Hi mate This is the most useful video I found so far. I can’t find the dpf regen on the snap on scanner do I need to reset the soot level first ? Only option I see is if I have replaced dpf. Cheers
Ours is in limp mode with the dpf light on, I took it for a motorway spin for about 40 minutes but that didn't solve it. Do you have to use a scanner to get rid of codes for this? Or does it take longer for DPF to regenerate?
Hey I have theses codes on my seat ibiza 1.2 tdi, should I change the differential sensor and I wonder if I could fixe it after with a OBD (OBDII/EOBD+CAN)? P2463 P0405 P0403 P0238.
Hi no, but you can use other substances. One of the cheapest and best options are toilets bleach. The cheap Asda stuff is the real deal. That’s a lot better than the things sold at bullseye or euro car part …
Hiya have a golf 6 tdi 2012 with DPF problems in limp mode car barely gets up to 3k revs when i try to regenerate it... brought to garage for a forced DPF regeneration and still having the same issue power and revs still minimal what would you recommend thanks
I know it's been a year but the reason for the P2463 code it is purely a "calculated" figure. You need to be looking at the "measured". Calculated is just a counter that increases after a period of time when the ECM has calculated using various data points that the DPF must surely have X amount of soot in it. Even though the measured (the actual amount in there as read by the pressure sensor) is under the threshold. BMW have something similar in that the DPF has a milage counter of say 120k miles. If it hits that milage, even if the the DPF is good and working, the code will stick and can't be cleared using anything other than ISTA or some dealer level software in that case. What I'm trying to say is one is a guess, the other is the truth but you still need to reset it.
Udont need to reset it as it will by it self just buy a Diesel particulate filter cleaner from the petrol station and fill it up into your tank then drive about 20 mins doing 40mile it should reset by itself !
I've got that ssme problem right now i need a computer for the regen. Then il be able to get the dpf cleared on motorway. Any advice let me know thanks

@@davidwaters5348 yes the closet to zero the better it is, hence why when you reset the dpf sensor it goes back to zero and when you start driving the car it will start calculating the spot content again.
