I wish more doctors in the US were like her. Thanks for sharing your perspective on taking the reigns of our own health. 🙏

You talked about one of the things I experienced trying to get help with joint pain. There is no Rheumatology help in the ER. I went to a local hospital ER with very painful joints. I was there 7 hours. All tests they did were normal, but they released me with no help. Appointments to Rheumatologists were many months in the future. I was able to find an appointment in a few weeks, but I was fortunate to do that. We are very grateful for your amazing help. Best wishes for your UnabridgedMD!

I came out with RA all over last Autumn. I’m not able to function without prednisone. Got osteoporosis too. Fell and broke my spine. The consultant suggests Humira later in year because my liver is shot. I know I wouldn’t be able to inject myself.

You could ask for the equivalent of humira intravenously instead of having to inject yourself. Don’t hesitate to let your doctor know your fears and concerns.
