I never understood how denny crum got a guard that good out of his home state...Reece Gaines was the most clutch player in UL history!!!

More to the point - Gaines and Smith are both from Wisconsin. Both made game winning shots against their "home" teams! What a finish tonight. Hope someone posts Louisville's victory over Marquette from tonight (Sat Feb 17, 2007)

Tom Crean is an amazing coach. He has brought Marquette out of the depths and made them a top ten basketball team. I think they have the capability of at least going to the Final Four this year or even winning a National Championship.

Louisville + Marquette = Nothing but CLASSICS! Just one in a long line of amazing finishes from these two. I don't miss Travis Diener one bit, though. Seems like that kid was at Marquette for like 8 years. He was one of those cats you couldn't WAIT to graduate so you didn't have to deal with him anymore. Alway a thorn in our sides. Good times...

You can tell Dick has watched a whole lot of basketball when he freaks out just as Gaines releases the ball like he knew it was good even though it was a 50 foot jumper.

Crazy how Reece Gaines was the star but Franny Garcia was the only one to get a NBA look

Where's the video of UL blowing the 19 point second half lead at home to MU a few weeks later?

History didn't repeat itself. Marquette couldn't get it done with 5.5 to go (at home).
