That was a funny story about Possum's saloon leaking down on Acuff's museum! Hats off to Earle Scruggs, he married a beautiful manager. As soon as I saw the statue of the boy with the big hat and fishing rod, it had to be Odum. We've taken home some of that Tennessee pride sausage. Good stuff.

Boy was I wrong, country music soothed my heart starting in 2004, when my marriage ended. Then I enjoyed learning about some of the Greats...good Stuff!!! Thank you, Jordan! 🌼

Hello Jordan! I was recently dismayed to learn that Zsa Zsa Gabor's former estate at 1001 Bel Air Road was demolished, I saw it on a google map. That was a lovely house designed in the French Regency style. I acquired in one of the metaverse (NextEarth) and I'm sad that this historic place is a thing of the past. Maybe you could make a video of it! All the best for your channel! Giorgio from Hungary

Hi Jordan. I like to make a correction. Roy Acuff was not the first artist in the Country Music Hall of Fame, but rather the first LIVING artist in the CMHOF. Jimmie Rodgers, Hank Williams, and Fred Rose, Acuff's publishing partner, were the artists first inducted to the hall in 1961. These men I just mentioned died in 1933, 1953, and 1954, respectively.

I'm not sure if you're a fan of Uncle Tupelo, but the song "Acuff-Rose" is one of my favorites, (Track 2, Anodyne) I sing along any time it's played, usually at work, but if you're not familiar with them, check 'em out! I'd be surprised if you didn't sort of appreciate them or love them. Either one is good! And as always Give that little nugget Jah a bellyrub for me! And safe travels...

I wonder why the Acuff family has the large tombstone and then the smaller ones on individual graves. Is the larger one a mausoleum or a marker because it's a family plot? I'll admit, it's an odd question. I have to share this too, bc of Earl Scruggs, a few Christmases ago, my son received an electric guitar, he also fell in love with the music of Waylon Jennings, Earl Scruggs, Willie Nelson and a country artist, named Ray Price, I believe. He would continuously watch and play along with a PBS special featuring Mr. Price and I think, Mr. Scruggs. Thank you for paying homage to beautiful country music... there's nothing else like it

Except for trash acuff this a great vlog . The reason fir acuff bieng trash is when he tried to deny hank's daughter one of her family name an 2 the right to sing an make money herself from it , all acuff was interested in was makin money off his cash cow an tried in vain thankfully to stop jett from her rightful place . Hank sr was looking forward to meeting his girl an set out to provide for her in all legal matters so i know he be very angry with how all his family have treated her . Acuff rot in hell
