Yeah, this was Penders/Flynn Sonic; Penders wrote a douchey Sonic and Flynn had to pick up the pieces. At least Sonic had character development during the Archie run.
Imagine how Knuckles and Team Rose (at that time) would react if they found out about Sonic’s violence and toxic masculinity towards a little kid (who can fight)! Then it would be Sonic vs. Everyone Else: Friends No More!
Even though I’m mostly on Sonic’s side because while what he did was wrong and he had a change of heart at the end of the next issue, he has been doing so much for his people yet they were less angry at characters who have done worse things than him like Sally wanting to hit Sonic with a Piko-Piko Hammer for wanting to be a hero instead of remembering her dates (I know she too has reformed, but still), Shadow thinking he would be so cool by murdering innocents, Amy Rose for calling Sonic “more selfish than Eggman, Shadow, Knuckles, Rouge, Chris Thorndyke and the Babylon Rogues” to Sam Speed whom she dated in episode 42 of Sonic X for making him look bad for being jealous of their time.

If o remember "just get over it and keep going," is sonic's mantra for dealing will all the negative changes that have impacted his life since his year stuck in space issues 121-124, and issues 178-179 show him that that isn't really helpful when he realizes he has unconsciously been projecting that on Tails, which lead to Tails pulling away from him. On a side note Sonic does show concern for Tails pulling away but Sonic thought Tails was doing so because Fiona and later Tails father were forcing him to keep things from Sonic. He is heartbroken to learn Tails was doing so on his own. Because he thought Sonic wouldn't care
This was really great! All the voice actors did fantastic! The music choices were excellent, and the video work was better than most comic dramas I've seen. You never cease to amaze me, Tasha. And now I can't wait for the next issue....I GET TO FIGHT MY CHOCOLATE BEAR! :D (sounds bad when you don't know the context)

10: 52 FINALLY!!!!! Anyways, this comic drama was GREAT! The visuals, the effects, the casting, choices for music and sound effects. I only hope to become as good at comic drama's as you are right now in the future. It's my favorite arc., so GREAT JOB!!!! I'm looking forward to the second part! This comic drama gets a 9/10 but I'm relatively new to comic drams's so I can't judge too much.
Tails and Sonic sure have a captive audience there. BOOYAH!

I was glad to see Tails show some strength in him, I'm sick and tired of people calling Tails weak.
Let me guess, Tails also did that to Sonic for standing up Amy Rose on a date in Sonic X, nearly killing her in Sonic Riders like he did with Sally Acorn in issue 47 (or maybe it was just a Sonic doppelgänger) and not only stealing him from Fiona but also breaking up with her over what he thought was a lame excuse (it was shown to feel like the other way around in issue 172 when Taills actually fought alongside Sonic before fighting him and didn’t defend Fiona any longer)
Seeing Sonic and Tails literally fighting each other was really sad and scary!

@Long-Tailed Charmander I don't know, he's been known to be insensitive in the games too. This is one of the few times, if one of the only times in Archie where he's been like this. Most of the time in Archie, he's better than in the games.

But I will have to say - what made me happiest the most - is the MUSIC selection. Some people don't realize how important that element is to accentuating the mood, calm, and intensity of the scene.
I smiled at every selection, it just made the experience a whole lot more enjoyable. The thing is when I saw the credits I realised that Shaun, Tyler and Chris helped you out with the song selection. You guys have very good taste. Excellent work.
It's also great, at this stage of the game, to try and figure out who was voicing the characters, I got most of them right but I was eager to know who were the newbies (from my experience hearing them doing a 'Sonic themed' project) who did Nack/Fang and Bean. I was pleasantly surprised that Shaun did Elias, he really fits his role!
Great job to the other voice actors too for portraying your roles! Last but not least a big thanks to you Tasha for continuing to maintain the high quality standard in comic dramas.
I shall be posting mine soon, but it won't be Sonic Archie related. :D

Wow, I knew that one of the 3 lines of comics was dark, and just at the begining of the video, the cover is for an Archie comic, and Sonic and Tails look like they are enemies, but I know them, they would never attack each other like that!

Hi, my name's Amadeus. I tried to start a revolution but I guess that I didn't hand out enough pamphlets.
The only people who showed up was my wife and son, and my son's friend, who I hate
as much as I hate the writing in this issue, I gotta admit, the voice acting is incredibly well done. :)

I swear when j heard about this then I saw how tame they argued in one of the games, I sometimes just think we are missing out on an opportunity of subversion. Even best friends have fights so it has to happen at one point. Sonic has to do something quite wrong to Tails...
No, they’re best friends and brothers, that’s why they don’t fight each other in canon.
