Chuffed for you Adam , you were the second guy to call me about it , just lucky for you the first caller wanted to p/x a saff cossie but we couldnt agree a deal that was right for both parties and you snapped it up . Im looking forward to the videos of the work you will be doing , and im always here if you need help .
I wish I knew as much as u have forgot about cossies 🙌.. Adam fair play for getting ur dream and thanks Paul for all ur entertainment and knowledge, both a pleasure to watch..
You guys work well togeather on the channel and the history and info you share with us all about fords of different eras and story’s I could listen to all day am die hard Ford myself and wouldn’t drive anything else well done to you both thanks again for another great vid hopefully more to come 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I think when we saw it on Paul’s channel we all knew who was gonna buy it. Happy to have been proved right. Chuffed to bits for you Adam, and think everyone who watches the channel will be too. Looking forward to some great content. First things first though, get some OZ Rally Racing wheels! It’s the go to first mod.
Congratulations, Adam. It just goes to show that hard work and dedication pays off. Good luck and looking forward to seeing the progress on the Escort Cossie.
Im totally stoked for you mate. Id put it back to standard with proper wheels as thats where the value is. Get the welding done and other bits and pieces then bite the bullet and get a top quality respray . Then sit back and watch the value grow. Looking forward to the content going forward❤❤❤❤❤
this is only good as a beater. You do know its £10k for a good windows out paintjob now yeah? The floor and sils needing done will be £2-3k and then the stripping part to get rid of all the junk coating on the underside will be a massive bill too. He best hope the engine is rock solid because if that needs opening and fixed up then jeez there goes near £30k for a car that wont ever be considered a mint example. Would be £40k tp get this immaculate right now. Possibly more. He cant spray paint or weld so thats why he should have avoided and got a mechanically dodgy one with a good body.
@breathoffreshair7314 totally agree. Why would you want a standard one they were a bag of shit. Lol. Need min 550bhp and decent interior/suspension/exhaust etc etc
@breathoffreshair7314Too right, I think the car looks nice how it is. Tidy the thing up paint the brace and red bits in the engine bay black, tune the engine and keep the dump valve on. I would also get white OZ Racing Routes Rally wheels with red stickers. Perfection.
Right car at right time, think we all knew you'd get there somehow and i can imagine you would have been at the top of Pauls list of potential biyers. Looking forward to seeing you bringing it back to full order 👍
At first glance it looks beautiful Adam, had it not been for Pauls appraisal, I would have thought it was in concourse condition. I’m looking forward to seeing your restoration process on the channel. I can tell by your enthusiasm that you love this car❤.
Remember the escort cossie back in the day has a kid sat in the showroom brand new great news u bought one well done to you carnt beat nostalgic fords keep up the great work on the channel look forward to seeing more on the car /cars 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻💯
This is Fantastic, I’m so glad you’ve bought it Adam. You will appreciate and give it the love and care it deserves. I’m sure if the previous owner is watching you from above he would be chuffed too. Cheers from Australia 👍
I’ve done a full rebuild everything off and it’s a lot of painstaking work, this is what your car needs, fix your gremlin/ mechanical problems first then strip it out engine back get all that mechanical , fuel lines and body sorted , I say get the gremlins fixed now because after the body work and mechanical refresh you don’t want to be mawling with it, you want to be able to throw it back together and it’s done, otherwise your chasing your arse and that is guaranteed to make you hate it Good purchase for the Long haul .
Congrats dude, testament to your dedication and presentation - hard work pays off and rubbing shoulders with Paul seems to have brought this to you. Love the way the car looks as is. Be good to see you resto-mod it rather than put it back to stock and never drive it. Unless of course this is for investment purposes but it’d make for better content if you improve it and make it your own IMO.
Nice buy and I thought you would have stripped it down for a respray and had the engine fully checked over and new belt, water pump. Before MOT and driving, as winter is on it's way. Look forward to seeing more on this project. You have amazing girlfriend to let you buy other cossie.
Absolutely over the moon for you mate I felt the same about my monte cossie until my garage was burned down three weeks ago so l am now looking for something else hopefully another monte same again mine was totally original from a collection in Scotland full history and 2 owner car I’m second but still will be a great car all cossies are
Low mileage & fsh, no brainer buying it. The rest is just cosmetic, can all be sorted over time. Good luck with it Adam, can’t wait to see the progress, lovely car 👍🏻
Do you know much about the history of the car ? You said it's from up north, I'm pretty confident this used to live in Gateshead, I can't be 100% sure but I remember viewing an N plate red escort identical to this in 2003, it had the factory cloth, Air con, same wheels and the main thing I remembered was the gear lever lock which you didn't often see back then. If I remember correctly the guy that owned it was getting divorced from his wife and needed rid sharpish.
I’ve not watched this yet, I’m saving it for when I get some piece and quiet! But congratulations mate well deserved and this car couldn’t have gone to a better home 👍👍
niice … gotta be a full strip down to a bare shell , sort the floor pan and any other panels out ….full respray on the shell and all the running gear etc … pop in ur spare cosworth big bhp engine …rebuild the original lump if needed and keep stored if u ever sell the car to put back in … this car has the potential to be a RUclips mega step by step build back to mint condition
Congratulations, Adam. It is no more than you deserve with quality of content on your channel, hard work & bit of comedy “ur financial adviser” & i am looking forward to the rebuild of the Cossie👍✔️
Well done Adam you finally got one 😃👍. I was wondering why the saph was for sale 🤔. Great project for you and be great to see you get it back to your mint standards and drive it back down to Paul's to view another car that has has 😁👍. All the best with it mate👍👍
I can only imagine that you getting this escort cosworth has made your day Adam as I know of previous videos that you were looking to get the escort cosworth and all thats missing now is getting the 4x4 sapphire cosworth which was always my favourite one and to be honest it looks very nice and no doubt by the time your finished with what you have planned for this it's going to be looking like a real gem so good luck going forward with this as it's a real car 👍👍👍and 🎅 has definitely came early for you and I hope that you keep this one so happy for you and some future AMAZING content coming soon as well
when we saw it on Paul’s channel we all knew who was gonna buy it its going to be well worth watching you put it back to mint I'm looking forward to this well done Adam this will bring moor views to the channel.
Best of luck with your new Cossie. Can't wait for the vlogs. I'm sure some of your followers here on RUclips, the Cosworth community and Paul Linford will give you lots of guidance's with the challenges along the way.
Cracking buy. Personally I’d leave the floor/welded areas and just strip off the Shultz. Protect it and stone chip or get the floor painted the same colour of the car. Great vid as always mate. Good luck with the Car 👏🏼👍🏼
The car looks good and look forward to updates. I’d expect any 27/28 year old cosworth to have this sort of problem ( sold my last escort cosworth in 2007 and rust was already an issue back then on a 93 K reg). I think Paul’s description is him looking at a regular condition cosworth vs the exceptional condition cars he specialises in. You have got yourself a very nice usable base to work from. Won’t take long to sort out the running problems then up to you if and when to try and make the cosmetics better ( or just leave it as it is use and enjoy without being too precious about it).
I had one of these alongside a brand new red RS Turbo Fiesta, which eventually got stolen from right outside my house. Good luck with your new purchase.
Wow love this Adam had a feeling your next car would be another cossie but this is some thing else the paint work looks good on camera but obviously close up it’s probably not best well done mate made up for you 👍🏽👍🏽😀
Ahhh about time, I’ve been waiting for this video since the first one Paul put out about it 🤣 - congratulations Adam, dream project car to sink ya teeth in to 👍🏻
Adam mate you lucky lucky man .Hard work pays off mate doesn't it. Maybe when I win that lottery ticket I'll race you..or let you review my white big turbo version. Or a rs 200.with 900bhp we can all dream pal
I was gonna ask if this is what you sold the Sapphire for when you were at Pauls a couple of videos ago and you were fawning all over this one. Turns out it was! Congrats on the new machine! Can't wait to see you dive into it mate.
Looking forward to following your project build on this definitely got the potential to be a nice Cossie and you’ve bought it from the best guy in the business
Asoon as I saw the car on Paul's channel i knew it was a perfect project for you especially the fact you love to save yourself money by having a go at just about any Job that needs to be done plus the added bonus that you can ask Paul for any advice on something your not sure on so looking forward to future videos
Chuffed for you Adam , you were the second guy to call me about it , just lucky for you the first caller wanted to p/x a saff cossie but we couldnt agree a deal that was right for both parties and you snapped it up . Thanks again Paul

This video has been along time coming we all knew you'd bought the car. Well done and the best of luck with it Adam. A well deserved car
I owned this car from 2007 - 2014. Bit of a shock to see it on RUclips!!
Mad to think a Fiesta ST180 is quicker than one of these around a track. Just shows the advance in engineering.
Congratulations, Adam. It just goes to show that hard work and dedication pays off. Good luck and looking forward to seeing the progress on the Escort Cossie.
Cheers Simon
@@Adam151082Adam lovely car mate, you should get some white OZ Racing Routes Rally Wheels with red text that would look nuts. Keep up the good work!
Congratulations Adam lovely car you will make it to great car, I have a red escort cossie love it they look great in red
Time to jack the job in and escort cosworth videos everyday. Cant wait to see the videos of your work on this. Well done adam. You must be very proud.
Im totally stoked for you mate. Id put it back to standard with proper wheels as thats where the value is. Get the welding done and other bits and pieces then bite the bullet and get a top quality respray . Then sit back and watch the value grow. Looking forward to the content going forward❤❤❤❤❤

10k for a paint job. Get real ha ha. It's a car, not a huge aircraft or truck. Paint job will be around 3k
@breathoffreshair7314 totally agree. Why would you want a standard one they were a bag of shit. Lol. Need min 550bhp and decent interior/suspension/exhaust etc etc

my dream car but sadly these are well out of my budget, really pleased for you Adam, and looking forward to seeing what you do to it👍
I used to look forward to the Sierra Sapphire updates, but now Escort Cosworth in Red! Deffo following your journey - Congratulations!!
At first glance it looks beautiful Adam, had it not been for Pauls appraisal, I would have thought it was in concourse condition.
I’m looking forward to seeing your restoration process on the channel.
I can tell by your enthusiasm that you love this car❤.
Good man Adam fair play hard work pays off
Well done Son, it’s a great achievement when you fulfil a dream. Can’t wait to see this project maturing into your dream car.

Yes I prefer the seats in this one , I've always liked the escort cosworth dash as well its quite a late one aswell
Stunning in red ❤.. Thing the bloke selling it being a bit hard on it looks a perfect usable surviver from here 👌🏼
He deals with top end stuff, this is dog rough to a man like him, 4 x 2 box welded on it, wheels painted in a dusty garage with a rattle can etc
Buzzing for you, looking forward to following this build. Well done Adam
The car looks good and look forward to updates.

Well done Adam if you make it mint you'll be scared to drive it make it and enjoy it❤
best of luck with the rebuild / restoration
I had one of these alongside a brand new red RS Turbo Fiesta, which eventually got stolen from right outside my house.
Good luck with your new purchase.
So good having Paul go over the car with you. For all it's faults it looks nice and the OZs suit it i think. Congrats
Congratulations fella i cant wait for future videos
