Welcome to episode 3 of the Tasmania Road trip guys! 😁🙌🏼 In todays video, we explore the incredible West Coast on board the West Coast Wilderness Railway! Hands down, one of the coolest experiences here in Tassie 🚂 Don't forget to checkout the links in the description if you're planning a trip around tassie! 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼 You might just save yaself a little bit of money! 👊🏼
Thank you so much, I lived on the west coast of Tasmania from 1970 to 1981 and I still miss all that beauty today - The town I loved and grew up in is no longer there, the iron ore mine is still active today.
It’s super nice taking the wilderness rail in the premium carriage, would definitely recommend. Its important to book tickets early because it is often booked out weeks in advance. Great video Scotty! We’ll be bringing out a wilderness rail video soon too :)
Great video. Sadly when I did this tour we only travelled to Lynchford then back, due to track maintenance. It was disappointing not seeing the more spectacular part of the journey.
@@adventurewithbernie G’day Bernie! 👋🏼 So glad you enjoyed the video 😊Damn! That’s such a shame about the track maintenance. Hopefully you’ll get another opportunity soon to enjoy the full tour 🌿 🚂
In 2005 I travelled on it with open carriages. It was awesome. Unfortunately a few weeks later they covered it due to "complaints" from pensioners. Such a shame.
Cheers legend! I think I got a little lucky when booking...i booked just over a week in advance. But would definitely recommend booking a month or more. It's usually pretty packed from what I noticed 😊👊🏼
