Scrap Silver Ingot Casting

Casting some Silver ingots from scrap silver detected and found by Lord Lovell of the Metal Detecting Forum ... www.metaldetect...
You can see my lump of Silver in the background :)
Thought i had lost this Chris but just found it on a memory stick :)

So cool I have been collecting all my scrap silver to do this, what was the powder you put in? and did all that silver go in to make those :)

The powder is Borax Jackie, it helps remove the impurities - they come to the surface and you scrape it off, you can see those bits on the paving slab beside the mould when im pouring it, with Precious Metals the borax helps stop it sucking oxygen in. Yes that bag of scrap silver made those little ingots, if you look to the rear right of the scrap silver youll see my lump of silver ... 12.4 Ounce :)
