I genuinely hope I’m right and he is a benevolent counterpart to the “Root of Evil.” I can picture him being rather enraged that Sera would come to the conclusion of the Exterminations and actually be on Charlie’s side on the idea of redemption, demonstrated by Sir Pentious’ redemption.
@@dancingwholenessI mean he’s hardly benevolent. Plenty of innocent people, even children, are killed by god in the Old Testament, and in the New Testament, Revelation basically has god planning on killing and mass torturing all non Christian’s. Really angels and demons are two different sides of the same coin. Things may be different in this show however as it’s usually very inaccurate for its own sake.
My theory is he's the one who gave Charlie the idea for the hotel, if he is busy then he doesn't have time to change a potentially massive process like the judgement system so he implemented a second judgement system he just needed someone to prove it worked
I personally think (since he is god) that he's omnipresent. He sees everything and possibly wants to help Charlie but he's not really interfering. The only "proof" i have about this is that Sir Pentious, after dying, entered heaven inside of the Seraphim "headquarters" and in Sera's room. I think god directly decided to let him go there to prove Emily and Charlie's point to Sera. Also i'm not sure if he really wants to interfere as God doesn't really seem to interfere with what he has created
I also think God is omnipresent in Hazbin Hotel but he isn't doing anything about because it's hell. God is all knowing which means he knows everything that happens at any time. The reason why I think God isn't doing anything about Hell is because Hell is seperation from God. They willingly chose to be away from God, the state of being seperated from God is hell. Charlie on the other hand is an exception because she was born in hell and didn't get to choose, but it's quite obvious that Charlie is as much of a sinner as everyone else in hell. I think God will in appear in later episodes talking personally with Charlie about entering Heaven. God would actually want them all in heaven, but they have to repent for their sins. If Charlie were to repent that would mean she would have to stop being a lesbian and break up with Vaggie. It's a pretty complicated situation but i guess we'll see in the shows what happens.
@@Sastheboi In real life being gay isn't a sin either, it's the act of being gay that is the sin. Even the pope stated this. Idk how exactly that works in Hazbin Hotel. If Charlie and Vaggie both wanna go to heaven, maybe they can still be in a relationship but they can't involve any acts that will make them sinners, like being intimate with each other. Other than that, I'm guessing that any demon in hell that wants to go to heaven would have to repent of their sins in order to enter. I really hope they get to heaven somehow especially since Charlie and her friends have a good heart.
I'll be honest, the Hazbin community is being very healthy about the discussion of God's place and role in the series. It's actually kinda refreshing. Not once have I seen someone champion the idea that Heaven is bad, because their crazy Evangelical Christian Aunt who thinks all superheroes are Marvel gave them religious trauma from constantly shaming them, and demonizing them. They recognize that it's just individuals who are hypocritical assholes (Adam), and hope for the best that sinners could one day be welcomed with open arms into Heaven. They just have to want, and work for it, because oh boy, does Hell have it's share of assholes too.
If he existed, i imagine him acting good, polite and cheerful, kinda bit teasing but not so far, but... He has kinda a megamind thing of the simply necessity of a enemy, this is 'cause even knowing that Lucifer was thinking, he let this slide to have a opposite being from him, the darkness that be created before, to get more entertain and give a meaning to light. He isn't a jerk but he existed so much before of heaven and earth, got kinda bored of control everything like past creations, limiting his own power and using just on emergency cases... And trying to not let the intrusives toughts of destroying win
I like this design for God. I can see their face changing to express emotions but their lips would never move when they speak, as he would be communication more like telepathy. Which means he can also read the minds of anyone he wants. I can also see him being a proud and loving grandpa to Charlie.
according to the hierarchy of angels (not of the hellaverse) cherubim are higher in the hierarchy of angels but in an episode of hb it showed that they are the angelic equivalent of imps
in my headcanon, heavenborn includes exterminators but i’ll include them above heavenborn since they have access to angelic weapons and can freely traverse through the afterlives
Not Metatron. He would be more like Adam. An ascended mortal. But one reinforced by gods own power so he can hear god's voice and pass on his will. Which when you think about it makes Metatron a bit apocryphal to both traditional christianity and Vizzie's lore. The human second in power only to the big G himself. Maybe Vizzie is running on some Tolkien inspiration
@@swagistan69420 technically you are not wrong. As I recall the process where Enoch becomes the Metatron does make him rather robotic looking from our perspective. I thought they would not have God or Jesus be in the show because if done wrong, you anger a lot of people, make them too squeaky clean, there's no conflict. Having the angels be flawed makes it so you have those in heaven that are corrupt without saying God is corrupt since they acted in their own judgement.
I personally feel like God isn't God in the way we think of him. In the opening sequence of "Overture," it's stated that Earth was formed & overseen by a group of Elder Angels. "God" is a collective, rather than a single entity
I doubt it. Based on the other lore if the show it’s most likely they’ll stick with the Judeo-Christian depiction of God as being an actual character unto himself. With differences about how he is portrayed in religious texts of course.
As much I love the "God is a collective" approach all of episode 6 implies that there's "divine judgment" working beyond the angels that determines whether a soul gets to hell or heaven. So they could go on a plethora of ways about God there, mainly whether this judgment is a natural mechanism of the universe or a conscious act of a sentient being, but i think it would also be fitting if the angels/everyone were under the impression that there's this divine and just being overseeing everything but in reality it's either non-existant or an outright scam by the "prince of heaven" (although this it the first time i'm hearing of him) to keep everyone under his control. After all Hazbin Hotel is blatantly and mockingly critical of... well, Christianity as a whole. So I wouldn't be surprised if Viv just full on goes there.

He could be anywhere honestly and I'll be really curious to see how he's depicted.

I once saw a fan comic (I think) that said that God, after Lucifers fall, and another archangels death, locked himself away in the highest point of heaven, unreachable to even the archangels themselves, and hasn't been heard from since, with the archangels barely keeping things together. So I started headcanoning this and a few other things from that fan comic (I think fan comic).
My guess is he's sitting around just existing with almost no contact for the most part and occasionally causes random musical numbers through space magic. (yes I took that last part from the "Lucifer" series because it fits the show)
I actually like thinking that God will actually break expectations and instead of being evil or something like Adam or other angels, he will literally be sinless, basically being like an obedient child who has been absent because he got told to stay still and don't bother, and actually has no knowledge about what has been going on in earth and hell.
Most of his mentions in the show are just the common saying "oh my god" or "oh lord" and stuff like that, which doesn't really count as mentioning a character. At no point in Charlie's lore dump in the first episode, nor in the hearing with Heaven, is there any mention of a figure higher than Sera. Only Helluva Boss outright said "do not say the lord's name in vain!" It's possible God did exist at one point in Hazbin's storyline, I do believe the storyline was altered from the pilot in the final show (Lilith was still in Hell in the pilot, seemingly, and in the final show she's not). Did Amazon remove God from the show to avoid potential backlash? Did Vivzie just decide to not feature him as her own creative decision? Maybe I'm wrong and he actually is gonna be a character? There's really only one way to find out.
my only question is how would there be backlash if some of the show is based off of religion? if it was meant to have god in it beforehand and amazon prime removed the idea that'll just be complete bullshit
I think its one of those situations where the highest authority turns a blind eye for one minute, and anarchy starts. If God knew about the exterminations, he'd immediately put an end to it, because he loves all his creations. The higher up angels are definitely corrupt from power and need constant supervision from God.
I have a theory, in the loser baby song in episode 4, at one point they say they are on a demon's leash, and as they say it we see that Angel Dust's is tightened less than Husk's, so maybe even though we don't see it, maybe Alastor treats Husk worse than Valentino. and Angel Dust is released earlier than Husk, so I think in a future episode Angel and Husk will leave Alastor and Valentino, but Angel will do it first and Husk will later.
I assume he's the same as normal, an unseen observer mostly judging people when they die. Guessing he chose to place Pentious in the seraphim offices as a subtle message. Also guessing that he's been waiting a while for sinners to start redeeming themselves, I mean look at the hell here, usually it's a pit of suffering, but imps and hellborn arent torturing the sinners, sinners are doing that themselves. Hell is surprisingly liveable if they're actually being punished.

God: Sera, let's talk.
Sera: My Lord, I
God: *patient glance*
Sera: Yes, my Lord.
My theory is he's the one who gave Charlie the idea for the hotel, if he is busy then he doesn't have time to change a potentially massive process like the judgement system so he implemented a second judgement system he just needed someone to prove it worked
in short he is alastor because alastor have tje idea first
I personally think (since he is god) that he's omnipresent.
Well we will have to see if the god in Hazbin is omnipresent.
@@Léauxne Fairly sure it was stated that in the Hazbinverse being gay doesnt get you put in hell.
Sounds perfect!
i think the hierarchy is like this
- holy trinity -
- elder angels (archangels, ophanim) -
- seraphim -
- saints -
- winners -
- exterminators -
- heavenborn -
- cherubim -
No archangels?
@@tiglishnobody8750 i’m not sure but i think the elder angels include the archangels
according to the hierarchy of angels (not of the hellaverse) cherubim are higher in the hierarchy of angels but in an episode of hb it showed that they are the angelic equivalent of imps
in my headcanon, heavenborn includes exterminators but i’ll include them above heavenborn since they have access to angelic weapons and can freely traverse through the afterlives
i think saints are like angelic overlords since they are sinners and they are only canonised after their death, so they may be below seraphim
I saw a great theory is that he’s overworked, and the finale will involve him finally stepping up and solving the issues faced between the realms
Hopefully we'll see him along with the archangels like Micheal, Raphael, Gabriel and metatron. They are Lucifer's brothers.
And Charlie’s uncles
Not Metatron. He would be more like Adam. An ascended mortal. But one reinforced by gods own power so he can hear god's voice and pass on his will. Which when you think about it makes Metatron a bit apocryphal to both traditional christianity and Vizzie's lore. The human second in power only to the big G himself.
Maybe Vizzie is running on some Tolkien inspiration

I thought they would not have God or Jesus be in the show because if done wrong, you anger a lot of people, make them too squeaky clean, there's no conflict. Having the angels be flawed makes it so you have those in heaven that are corrupt without saying God is corrupt since they acted in their own judgement.

I personally feel like God isn't God in the way we think of him. In the opening sequence of "Overture," it's stated that Earth was formed & overseen by a group of Elder Angels. "God" is a collective, rather than a single entity
or it goes with the "the universe is gods body or god is asleep" idea
@@arandomthingintheabyss2062 Works either way 🤷♀️
I doubt it. Based on the other lore if the show it’s most likely they’ll stick with the Judeo-Christian depiction of God as being an actual character unto himself. With differences about how he is portrayed in religious texts of course.
Or he just created the angels and left them to their own devices

God went full Empyrean, always ascending/evolving. The omniscient version of isolating/retreating into the self.
My guess is he's sitting around just existing with almost no contact for the most part and occasionally causes random musical numbers through space magic.
(yes I took that last part from the "Lucifer" series because it fits the show)
He could be dealing with Roo (the root of all evil) or the Elderich Outer Gods
Also his fan design is great
I actually like thinking that God will actually break expectations and instead of being evil or something like Adam or other angels, he will literally be sinless, basically being like an obedient child who has been absent because he got told to stay still and don't bother, and actually has no knowledge about what has been going on in earth and hell.
"I'm sorry ...but I went on vacation for a couple of years and I come back to this?"
Only Helluva Boss outright said "do not say the lord's name in vain!"
It's possible God did exist at one point in Hazbin's storyline, I do believe the storyline was altered from the pilot in the final show (Lilith was still in Hell in the pilot, seemingly, and in the final show she's not).
Did Amazon remove God from the show to avoid potential backlash? Did Vivzie just decide to not feature him as her own creative decision? Maybe I'm wrong and he actually is gonna be a character? There's really only one way to find out.

I think its one of those situations where the highest authority turns a blind eye for one minute, and anarchy starts. If God knew about the exterminations, he'd immediately put an end to it, because he loves all his creations. The higher up angels are definitely corrupt from power and need constant supervision from God.
I can't wait to see him. I like his eyes
this one creator makes the best shorts aboit god and angels, idk their bame but they are really cool, like you!
I know it will take a long time but people are gonna go nuts once he finaly shows up
I have a theory, in the loser baby song in episode 4, at one point they say they are on a demon's leash, and as they say it we see that Angel Dust's is tightened less than Husk's, so maybe even though we don't see it, maybe Alastor treats Husk worse than Valentino. and Angel Dust is released earlier than Husk, so I think in a future episode Angel and Husk will leave Alastor and Valentino, but Angel will do it first and Husk will later.
I think that he’s off helping humanity and in a future season Charlie and the gang will get help from him to stop the corrupt angels.
I just like to believe that he has copious amounts of paperwork to do, so much so he doesn't know about anything that's happening in hell or Heaven-
