P.s. The rich can still go to private hospitals here and pay if they want to
Yeah, it is possible that the person making this video had a strong political agenda and just picked out the people who knew the least about healthcare to try and make a point.
Here in the UK the NHS works well and is VERY cheap. It's paid out of 'national insurance' which covers state pension and more. I earn £50k, my NI costs £900 a year.

This channel is so misleading. He fails to mention that medicare for all would cut government costs in half and save middle and lower class Americans thousands each year. Republicans and establishment dems love to talk about how socialism is bad and het they support a plethora of socialist policies. They are in favour of wall street bailouts, free fire department, free education up to highschool, social security, and police. All socialist policies!
@@chrisc5111 calling fire and policing socialist policies shows a complete lack of understanding as to what socialism is. What do you think a government is for in the first place? Their main goal is to protect their citizens. There is always a fair argument to have in terms of going beyond protection, how much additional support should we provide. Should we have less additional supports and instead rely on private industry, or should we become completely reliant on government systems, or somewhere in the middle? When you keep in mind that government is almost always less efficient dollar for dollar than the private market (especially for the medical system), you start to question why people support these socialist policies in the first place. When there is less money overall, it will always be the most wealthy and powerful who are least effected. See what happened when venezuela privatized their extremely rich oil industry? Some social policies you can definitely argue in favor of. But takeover of the industry is one i just cant understand. All it does is take from the poor and give to the rich, completely antithetical to socialism. It is important to consider human nature and realize every single socialist system in the history of our planet has failed. And nearly every time, due to government corruption. Maybe you believe your socialist system will be different and save the country but so did Hitler, Stalin, and Maduro. Ultimately speaking, freedom is the only thing we should have the right to. Thats why its important to understand that the most beneficial system to everyone is the one that allows voluntary participation. That is the only thing that should matter. This is the price. Do you want to buy it? If not, you are no worse off. If so you are better off. And ultimately market competition will cause this price to trend to the lowest possible cost / most efficient methods of production. Vs something like venezuela, where productivity is at a near standstill, wages are a few dollars per month, and government sanctioned violence all over the place.
Alex Arnold Socialism refers to things being publicly owned. The police and fire department are publicly owned therefore they are socialist policies. The United States medical system costs twice as much per capita than any other developed nation in the world. They have Medicare and private health insurance here in Australia. We pay around 1000 per person per year via our tax. We don't pay for doctors visits upfront, certain procedures, X-rays etc are covered under bulk billing. Ante natal visits are covered, some hospital stays are covered. And its similar scenarios they get heart set on x super expensive school are going into career that having x school name on diploma wont get them paid more. And then you top it off with things like not working living exclusively off student loans going into low paying career.
Seen people end school with money left over to start business/buy house like one guy I knew did military saved up while on active duty since meals/housing is paid for got out went to North Dakota oil fields. Got truck driving job that had lots of downtime and did degree online the company he worked for paid for school as well as gi bill top it off with good pay from job. He finished his masters in a few years and cashed out a house.
Saw another work full time while going to school worked a job that paid well not some cashier job but worked construction. He also went to local school and stayed with parents saving tons of money. Was able to start own business right after school as he had savings and no debt.
But LOTs of people I saw do well went to one specific college aka the cheapest college in the state where rent for shared room (I know shitty) but still only 200 semester tuition was 2k. Then if they worked even a little they ended with little/no debt.
People that I see racking up debt are those but x college is dream college ect. They get fixated on particular colleges. Hell some do same with degrees I am getting x degree without a single thought about the career they might get with said degree or how much it might pay ect.

"The government can't force you to have heathcare with them" You just defined Obamacare
I hated Obamacare. I had gotten my first job when obama was president andbwhen i saw that i had taxes taken out for obamacare, i was FURIOUS!!!
@@ezekielsparadise4633 I was almost penalized $695 for my 2017 and 2018 tax return because of Obamacare
But that's not accurate.
Roberts went up and told Obama's lawyer that the government cannot force people to buy a product The only thing the government can do is make people pay taxes.
Obama's attorney said okay it's a tax.
That's how the Supreme Court allowed Obamacare to go through they turned it into a TAX.
Remember Obama said they had to hire 40,000 more IRS agents to collect health insurance???
National healthcare for all works fine in pretty well every developed country - except USA (I'm making the rash assumption that USA is a developed country). Ask any UK citizen and 99% will say the National Health Service is the best thing about living in the UK. Healthcare free at the point of use, no-one refused, no-one bankrupted by medical bills, no-one dying because they can't afford healthcare. All paid for by our taxes.
Their parents must be so proud!
"wait , you still need to pay for it? " THAT IS THE BEST AND SCARIEST LINE IN THIS VIDEO

@Ride the Wave honestly dont give an f about your commandents. we need to live in grounded reality.
and im sorry but socialism isnt evil. as a whole yes, but we need a mixed policy society. i mean were already a democratic republic, why stop there.
They're proving that they're still just kids!
They are not kids. They are brain washed muppets who regurgitate what their lefty liberal professors spoon feed them.
As soon as she said “as a Bernie supporter” throw her in a padded room.
College? I mean maybe those are the safe spaces. Maybe a massive prank would be to pad all the campus building and fixtures. ‘So it’s safe’ for the little children to bounce their ideas off each other.
"Theres nothing you can say about this that will change my mind" okay then....
Where did she go?
the only surprising thing here is that these kids actually listened instead of shouting.
Righttt
This channel is so misleading. He fails to mention that medicare for all would cut government costs in half and save middle and lower class Americans thousands each year. Republicans and establishment dems love to talk about how socialism is bad and het they support a plethora of socialist policies. They are in favour of wall street bailouts, free fire department, free education up to highschool, social security, and police. All socialist policies!
You can’t shout/virtue signal if you’re by yourself.
Maybe it’s because he interviewed people by themselves.
All at the same time the United States is the only developed nation to not offer everyone coverage and not provide full coverage to everyone who is insured. I absolutely don’t think oil industries or any non vital industries should be publicized. I am not a socialist and neither is Bernie. He chose poor words. I just think we should remove the conflict of interest from services that people need to live.
"You still have to pay for it?"
You thought it was FREE?
To be fair, that's exactly how the leftists describe it. 'Free Medicare for all'. Most of these leftists don't read or think past the headlines. Socialism preys on those unwilling to think of act for themselves.
@@Aimia4 to be fair, most people expect everything that needs to be said by politicians are said by politicians. They don't always have time to research it.

"Healthcare for illegal immigrants!"
How are you supposed to do that if they don't have any documentation?
We do it in Sweden. Also immigrants can go to the dentist and claim they are under 18. Will get fixes for 50 kr (5$). Asking for any dokumentation is considered racist, so dentists never do it. All Medicine you want for 50 kr also
@@Eriksvensson4231 Sweden is so cucked lol
Robert Lind How do the doctors and dentists claim money from the government without identification of the patient?
Robert Lind yeah but it’s also Sweden’s a lot smaller country than the USA so it’s for their to be Medicare for all and the immigrants
@@Eriksvensson4231 you said immigrants not ILLEGAL immigrants. Plus is stupid to think that asking for documentation is racist. I heard about people in sweden being oppresed with their thinking, I mean no freedom of speech, but I didn't think it was that bad
The good part: it’s free...
The bad part: ohh... there’s taxes?
Do people really think that there’s anything free?
Gustavo Semaan the only things that come free in life
is nothing
even the pirates and criminals do work to get there money
Don’t you think it’s a little unfair that Jeff Bezos secretary paid more in taxes than he did.
As a Medicare recipient, it sounded great, until I started figuring out that ALOT of providers don’t take it.
The saying “ignorance is bliss” fits these kids perfectly. Once they’re informed their opinion changes. Bernie & Warren are hoping that they stay ignorant.
Or as my later father called them - educated dummies
"..you have to pay for it?"
Why isn't this common knowledge?
Ikr, they have been misled so far for so long it's a tragedy. Our school systems deliberately aim to produce good order takers. The last thing they ever want for an educated outcome would be free thinkers.
By age four.
Because common sense is out the Rosie! I must say too I was in only college about 8 years ago & how much the education has been changed - both people & the way the curriculum is operated. We can make fun of them & call them idiots but it’s also sad because they’ve been hardwired to think a certain way & we shouldn’t have belittle them, but rather worked to kick out that permanent incorrect thinking.
I agree with you on this, smh 🤦🏻♂️. “There is no such thing as free lunch.”
I wish I had an answer for you based on facts instead of an opinion.
It is....... but not on the left
and this is because 99% of the time when politicians(pretty much all on the left) who support universal healthcare talk about costs, they only say you can walk into a hospital and won't be asked to pay or some variation of this. They never actually say its free, they just give the impression to those who are clueless how things work in the real world that they don't have to pay.
When they start digging in to your paycheck, people change their minds.
Ask the colonists.
And by then it's too late. They done took your guns and leverage away lol
They have Medicare and private health insurance here in Australia. We pay around 1000 per person per year via our tax. We don't pay for doctors visits upfront, certain procedures, X-rays etc are covered under bulk billing. Ante natal visits are covered, some hospital stays are covered. Its awesome for the elderly especially as they don't have to worry about not having enough money to visit a GP.
It doesn’t work in the US
@@Angelaaa1015but it could
not to mention they also want :
1- the green new deal
2- free college
3- eliminate student loan debt.
youre looking at keeping maybe 1/4 of your paycheck at the end of the day
Green New Deal alone ia a trillion dollar project in 10 years. It would cut a huge part of the American economy in a really short time. The project is simply insensible
1/4 of my already 1/2?

@john Yep!
He's new.
Right now, he's literally a sheep in wolf's clothing.
But, in time, like wolves, they'll eventually sniff him out, and when that happens, they'll devour him.
Let's hope he survives, though.
he probably talked to like 500 to find those 5 that were reasonable enough to speak to him
"You have to pay for it" WTF? Do these fools actually believe there is such a thing as "free".
Yes because for them society has been stealing from the productive to give to the mediocre. I use to laugh when the teacher would try to grade on a curve and I'd blow it out of the water by getting a perfect score.
Yes, they've been fed that crap their entire lives.
We need many more people like this to open people's eyes
"As a Bernie supporter, I think you do have to give up some choice just for the benefit of everyone." That ain't freedom.
Indeed, and that's why you need to be very wary of them. They are willing to sacrifice YOUR freedom just so they can feel good about themselves and they will do it one way or the other, if given half a chance.
Beware of the Bernie bros.
The freedoms they want you to give up, never hurt anyone. Believe it or not, a guy having a million dollars, doesn't hurt you.
This kind of selfish view is the reason your country is so trash. What good is freedom if everyone else around you has to suffer
Nigel Kushington they have the same freedoms as everyone else, taking away those freedoms is unamerican, it's against what we stand for
@@crackythepirate416 That's the thing, our freedoms are universal to all citizens. Nobody "has" to suffer, they have the freedom of choice, for pretty much everything. Problem is, people make bad choices, and don't want to be held accountable when they realize they're bad. Just let that marinate for a while.
