You know you dont have to restart the game? This green square happens, when its active when new round is about to start (its in replays, spectating and even when u play the game), but when round finish and you make new selection it dissappear. This worked fir me everytime so far.

I waited multiple rounds in the past before, and it did not go away. Maybe I need to test again though because that was many patches ago
