe covenant and place it in their rituals and the eastern stars which is the female branch of the masons placed it in thier "sacrifices". They spint off Jesus and the 12 disciples and gave you the distraction santa and the 12 reindeer. The 1st court appearance if you say was in the garden, they disobeyed and GOD head adams ple, adam called eve up too the stand and GOD heard her ple and satans jibber jabber, then he handed down jus punishment too them all. GOD is so far that he had 3 or more witnesses to assure that the situation was assessed properly, the father, the son and the holy spirit. 😇 1st samuel 11:2 nahash the ammonite told GOD's people that he would make a covenant with them if they allowed him to pluck thier right eye out, now hollywood does the one eye symbolism to signify they have abandoned the faith and made a covenant with heathen ways.

When you said "marry the thumbs" I laughed because I refer to it as "spooning the thumbs" when I teach! Regarding crossing the thumbs, the most blood I have ever seen at the range was from an elderly man. Big mitts on the man ANNNNNNDDDD on perscription blood thinners. I get the eeeeebbie jeeeeebbies when I see crossed thumbs! Great job on a comprehensive video. Looking forward to more content from you!

Taylor, this is great and I grip my guns the same way. But, Imagine your hands over twice the size of yours. I have to be very cognizant of things like riding the slide stop. I find it easy to shoot my CZ 75 variants with safeties, but with my SP01, I have to move my left thumb (I am a righty) as the slide stop is a bit longer and I tend to unconsciously ride the slide stop. When I switch to my Sig P229, it is really a problem and to the point I have a gunsmith working on a solution. Small hands are tough, but really big hands are tough as well...

I have large hands that are also arthritic so I don't shoot as much as I used to because it just wasn't very pleasant. I tried changing my grip to this and found that with more surface area on the grip it helped to reduce the impact force to my hands by distributing the energy across a larger area which made it hurt less and I could shoot longer.

I tend to grip this way until I start slacking. Then having large hands with thumbs flopping around past the slide release sometimes causes pressure on the release.

I like to grip my weapon loosely with my right hand with about a 45 degree tilt on it to the left and a 15 degree angle downward while with my left hand I like to make a sort of “W” with my fingers. It really helps with the recoil. For the more advance I recommend to do this all the same but with your bandana pulled half way over your eyes while in a moving car. As always the best way to practice this method is to use a suburban street with people all around so you can visually see all the people so they don’t get in the way.
So what are your thoughts on this method? Would you like to arrange for me to teach a class?

There is more than one two handed technique although the mechanics should stay the same for proper grip with any technique. The two most common techniques are thumbs forward and thumb over thumb. The thumbs forward advantage is control of side to side recoil movement. The thumb over thumb advantage is added control of up and down recoil movement. See video below.

She's claimed before to be either 1 or 2 inches shorter than her shotgun, that makes her either 4'10 or 4'11. She claims 105 pounds, and with her muscular but lithe build, I could see that.
