A friend of mine once shared if one changed his habit/mindset completely for good can change his destiny , it is like the elements in his bazi will also sort of change in a way as well (unfavourable to favourable elements), is that true? In your course of work, have you encountered personally any life examples of those who change their destiny completely for the good and how long did they take to change?

季謙老師下午好,，想感謝您上次介紹的高王觀世音真經。 最近，我有開始多念的習慣... 去到哪裡念到哪裡，在地鐵也有默念。我覺得持戒真的容易多了，雜念和負面的情緒減少很多。
我的問題是
1) 念經或念佛咒能夠減輕大運或流年/流月的不良影響嗎?
2) 衛塞節要來臨了, 我們怎麼在這天累積多一點功德?

Good afternoon, Teacher Ji Qian. Thank you for introducing High King Avalokiteśvara Sutra previously. Recently, I began the habit of reciting it more. Wherever I go, I would be reciting it and would recite it silently in the MRT. I find it easier to observe the precepts and my distracting and negative thoughts have greatly reduced.
My questions are:
1) Can reciting sutras or mantras reduce the negative impact on our luck pillars, annual or monthly luck?
2) Vesak Day is coming. What can we do on this day to accumulate more merits?

Hi 老师，what if I still have many thoughts while reciting 高王观世音正经？Will the merits be lessened? When copying the sutra, if I copied something wrongly, is it ok if I burn the wrong pieces with respect? It's disrespectful to just throw the paper into the trash since it's words spoken by goddess of mercy.
Hi Numerals, hand-copying sutras is a form of repentance and purification training of the body, speech and mind. Just like doing fitness workouts, no one can do it perfect right from the start and look like a graceful swan. But one has to start in order to be good at it eventually.
Yes, having distracting thoughts will contaminate the purity of your sutra copied and lessen the merits. But this is a process everyone goes through. Your mind is like a muscle that strengthens when trained over time. Self-blame will drag you further from your aspiration but self-awareness will sharpen your realisation of the monkey mind, and hopefully the emptiness behind such thoughts.
Putting wrongly copied sutras into recycle bins is another way for your consideration. The paper get recycled for more use, and beneath the fibres of the recycled paper lies the hidden power of the sutra (though incomplete).

應是：「不動明王」，「安土地真言」
