I had worked in CPCL plant for more than 6 months as a HSE engineer. I have almost 11 years of experience in this field. But the CPCL plant was the worst ever plant I had worked. As you rightly mentioned in the video, you can feel the pollution when you breathe. So, I decided to switch the company for the sack of my health. But I feel pitty for the people living around ennore area. Also, all the thermal power plants in that region pollutes environment like anything. Because the government sectors don't care about the compliance as they are busy making rules which they don't follow. It is the truth. The CPCL employees and Power plant employees won't come to the site and does their work. They will simply sit at the office and earn their income. Because they are the servants of the nation (Government employees) 😏. Anyway, respect to LMES team to speak about it.
Yeah, he said right but not only CPCL some companies around CPCL were hiding their names mr. Deepakwhere right about the return flow of water from Buckingham canal, the storage tanks were filled at the time they opened those tanks. more or less the people around this industrial area are surely affected by the carcinogenic effect thanks to LMES you have done a great thing for the people around this industrial area
Living in ennore since my childhood. Having grey hair at 24. Happy to see some big channels giving media coverage. After oil leak had ammonia gas leak. As a msc chemistry graduate I know the adverse effects of industries around ennore from coromandel fertilizers to hinduja foundries to ennore thermal power station to cpcl and other industries in Manali. Atleast it's good if these industries treat the wastes properly before releasing into environment..

I had visited ennore yesterday, I'm near by that area minjur. Me & my frnds visited there to know more about the people's problem being issue with the ammonia gas leakage to make a documentary film for my frnds project. Spoke to the local people's of periyakuppam and was absolutely shocked their protests against the coramandal company continuing for 59th day as yesterday. Police tried to drive away us not to cover any of these infos as it is a sensitive issue against the company and government. Glad to know you guys have the guts to show whats happening over here... People must know what is going within our chennai. நன்றி.

As a guy who never visited any big cities like chennai, banglore etc, its feeling like the world is going to end really soon and these clips are like a hollywood movie about pollution. This really should considered as a biggest life threat for people. And thanks for lmes for covering these massive(nejama romba periya) problem and letting the internet know about this.
